Dragon Age Origins had a very consistent and compelling story. Dragon Age 2, I subjectively think that it stands pale to its predecessor. Bioware should really focus on Dragon Age 3 if they want me back as their customer.
I am half torn, while I adore dragons and rpgs, my bias shows that I prefer strategy based RPG, ones where you have to plan out every careful attack and sequence to combine skills, ones that are less about hand speed and more about thought.That hasn't been popular since the late 90's, my style in games would be modern skill in designing mixed with the chess like elements of old. However for a web series this is quite good at the story is fun.
@TearisShatteredMoon Do you know about the Fire Emblem games? They're turn-based RPGs which require alot of thinking. I'm not the kind of patient guy who'll weight every possible scenario, but my brother is and can sometimes spend an hour deciding on a single action. You might like it :)

@SpamBAT The templar armour looks cartoonish becuase they are trying to do an exact copy like bringing it out of the game itself. The elf girl looks like a cossplayer with cheap elf ears. I just hate adaptations of games,books and animated series no matter the budget or quality of acting. I'm happy with the dragon age books.

Sorry I just cant believe the main actor everyone else is acceptable in there role maybe its eureka where shes a nerd but that suited her this does not without some more or proper sword fighting and just how she carry's her self everything looks too forced to be believable i dunno if she has time to settle into her role she might be able to pull it off just it seems strange that you would go from nerd to bad ass when you have had no experience in-between also i think it might be the directors
@forthecreed1990 i played like an hour and the combat system was worse than Final Fantasy13. FF13 and dragon age were huge dissapointments for me. The gameplay is mindless from what i played. Does it get any more dynamic? I may give it another chance.

@LordCHull Open world does not make an RPG, that's just one way of doing an RPG - the Dragon Age games set out to tell a story, the Elder Scrolls games set out to let you make your mark on the world in your own way. They're both RPGs that go about it in different ways and neither's better or worse than the other (although some of the design choices in Oblivion could've done with a bit more thought, but that's a topic for another discussion).
@ShadowFighter15 Open World I think makes a more exiting RPG because it gives you longer gameplay due to more side quests and just screwing around when you are bored. like Red Dead Redemption would let you run around and do what you wanted if you wanted to kill an hour or two but didn't really want to progress in the story. point A- Point B games do make good RPGs but they feel to guided RPG should be more open free choice. they don't have to be clearly but i think it makes them more fun.
@silverdragon147 Yeah, it really depends more on what the developers are better at or feel more comfortable with. Bioware's been doing RPGs like Dragon Age for nigh-on two decades now (or getting close to it - can't remember when Baldur's Gate first came out) and they've always focussed on the story-driven style rather than the freeform so they may as well play to their strengths. At least we've got the choice between freeform and story-driven rather than being forced to play just the one.

Elder Scrolls and Dragon age are both great RPG's, but you cant say Elder Scrolls dont have a good story. To be honest with you (even I'm a big fan of Dragon age like you) BETHESDA, Elder Scrolls always had a great story,great gameplay, great character customization and the beautiful open world. I think I spent more hours in Oblivion than I spent playing DA put together.
Elders scrolls V: Skyrim is gonna come out soon. Oh yeah, Kingdom of Amalur: the reckoning is another RPG thats gonna be like DA except better combat style. Just saying....

I could not understand the combat so my party kept wiping.
Over map sucked so restricted
RPG elements sucked! every stupid little thing mattered way to much...I kill a party member just cause I couldnt find him a pair of leather boots? Yeah fail
And the story seemed like a really crappy D and D campaign put together by my friends.
Just play Elder Scrolls :)

@LordCHull Open world does not make an RPG, that's just one way of doing an RPG - the Dragon Age games set out to tell a story, the Elder Scrolls games set out to let you make your mark on the world in your own way. They're both RPGs that go about it in different ways and neither's better or worse than the other (although some of the design choices in Oblivion could've done with a bit more thought, but that's a topic for another discussion).

@ShadowFighter15 Open World I think makes a more exiting RPG because it gives you longer gameplay due to more side quests and just screwing around when you are bored. like Red Dead Redemption would let you run around and do what you wanted if you wanted to kill an hour or two but didn't really want to progress in the story. point A- Point B games do make good RPGs but they feel to guided RPG should be more open free choice. they don't have to be clearly but i think it makes them more fun.

@silverdragon147 Yeah, it really depends more on what the developers are better at or feel more comfortable with. Bioware's been doing RPGs like Dragon Age for nigh-on two decades now (or getting close to it - can't remember when Baldur's Gate first came out) and they've always focussed on the story-driven style rather than the freeform so they may as well play to their strengths. At least we've got the choice between freeform and story-driven rather than being forced to play just the one.

@ShadowFighter15 I'm just like the rest of the guys that thumbs you up, though I dont agree about what you said. Elder Scrolls and Dragon age are both great RPG's, but you cant say Elder Scrolls dont have a good story. To be honest with you (even I'm a big fan of Dragon age like you) BETHESDA, Elder Scrolls always had a great story,great gameplay, great character customization and the beautiful open world. I think I spent more hours in Oblivion than I spent playing DA put together.
