You know, my collecting of vintage calculators and office machines gives me an even greater appreciation for this movie! I LOVE the retro looking tech. Even for 1985, that stuff was downright alien looking! The teletypes and the open mounted CRTs together was a cool look. My favorite calculators use CRTs, so for me, it's a quite familiar vintage feel!
There's a lot of clueless people on youtube. Bureaucracy is probably one of mankinds most important and useful inventions. It would be close to impossible to run any medium or large sized org. without it. It's not without critique however: Weber saw it almost like an organic beast which had to be held in place by an external power so it didn't gained it's own self-maximizing momentum. In the end of the day it's just a tool. A hammer is useful but it can also be used to kill with.
This film actually freaked me! What if there actually was an effective terrorist campaign and the government had to pin the blame on innocent people...
@SlimzProductionz Yes, the most tyrannics states in the story of modern world are all burocratics. Beginning by the Staline's USSR, where the opacity of the system hidded the dephts of the worst stories (I mean Tchernobyl, the pollution in the volga, etc...) and even China is now allike this.

The new My Little Pony episode brought me here, with a decent parody of this tune. LOL! Inspired me to give this excellent movie another watch.

@taffelost That makes a lot of sense. Bureaucracy is necessary, but it must be used properly.
