  • mmm, this is good stuff, but it doesnt really answer 2 questions, what does evap do while the car is running (no OBD testing goin on) and what does it do normally when the car is off? does it simply "vent" to atmos through the charcoal canister normally, and occasionally pull vacuum to clear the canister of fumes while running? i'm looking to convert to a standalone ECU yet maintain certain things like this via manual control.

  • Better then my teacher ! Very well done

  • Great presentation. Thanks

  • Thanks very helpful video

  • tanks for the leak detecting info

  • "The vent opens briefly to allow tank and atmospheric pressures to re-equalize" Which means the fumes are dumped in the atmosphere. (WTF!!!??) Also a leak smaller than .02 is ACCEPTABLE and the vehicle passes. WTF??? That means certain leak sizes into the atmosphere are OK and the earth will NOT be harmed. It really means that this is a politician's invention. Inspection Stations can force you to pay tribute to the EPA instead of you feeding your family.
