  • I was right,my hubby got it right away=) Whenever people move farther away from Clark,he heals. That's why Lois says "move back, way back" to the crowd(notice she realizes the connection when Clark's back starts healing) and then she walks towards the leader so he backs away. The blue liquid was blue because it was fire that was so hot,not because of blue meteor rock. When Clark got buried, the dirt glowed blue because people were still too close. It glowed yellow to show the sun healing him.

  • Yeah, the references to "a god"... and Jor-el being all seeing & all-knowing, really bother me. I grew up with Superman and never thought he was supposed to be worshipped. I don't like that Smallville has suggested before him being some "modern day Jesus"... it's wrong! Superman is an awesome HERO... but there is only the one and only ONE God, imo ;-)

Actually, I think Clark healed whenever THE PEOPLE were away from him, like when he was buried and they backed away after he got burned :-)

  • @luckyjasonfan I agree, I don't like anything being compared to God. Superman was never about that anyways. Smallville in some ways attempts to taint the goodness of Superman if that makes any sense.

The whole healing thing still didn't make any sense because it was in the soil remember and in their drinking water. Because remember when Clark cut open his hand and the cop wasn't around yet.

Oh are you going to get the new Superman comic that is coming out tomorrow?

  • Well, I have never read a comic in my life :-/ All my Superman love comes from the movies, tv shows, and cartoon. I wouldn't even know where to find one :P

Oh, I thought that the Blue K was just in the water, not in the soil where they buried him and that he didn't have his powers, so he got burned... but they show the people's feet backing away... I think that was the point. Also, I think the cop was there before Clark got cut; we just didn't see him until after - he had to drive up, right?

  • @luckyjasonfan I totally agree with you,Clark is not our saviour! Jesus is! Clark/superman is my favorite fictional hero, though=)

  • You are so right...superman needs Lex! I was thinking when they showed the hair clippings that it was actually going to be the adult Lex in the mirror. I'll have to watch this episode again with my hubby,he usually figures out how/why things happened that I didn't get (like the powers and no powers thing). Also,I too think they need to show more talking and cuddling. It's like they're just getting comfortable with each other and the next thing ya know, they're in bed=)

    Keep up the great revs

  • Oh, and one more thing: I, too, would love to see Clark and Lois finally have a great old conversation about EVERYTHING. Mostly, I would just love to see their reactions to each other. That's usually the fun anyway!

  • @icrodriguez7 I totally agree! It annoys me that we don't get to see those type of moments because it would really add that chemistry to their already hot relationship :)

  • And I also agree that Lois AND Lex are going to be extremely important if fueling Clark's inevitable EVOLUTION into Superman. And YES, I also don't understand how he survived the burn on his back. But oh well, let's just look away at these little inacuracies I guess. So all in all I have to say that I enjoyed this episode A LOT. The final love scene between C&L was beautifully done. It was sweet, romantic, and delicately done with reverence to the magnitude of the moment. Overall I loved it.

  • I have to say that your reviews are fantastically detailed! And your sarcasm is hilarious and a great breather to some of SV's harder-to-believe moments. But I agree completely that I was thrilled when Clark declared Lois to be the "most important thing in his life". It was a great way of finally bringing to the forefront his adoration and admitted need for Lois. We already know how much Lois adores Clark, so it's a great relief to finally learn that he is as in love with her as she is with him.

  • @icrodriguez7 Thankyou :) Sarcasm is really my superpower:) I agree that its nice to see Clark finally admit his feelings for Lois in everyway. What annoys me is that it takes him almost losing her to admit it. I guess it will take time for Clark to feel comfortable with his feelings for Lois.

  • I thought the exact same thing, some parts did not make sense, he could not use his powers, then he gets burned then he can use his powers. I thought the episode was ok, isis was better. Did you see the Ambush preview, Lucy kisses Clark and Lois

  • @nitoness I seen the preview right after the show but I'll have to go searching and see if I can see that little moment! Haha oh Lucy always trying to cause trouble!
