  • This is a first time since Gannett owned both WXIA in Atlanta and 13-WMAZ here in Macon and the Atlanta station sounds as bad as Macon.

Same theme at both stations. Only WMAZ's graphics are blue.

I used to be upset when they took the Atlanta stations off our cable TV here. Now I see I am not missing much.

  • Thats in terms of WXIA. I have seen the channels in Macon and central GA area because I attended college at FVSU. Atlanta channels are better. Im just saying...

  • Sucktastic.

  • It is a step down, but Gannett's money is fading because the company doesn't know what to do.. Not only is the ecomony hitting everybody, but Gannett is losing money, and their stations are falling like Brittany Spears career! I agree it a step down, but you can't tell the boys at GANNETT that!

  • Wow. What a huge step down. What happened to when they commissioned their own theme (aptly named "Alive." ) I guess a top 10 market isn't deserving of that anymore??

  • What kind of crappy news theme is this?! Bring either theme music's 615's Alive or The Tower back!

  • I agree. This theme is bullshit. The Tower package they used prior to this was much more authorative than this techno ripoff in the mode of "Advantage".

  • I miss The Tower

  • @excuseyou77 i adore your username

  • yeah tower was much better. tower v.3 was the best. i little more actiony

  • Yeah, Tower was MUCH better. Sounds like the start of Chariott's Fire now...

  • OK the girl said 11 Alive wow.. Now Gannett bring back Tower to WXIA, WKYC and maybe WGRZ.
