What great memories of this trip - the islands were totally immune to all the unrest in Greece so no worries. The food was unbelievable - Crete has the best Greek salads anywhere! The staff's Greek hospitality was second to none from partying to excursions - for sure do the Samaria gorge hike, the beach feast, the biking, the sailing, the mud bath...and Santorini, words cannot describe it - the view from the porch outside the cave homes is the stuff that picture perfect post cards are made of.
Great video and it looks like a marvellous place to go! Haven't been to Crete yet so this is now definitely on my list! Will check out the 2011 opportunities offered by STI so hope the dates work out! Thanks for the inspiration!

@missmerrie1 perhaps because the island of Crete is a Greek island, in fact it is the largest and most populous of the Greek islands and the fifth largest island in the Mediterranean sea.
