  • Problem is though, it is a sponsor and sometimes sponsors flash up on programs really quickly, however, I can see that it being so regular can cause mind control

  • Yvan eht noij...

  • Oh :0 I suddenly feel the need to but olay :):)

  • lol I saw a shitload of Olay. :P

  • i saw all of them

  • Olay flashes at about 0:11

This is a way for Network Ten to reduce their costs and I think it is a good idea as long as it is more than 3 frames/second

  • Must... Purchase.... Olay !

  • I do not see the problem with this type of advertising because people will be too busy just watching the program to concentrate on the flashing images

  • I have to admit that this is gutsy. While i normally dont have a problem with subliminal adverts, It gets me really worked up to think that channel 10 would have the balls to show adverts that can CLEARLY be seen.

  • I doubt you saw the one at 19 seconds.

  • it looks like they used olay as transition sweep

  • theres 2 actullay one at the start and the obvius later one

  • There's 3. One at 2 seconds, one at 13 seconds and one at 19 seconds..

  • olay and motorola

  • must... buy... olay.

  • OLAY! Meh, this advertising strategy does not bother me...

  • Its like a Tyler Durdan flash in Fight Club just far less interesting! Those advertising whores.

  • i dont really see the problem here. this is quite effective i like this its neat. the other stuff that iv seen though where it just flashed like randomly is a bit weird. but rly, this is a cool way to advertise.

  • Money whores!

  • OLAY!!

  • Channel 10 - such idiots!!!!

Of course people would notice THAT!!!

It was like right in your face - it was there long enough to be noticed more than it should've been. Well done for taking action against channel 10 and their never ending stunts. =)

    Thank you for Media Watch!!!

  • Dispicable

  • OLAY!

  • were all gonna die

  • i keep seeing the words oley how ever you spell it all through the video i loe the women in the shiny gol dress shes so beautiful in it

  • Hello everyone.. Big update today. ACMA has accepted my complaint and TEN is going to be investigated. Check the video description for more information.

  • IT WAS OLAY!!!

  • no shit

  • olay.. olay.. olay

  • i'm doing a project on subliminal messages.. ..can someone please give me the URL for this so i can upload it on a cd to show the class..PLEASE AND THANK YOU!

  • I would mail the person who made this video so then can send the clip to u.

  • hey! I am too :]

  • lol i thougt it was just advertising. xD

  • but how many times? Do you see the one at 19 seconds?

  • there 3

  • that was shocking.

  • There is a subliminal message in King Kong, It says Cocoa Cola like on abilboard in the background

  • ahh thats not subliminal messaging

  • wot do u can it then moron?

  • I call it advertising

  • alrite moron why dont u look up the deffinition of sumbliminal advertising. then when u know, im sure there will be no more argument

  • Advertising at, or below the normal level of awareness, aka flashing on the screen for around 10 to 99 milliseconds.... a brand on a billboard isn't a flashed frame good sir. It appears you are wrong

  • MUST BUY PEACH OLAY FOR KATIE NOONAN..

  • i dont know what olay is but i want some

  • its a skin treatmet cream

  • Whoa! I din't even notice that at first. Had to watch it again, and look for olay.

  • ARIAS are ugly, so they need the creme.

    Die in a fire

  • i never saw anything!! but i seem to have run out of olay owell i need to buy some more -.-

    yay...

  • i don't really think that's subliminal. they were running with a theme and they stuck with it. but yeah, advertising does go to far. and it doesn't make me want to buy olay anyway.

  • I don't even know what olay is. I guess it would be hard for me to buy it.

  • I picked it everytime - thats crap advertising. The Ring motif in said movie was harder to catch.

  • wow i didnt notice that.

  • Must....Buy...OLAY!!!

  • i want me some olay....

    lol but seriously WTF

  • never buying any of their shit, ever, just because of this. no kfc, no chupa cups, no olay, ever.

  • dear oh dear.. i must go buy some Olay products now!

  • I definitely saw OLAY at least twice...

  • like there isn't enough ads on in the ad breaks on free to air tv already

  • Well that is dodgy as crap. Goes to show the world gets more commercialised every day, that even now awards for great music is put on the backburner to sell hand cream. gg.

  • rewards for great music.

    bahahahahahahaha

  • i.... feel like moisturising

  • I think they claim it's only near sublimal. Freaking treating the audience like idiots... though the audience may be idiots, it's still uncalled for.

They should make a product that's actually good then they wouldn't need to try and mind control people into buying it.

  • Even near subliminal is still illegal in Australia. Murdoch will need a barrelfull of Smithers type monkeys to wriggle out of this one.

  • Actually isn't it illegal. All we need is for someone to complain . . .

  • Yes, it breaches the code of conduct, which is legislatively enforce as a term of the broadcasting licence. You need to complain to the network, then if you are unsatisfied with the networks response, you complain to ACMA.

  • like compressing the credits of movies and shows to 1/4 of the screen wasnt enough! they still feel they need more damn ads haha

  • suddenly i feel like washing my hair...

  • With skin care products? :P

  • I never thought Roving Enterprises and Network Ten would stoop so low... Im very disappointed!

  • Rose is scum. He's already cheating on Belinda, and now he's trying to use mind control on us. Would be interesting if there's subliminal stuff during his tonight show designed to make him seem funny.

Not that it's working on me.

  • Cheating on her.....she's dead! Their relationship is over because she died and he needed to move on at SOME point!

  • Cheating on Belinda? WTF.

  • Who is Rose?

  • Well that is just trolling... along the bottom of the sea floor.

    Name misspelled for a start.

And I hope he had nothing to do with this crap.

  • Does it really matter? I mean seriously?

  • Haha, Seriously

  • Yes it does. Unless you like having your subconsciouss mind toyed with.

  • It doesn't. Unless you don't have a strong enough mind to actually think for yourself. Jeez... why are people getting so cut about it all?

  • Exactly. It's like when the Republicans put the word "rats" in ads against the Democrats in 2000. Subliminal advertising does not work.

In fact, in this case it's not subliminal advertising at all, because Olay appears on screen long enough for you to consciously register having seen it. So who cares??

  • Thank goodness someone else has some sanity! :-) CHEERS!

  • pricks!

  • Just saw this on Media Watch. Very suss.

  • This is just very weird.....Why did Ten do this?? who's bright idea was this? I thought this dirty ways had gone out of fashion....i am very shocked to be blunt.

  • at first i didn't know what i was looking at. then i watched it again and spoted the olay and for a second i thought "olay? wtf? this a new program or artist or nomination? lol" before remembering what it really was..

could only see the olay ad. where's the telstra and kfc..

  • man that's dodgy...

  • If you poor saps are that worried about these companies manipulating your minds, you're just weak. Maybe you should send some emails to yourself.

There was logos pasted everywhere all night (I was present at Acer Arena) so it's not like it was a big secret that Olay, etc. were sponsoring. Go outside for some sun and air guys, you're getting paranoid.

  • Personally, I think there's a difference between having logos pasted in clear view, like posters and such to those covertly hidden like in here.

  • Touched a nerve huh?

You can't do that. It has been banned since the 1950's.

    Get back to the future.

  • It's the one at 19 seconds which is the hardest to see. Apparently there were KFC ads that were appearing DURING a music clip too, earlier on.

  • Why do I get the sudden urge to go out and purchase Olay products?

    Tsk tsk.

  • Thank you for posting this.

  • I did NOT see this when watching...

  • I saw it yesterday night. They had different sponsors for different awards. This must be reported.
