Because Metal wasn't made to LOOK all mean and evil, it need to BE mean and evil, you need to show the pain, hate and agony in your lyrics, in your music. Metal is more than looks and "badass" sound, is the way you show 'em how, how you feel, that made Metal good. Slipknot is only a "mass catchers" and make songs to get popularity, they aren't evil enough. Maybe if they wears stupid mask and get a decent guitar tunings and be Serious they can really be metal.

That song showed me how music can create an evil atmosphere, and Slipknot simply couldn't do that with music, it was all about the whiny lyrics.
