This really isn't a great phone, I have one and the email already screwed up (can only recieve not send) and it's slow along with the internet, takes over 30 seconds to turn on, thick, and has a weird keyboard.

This is a good phone. You think it is a small screen because your previous phone had a much larger screen. DUH!!! The phone is fine. The Tilt is actually a little slower than the Duo and unless you are used to the bulkiness of the old phone rather than the duo. What does it matter if it isn't a Pocket PC. It is a good phone if you need a smallish phone used for texting and for making calls. Plus the Duo is WAAAAAAAYYYY cheaper than the Tilt. I'd rather spend $100 than $300.

I have never tried the LG Shine before, but my sister has the A737. I tried texting on the A737, and my fingers are too fat for it, so for me, I think I would get the LG Shine instead.

If you are a huge texter, then you should get a phone with a QWERTY keyboard and not a touchscreen keyboard. I've tried the IPhone's keyboard, it's kind of hard to get the letters you want. Plus, an advantage of a real keyboard is that once you get used to it, you don't have to look at the keyboard all the time. You can just feel and know where the letters are.

Buy another charger from ebay. I'm sure you can find it for a few bucks. I bought my mom two extra chargers for a total of $10. If you buy it in the mall on those carts or whatever, they charge you $15 and up for one charger.

Well there is always the Blackberry. I think the Blackberry Curve is very cute. I would have gotten it myself if I had no other choice than the Tilt. I do prefer Windows over any other OS because I am very familiar with that. There are so many programs out there made for Windows. I customized my Tilt with the software that are available to my likings. I also think that touch screen makes it easier to navigate. What phone are you upgrading from?

To Be honest the pantech duo is not that great.i got it when it first came out then like 4 months later it started lagging on me then the screen turned black and it doesnt work at all. my cousin got hers two months after mines and same thing happen to her phone. so i recommend not to get this phone.

Really? A Duo2? Wow! I was hoping they'd come out with an improved one. Maybe you should wait for it. I really like their design. Unless you can't wait for it to come out, then I think you should try using the Duo before you decide to keep it. I don't think the Duo is worth its price. I just got my Tilt today. Once I powered it up, I fell in love with it. I think it's a huge improvement from the Cingular 8125.

Compare the specifications. The Tilt offers more and better stuff. The Duo compared to my Cingular 8125 is no match. My old phone is way better than the Duo. I'm pretty sure the Tilt is better and faster.

The guy that I always go to for phones stopped selling the Duo at his store because too many people return it. Since he didn't have it, I ordered it online. He warned me not to get the Pantech Duo. He guaranteed that I will return it. Now he is right, I am so embarrassed to go back.

Yes, one of the reasons why I'm returning it is because it is slow. I'm not talking about how fast the screen flips, but how slow it takes for programs to open and close. Sometimes when I'm browsing the internet, it would freeze for 10+ seconds. Switching programs are slow too. One of the reasons why it's slow is because when you close a program, it doesn't really close. You have to go to the task manager and terminate it yourself.

It's also hard for me to type on. I think you can see that I made a typo in the video where I enter facebook in the ie. The screen is too small for me since I am used to the 8125. I like the touchscreen too, better for browsing internet. I really like the size and the design of the phone, but I'm just so disappointed in the performance.

OooK. The tilt is actually a little slower at redrawing the screen. the internet speed isnt the phones problem its yours. it looks like you JUST took it out of the box for this vid. which means you have the memory card that came with it. Buy a BIGGER card. (if you use the internet alot i would go with atleast a 4gig). Plus until your phone caches the pages that you view they will load slowly. Dont trade your phone, just learn how to use it.

I've had the phone for 5 days when I took this vid. I used a 2gb card with it. I believe my Cingular 8125, which is a predecessor of the Tilt, has better performance than the Duo. I know how to use the Duo, but I'm just not satisfied with it. I prefer to use a newer version of my Cingular 8125 which has many improvements. There are a lot more software available to the Tilt anyway.

And have you seen then Cnet reviews? Duo is rated 6.7 while the Tilt is rated 8.3 (Good vs Excellent).
