  • My dad played aginst him in high school

  • 2:30 the great one!

  • Everything about France sucks, I like Canada, I like most people I meet from europe. can't stand the snobby, stuck up French or French Canadians... I don't even like listening to their gay ass language at this point...

  • replay looks like amonte scored. not leclair

  • bolbokolokbolbombobombo! speak English LOL

  • Problem with this Canada team was heart.. not so much in the players playing but the wieners that stayed home... Roy, Lemiex, Bourque, Kariya,

  • John LeClair is awesome! The best Hockey ever is a bit too much but John is great!!!

  • The best hockey you'll ever see.Old rules, physical, exciting, northamerican hockey and talent, the nhl sized rink.'96 World Cup was the best tournament in history of international hockey, period.

  • Fuck you. Next time you want to talk shit about the USA, try doing it on a video where the USA actually lost the tournament. F'n Canucklehead.

  • @pqshindelus Shut up your stupid mouth yopu dick. I'm NOT a ccanadian. I don't talk dirty about the US. I only say Canada is the true God of Hockey. This comment was ment to someone I personally know and who is a bit too much US obsessed. I like the US but in Hockey I am a Canada fan. So shut up your dirty and shitty mouth and continue to suck a cock you asshole.

  • Does this mean we're not friends anymore? Because if you weren't my friend, well, I'm not sure I could bear it!

  • @pqshindelus Everybody who likes Hockey -no matter if you're Canadian or American- is my friend.

  • @GalilGade cool

  • @pqshindelus yes

  • some of the best talent ive ever seen on both sides

  • who is #19 on usa?

  • @minidoherty It should be Doug Weight.

  • Lol Kanada!!! HAHAHA!!!

  • it was own goal

  • One hell of a tournament.

  • world cup and standly cup in same year in same building...the center was always that loud the goal horn blocks it out

  • thats probably the loudest ive ever heard the center get. ive been to flyers games at the center and it never gets that loud, not even in the playoffs.

  • I love Johnny Vermont!

  • damn straight, how awesome do you think it was watching a hometown hero (st. albans vermont) who played for your favorite team (flyers) score the equalizer IN PHILLY.... I was pretty young when this happened so I barely even remember it but it was amazing

  • What amazed me was not the goal, but who scored- a FLYER scored in Philly.

    Talk about ironic.

  • *coincidence.

what's even more amazing is how many flyers were out there for that goal. otto, leclair, lindros, and desjardins.

  • fins i think

  • What language is this in?

  • It's swedish

  • these were the best jerseys... and I dont just mean the US and canada... all the jerseys were great in the 96 world cup. Russia, Czech Republic, Sweden... you name it

  • Thats right my boy John Leclair straight out of St. Albans Vermont

  • Canada ended up winning this game, didn't they? I think Stevie Y scored in O.T. If he did, what's the difference in the goal was good or not? Canada ended up winning, anyway. Also, no one seems to have any video from the other two games of this Canada Cup Final! WTF! Regardless of where your loyalty lies, this was some of the best hockey that I've ever seen in my life!

  • geez dude. usa rocks. all the canada teams stink--montreal, toronto, and calgary

  • Since Ottawa doesn't have the best record in the NHL or anything (and I'm American).

  • yeah, well ottwawa did get to the cup last year, but who cares. 1980 was the miracle on ice when usa beat the soviet union

  • The Miracle On ICe was cool, but lets not forget the Canuck's here. The have one the division 2 of the last 3 years in one of the hardest division in hockey. "All Canada teams stink" think about your comment man. Those franchises you mentioned, are very storied teams, amazing history.

  • sorry, i forgot. how many times did the canucks win the cup though?

  • lol dude, thats cop out man. You start your comment with a childish comment about great franchices that have won more cups than probobly years you've been alive. Then you ask how many times have the Canucks won lol.. man your all over the board here. If this soup is too cold, move on to another one. peace.

  • i'm a devils fan. they won three times.

    ;-)

  • ya devils have been quite a good team for some time now.

  • yeah, they've only been a team since 1982

  • tu as raison... la meilleure equipe de toutes et les Canadiens... ils sont gagneurs de 26 coupe de stanley. C'est un peu plus que toutes les autres equipes de mon conaissance

  • hate to tell you but Detroit's doing better and will probably win it. No, really, I do hate to tell you. freakin Red Wings

  • Yeah, but at the time I made the post I think the Senators had more points. I'm not sure about Detroit winning it all though. In recent years they've been great in the regular season but they've choked in the playoffs. I was glad the Ducks beat them last year.

  • canada is always the best, no matter what place we come in ... canada, the REAL world cup winners of 1996 ... we were robbed

  • Would you like some cheese with that whine?

  • I was at this game!

  • He was in the crease, and he knew it. Travesty.

  • He was in the crease, but it honestly doesn't even look like he touched the puck. :o

  • To me, it's hard to tell where the puck was. I think it was already in the crease and then Leclaire went in after it. It looked like the puck was either under Joseph or it was on the top of the crease. The rules allowed you to go in after the puck, after the puck went into the crease. It looks to me like the it was a clean goal. The Canadiens didn't protest, at all.

  • I didn't see any red white and blue's in the crease, at all! They were close, but replays were not conclusive. I don't know how you can see their skates in the crease. If they were in the crease, it's tough to see it.

  • LeClair had his skate in the crease. You can spot it on the top-down play. That being said, if you look at the replay starting t about 1:57 he doesn't even touch the puck -- the puck is already behind the goaltender when he hits his pad -- and it really looks like the Canadian player popped it in trying to force a freeze. I remember watching this on TV and thinking the same thing -- a botched play by my Canucks almost costing us the game. ;)

  • Great moment.

  • this is the only time in my life i wanted, and still want, a crowd watching hockey in Philadelphia to be that loud.

i would love this 3 game series on DVD....in English, lol

  • you dont have the english broadcast of this by any chance do you

  • Sorry. I want the English version too.

  • Obviously thinks YouTube needs more foreign lagueges
