@philquine Graffiti was born in the mid 80s in the UK, I recall scratching the front windows of a decaying 55106 that was laid up in Canton sidings probably mid-late 93. As you may have gathered I prefer a more ''hands on'' experience with my locos - great video anyway brought back the said memories!
@ArmitageShanked - Actually I was just joshing with you. I think you will find Graffiti goes back at least to Roman times. I've never really understood the primitive urge to destroy and vandalise things, unless it is some kind of protest like "Romani ite domum" lol. Although there is a difference between graffiti and tagging. If it makes me laugh though I can live with it like "Be alert, Britiain needs lerts" for example. Cheers again.
Why did Oldfield bother ripping off his own music? This is virtually identical to Tubular Bells.
Great shots amigo, I'd love to go back to the 60's and 70's, buy a Western Region railrover ticket for a week and spend all my time trainspotting. Bliss....
I used to be a secondman at Stratford MPD in East London. In 1979 I got sick of the sight of that corporate blue and grey. Now I wish I could go back with my camera and video camera to film it all.
Hi, Yes I think we were all a bit sick of it back then and we craved change. I remember we used to get excited over something as simple as a white stripe or a grey roof. And remember those names? All carefully chosen and given to the locomotives they were proud of. That's the trouble with todays railways, there's no pride like there was years ago. Thanks for viewing. Cheers!!! :-)
I did graffiti on these back in the day!!!
Was thoroughly satisfying

@ArmitageShanked - Rubbish! Graffiti wasn't invented until 1992!

Plenty of the old 50's. Stunningly good photos of BR's old 'Rail Blue' days.
