  • I think Adam Lambert would fit perfectly with Queen! He is flamboyant and vocal wise similiar to Freddie Mercury!

  • I don't know if you're aware of the fact that Roger is deaf, so everything he says about Lambert is just his imagination!

  • @ArquestQ

    You're absolutely right

  • New fag replacing old fag !

I would like to hear what Paul Rodgers thinks of this ???

I don't think he is jealous or something like that, but i'm sure he isn't happy with this horrible choice.

Personally i'm disappointed why Brian & Roger chose this prick instead of somebody who is really a rock singer (not has to be old) a young real rock singer not this fag.

I always admired Brian, he's really a guitar legend

  • Brians very well spoken

  • The White Queen (Goddess) legend involves gay/bi people bringing back Love into all people's lives, because they have a special independence wired into the subconscious. When people understand that the being in front of you has their own feelings and spirit, regardless of what their image represents to you, they learn to love.

  • he's so old but still powerful

  • The Kid has the vocal chops to pull off the songs, what more can you say. If your a Queen purist and it makes you mad then blame Brian and Roger. Look, nothing is sacred anymore it's been that way for the last 15 years. People want cash and they want to hang on to what ever fame they can. When Bowie kicks and someone put The Spiders together with a new vocalist i am seriously going to jump.

  • @beauty8116 If you do that, you'll totally miss the point and project way too much importance on things. Seriously, can you not relate to the fact that these people have real emotions and have gone through a process of transformation in their own lives, thinking about all these things that you accuse them of? Just because your interpretation of sacrality is one and it gets contradicted, it doesn't mean "nothing is sacred anymore". You just don't see what's going on behind the linear.

  • @beauty8116 They have been through a process in their own lives, they are human beings & nothing good can come out of blaming anybody. You totally miss the point if you jump just because of your own projections of "sacrality". Life is so much more than the linear bits and pieces you see, open your eyes. Are younger people not allowed to relate to the living spirit of Queen anymore, just because it was different in your day? Should we all be incapable of evolution? Cash & fame are kids' games.

  • @beauty8116 sorry for the double comment, it didn't show up the first time and said "error". (Of our ways... lol!)

  • Queen is the best!!! I fell in love with this fantastic four guys 30 years ago (I was 12)! Their songs simply touched my soul (and still touch). I love you Freddie, Brian, Roger and John. Queen forever!!

  • good for him:) ok 4 us? freddie was the man, there can be only one!

  • stop to al this singers...please..

  • i guess for a lot of people it still hurts to see someone other than freddie singing lead for queen, myself included. but adam did a great job they are/were both great singers and freddie's legacy with queen will live on, almost the 20th annivarsary of freddie's death :( i cant believe it.

  • @freddyforever75 No offense , but is not an anniversary . 24 november 1991 is a commemoration . 5 september 1946 is an anniversary .

  • WOW! What a HUGE heartfelt compliment from Roger! Like Adam I've grown up with Queen especially during the early 80's and I've always loved and admired them. Words can't express how proud I am of Adam for, yet again, singing with THE most iconic rock bands in the whole universe and to follow in the great Freddie Mercury's footsteps. May Adam's career be a long and successful one :) I Love You Adam xoxoxox

  • @FeeBD37 Bless him, Adam was only born in the early 80s, never mind grow up in them. So much of Queen's back catalogue is from before he was even born and the rest of it from when he was little yet he is so aware of it and such a fan, and of other music and artists from before his time.

  • I'm sure they were delighted to go on stage with Adam, not just for the great voice but because it is so easy to be with. The anti-diva in person. Doesn't complain,no crazy requests, friendly and humble. Met him in Milan he was the nicest singer I've ever seen. Freddie will always be in our hearts,no one here is looking for a replacement. It was just one exhibition.

  • @vamosama In another interview on the radio a couple of days ago, Roger described working with Adam as "a lot of fun" and "effortless", and said they would do it again.

Freddie will never be replaced, he was a one-off, but this boy comes as close as I've seen or heard, without even trying and without being an impersonator or tribute act and whilst being a one-off himself.

  • The only ,really painful truth : 80`s magic , with Fredy in the foreground , will not come back again . Never .

  • Love Queen and love Adam. Queen loves Adam. So simple. Why does this have to turn into a contest between Freddie and Adam? Get a grip peeps, show some gratitude for greatness!

  • he is not trying to replace freddie mercury!

  • Haaa! I love how Rodger slipped Adam a check where he couldn't refuse, ahahaaaaa, sneaky one he is... At least, I'm darn sure that's what it was. ;)

Aww man, I love these men, especially together. :D They totally have this mutual adoration and respect for each other. :) Rodger and Brian kinda father him & Adam totally looks up to them and Freddie. Aww. ♥ Feeling so warm and fuzzy, right now. My favorite singer & favorite band... Awesome, awesome, aweome.

Anybody else get that, too? :)

  • I personally would like more to see Gaga singing with Queen. Adam's voice kinda reminds me more of Axl Rose's.

  • Adam 1 in a 100 million? Then freddie must be 1 in a 100 trillion.

  • fuck the adam haters

    <3 love you adam

  • Love you Queen, Love you Adam. Miss you Freddie.

  • doh, I meant Brian and Roger ofc

  • THIS IS A SHIT...I 'LL SAY FOR EVER QUEEN DIED WITH FREDDIE !

  • @TheSummerwine20 NO THEY DID NOT! Queen will live forever. Adam could sing with Queen but could NEVER EVER EVER EVER replace Freddie.

  • @katminni who said that he is trying to replace him! OMG

  • ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • They looked like they've been together forever...so naturally!

  • @Thachamon WELL SAID! ROCK!!!

  • GREAT!!! GREAT!!! MEMORABLE!!!

  • O blah utube comments.. I wish there was a way to hide them so as not to be tempted to glance down and then be wearied by the ignorance and hate.

Well, besides that.. QUEEN w/ Adam Lambert was all kinds of Brilliant! LOVED ♥

  • @asigrist wow you really know nothing about adam do you because "glass closet" is the furthest possible thing from the truth lololol

adam lives his life openly and proudly and has done so for the past 10 years :) why would he need to mention his sexual orientation in every interview he does?

  • @sleepflower84 Maybe he does now...it seems that early on, his comments struck me that he was kind of dragged out of the closet a bit and he was maybe out, but not all that proud....but I haven't followed him lately, maybe it changed. But his comments here are perfectly in line with my impression of him from early on.

  • i dont like adam's songs but he kicked ass singing queen!!

  • @Rayluaza I loved Adam's first album, For You Entertainment, he had to release it right after the AI tour within, I think, 2 months. He is now writing his second album which will truly be his vision....buy his Glam Nation Live CD with visuals and you will enjoy it very much, Freddie's quote "A concert is not a live rendition of our album. It's a theatrical event." I have to say I still love to watch Adam with Queen because I am huge fans of both....

  • How open and honest can we be again, Adam? The word you forgot to actually say is "gay." You and Freddie have a lot in common - sure, you both are living/lived in a glass closet, except Freddie wasn't living in an open time. That's some weak sauce, Mr. Lambert.

  • @asigrist I don't think Adam has ever had any trouble saying the word "gay." He's said it in Rolling Stone, Out Magazine (twice), The Advocate, in videos for the Trevor Project, at his EQ CA award acceptance, at his PFLAG award acceptance, on 20/20... is he required to say it in every interview? Or perhaps we might instead talk about his voice, which is what he is actually famous for.

  • @JuliMcCarthy Umm, he's the one who brought it up, not me. Or maybe the "something in common" with Freddie is actually that they're both of Persian descent. We don't really know because he didn't explicitly say what it was. I find it pretty ironic that he was probably talking about how people can be so open, the he didn't even say what he was open about!

Honestly, I haven't followed his career lately, but I seem to remember lots of similar kinds of comments from him early on.

  • @asigrist lol, you obviously missed another interview clip of him with him with Brian and Freddie from this event (on mtv voices, I don't think it will let me embed the link) where he says "I love Queen because I'm a Queen and will always be a Queen". Or just google his recent new interviews with The Advocate and Out. He is so far out of the closet and has been for so long it's not even funny.

  • @soliphilist Oh, I did miss that - that's a much better reaction. Though it makes it slightly more confusing that he soft-pedaled his statement here. Maybe he's just so incredibly post-gay he doesn't even need to say it.

  • @asigrist Haha, he's been out for a loonnnnnng time and he's never been afraid to show it. But the thing is, that's all the media talks about concerning him. He just didn't want that part of himself to overshadow the actual music like it often does (thanks to the media's sensationalism on that topic). He's quite fond of the post-gay concept. A "Yeah he's gay, that's not everything that makes up who he is, now let's move on," kinda thing. Adam is very UN-weak sauce, if you must know. Trust me. ;)

  • Brian.please restore your unfinished song with Freddie-called "i guess im falling down" its forgotten masterpiece!!!

  • "wow, what a voice, one in a hundred million"..... coming from Queen, there's nothing to explain. All you Adam-haters, listen to what the icons had to say about Adam and shut up!!!!

  • Love the interview! So humble and down to earth. Maybe that's exactly how a person reacts - after some 40 yrs of pure greatness!!!

Amazing live performance at EMA 2011; loved every second of it. Adam was able to deliver a great rendition of Freddie's stage presence. Lucky & talented singer. You do need guts (and pipes) to perform on the same stage with Queen!!!

  • Met Adam, honestly he's the least arrogant singer ever seen. He knows very well Freddie is a legend. He said it was a dream and an honour to be asked.

  • No one hates Adam. He's a super nice humble guy. Queen asked him to sing, he never offered himself. He didn't even want to be announced. And his voice is incredible. You could tell he couldn't hear himself, the earphones weren't working because I saw him live and he sings way better than that. Watch him sing "Crawl thru fire" from The Zodiac show.

  • @LoveLasers why did u watch this vid then,, hmmmm,,?

  • @LoveLasers me too

  • this band is sooo amazing, i love Queen! <3

  • i love them

  • They are/were NOT a virtuoso band! Compare some of the early Queen stuff against the music of bands like Yes, Genesis, Emerson Lake and Palmer and you'll see the difference straight away. What made Queen more sucessful than the aforementioned bands is the accessibilty to the general public, more soul in playing rather than playing for the sake of showing off. I am not slating Queen, they are one of my favorite bands of all time, but they were not the best in terms of musical prowess.

  • Brian is far to modest, Queen IS a virtuoso band. Not only technically great, but also fantastic songwriting. Queen II and A Night At the Opera is pretty much unparallelled in the rock world IMO! Great collaboration with Adam Lambert, and great playing!

  • Love the performing at the EMA ..Amazing!! love Queen and Adam <3

  • Don't like this arrogant Adam guy "Freddie and I have many things in common" dude ... do you know what you are saying??

  • @antikspielzeug Adam arrogant? You don't know what you talking about Adam respects Freddie !

  • @antikspielzeug hes just trying to say that hes gay like freddie, thats all

  • @antikspielzeug I don't think he meant that he's as good as Freddie or compares himself to him. I didn't hear that at all. I think he refered to Freddie as an inspiration - to being free to be who you are. Freddie definately left a legacy in that department and I think he meant that he appreciates that and that he has inspired Adam to do the same. Sure no one can be Freddie but he was a great inspiration to many, including myself. :)

  • @antikspielzeug i think he meant that both of them are gay.. coz after that adam said about great progression in society, being honest and being who he is etc

  • @antikspielzeug adam is not arrogant; hes grounded kid-i know him were enighbors here in los angeels.; hes mix breed also; scananvian- american mix blood. frddie mercury-adma lambert-elvis presley and michael jackson all born under the chinese zodiac sighn (phsychic lady comment. adam lambert is down to earth kid.

  • @jadegiles25 That would mean justin bieber as well D:

  • Fantastic Guys Love it!

  • ADAM'S DREAM COME TRUE.LOVE ADAM AND QUEEN.

  • Not virtuoso's? You can't right a song like 'March of the Black Queen' or 'Teo Torriate' and be anything less than virtuoso. So modest and that's one of the many things I like about Queen :)

  • @ClassicRockTeen1995

Couldn't agree more. No one can sing like Freddie did, it's extremely difficult to pantomime Brian's guitar playing - he's so incredibly individual, Roger is an outstanding drummer with accents and traits all of his own, and John had a beautiful melodic sensibility to his bass playing. But most importantly, they could all write fantastic music and wonderful lucious songs that transended all kinds of genre. Long live Queen!

  • @ClassicRockTeen1995 They're incredible composers, but they're not virtuosos. The definition of a virtuoso in this context is someone who can play an instrument with extraordinary technical ability. They make fantastic, highly original music, but composition is about creativity, whereas virtuosity is about rigorous, constant practice over many years.

  • @ClassicRockTeen1995 Brian is nothing if not humble.

  • first!

  • @slashrm90 Eerm..How did you get nto the top comments?? We do not care if you came first in order of comments.
