Ottoman Empire has become a world empire, every land of that time was listening to them; like they are listening today to United States of America, but the fact is that Ottoman Empire is been a superpower a lot of more period then Usa is. The fall of the empire is like you can see on the video, someone say that UK had won the war on the Turkey part of WO1, that's not true.
@Vorrutyer Listen you nationalist, probably tv looking head, croats never stopped the Turks. The Turks took all of Croatia but the coast (Dalmatia). If it wasnt for the Italians (Venice) the Turks would have taken Dalmatia too. I am sure you have some turk in you
Ok, this is at best highly inaccurate. Why have you started in the 1300 btw? Is seems highly arbitrary to me and doesn't reflect the beginning at all, ie the inner steps of Asia Minor. Secondly. You don't reflect that much of the expansions is vassal states like Serbia, Albania, Wallacia, Trebizond, Morea, etc etc etc. The list just goes on and on. No my friend. You need to do better. There is ALOT missing.
@Muthsera80 the ottoman state was found in 1299 what the fuck are you talking about? the dude made it pretty accurate I can even tell the names of the treaties that ottomans gained or lost land. Trebizond, morea, albania were never vassal states, and serbia bosnia transylvania wallachia etc. were annexed into the kingdom after mid 17th century with centralization movement. Please make your own research before crapping on other people's work.
I'm just saying that the Seljuks of Rum had a long history before that in Anatolia. At least explain a little where it arise from. Secondly. No, you can't tell the names of the treaties. From 1356 to 1451 there are many expansions that are not separated. He hasn't distinguished when a state/territory is under vassalage and when it's annexed. It reflects Thracia, Rhodes and Morea as conquered from 1451, which is inaccurate. I could go on, but you get the point.
@Muthsera80 The video is about Ottoman Empire not just Turks, so it isn't necessary to get down to where it came from, since it is not a continuation of any sort of the Seljuk Sultanate, but rather expansion of a beydom assumed due to intensive decentralization. From 1356 to 1451 the Ottomans conquered many lands for which they didn't make any treaties for, as it was still a clash of religious enemies and race of power, it wasn't formal war. Thracia, Rhodes and Morea were never vassal states.
Ok, fair enough on the first point. I just think it should reflect a transition. But your right. It's about the ottoman empire. There are many treaties from 1356 to 1451. That is nearly a hundred years of events that is conformed into one second. And there are many land changes in that time that is not reflected here. And, I never said Thracia, Rhodes and Morea where vassals. I said they here not part of the empire in 1451. Which they where not.
they say that the ottoman empire collapsed, but did it really?...All those north african countries for example are still muslim and know their turkish roots and respect turkey. they dont respect france or any other european country who tried to trick them.
@Citylife10 the so called 'Libyan Rebels' are all turks u donut. that why they have a moon and a star on their flag, and gaddafis people (the ones with the green flag) are arabs. Gaddafi knows this himself and tried banning turks from both sides from gettin good jobs in libya. so now he's gettin fucked, Turkey's prime minister is personally attacking gaddafi coz he's a racist cunt
@Red91Blood Huh? My friend's family is from Egypt...they don't call themselves Turks...they call themselves Egyptians. I have another family from Sudan. They call themselves Sudanese.
What are you talking about??
If anything, they call themselves ARAB. Especially the Egyptians.
What do you mean 'England is proud of it'? How can a country be proud of something? Unless you mean 'The English' in which case you're stereotyping...
@wimse10 I don't see anything 'funny' about this fact. I find it rather despicable and quite pathetic actually. More than half of the world being deceived and tricked by the British and French Empires just to help them in their evil plan to defeat the 'good.' This may well had been one of the reasons for the cause of WWII. Some countries such as Japan, Italy and Romania had realised that they were fooled and deceived by Britain and France.
I am not very good with english, but what I meant was, even that the enemies of Ottoman Empire had larger armies with much better equiment, and better technology than the turks. It still required so much effort for them to defeat them.
At the same time as the turks were poor and behind technology, they still managed to do an outstanding defence .
@wimse10 I understand now, it was just the way you said the comment. You mentioned 'funny', that was why I challenged you. However, I have to contradict you on what you've said about the Central Powers. According to how much I've studied, the Central Powers purpose to enter WWI was to prevent the British and French Empires. The British Empire with the French was gradually and steadily 'conquering' the world by capturing different lands including: Oceania, North America, parts of Asia..
@wimse10 (continued)..parts of Africa etc.The Central Powers intended to prevent the British and French Empires from invading them. The British and French Empires used cunning maneuvers to succeed in their evil plan. This included deceiving other countries as I said earlier. This is one of the main reasons for WWI to occur. The Central Powers had acceptable qualities including great technology, artillery etc.Central Powers wouda won if it wasnt for British and French dragging othr countries.
In my studies It was the british empiere ( and some others ) who prepared for a big war for several years before WWI, they way the British and French Empire conquered was in large lands at a time.
They devoloped new weapons and new types of ships that could shoot many Km away from shores. New weapons and equipments.
The Tank was also constructed by the British ( but that may be another story )
But what I say is that the British Wanted to have a war, so they could conquer.
TURKEYS xD your end is on the way!

We lost 70% of the population and most our territory in a 100 years long war to stop the Ottoman empire to take the Europe.

And world war l was 1914-1918.
Turkish indepence war 1919-1922.

@wimse10 You are right, and the sadest part is that Saudi-Arabians betrayed the Ottomans.
ProudMuslim567 3 months ago
@ProudMuslim567
England cheated the Arabians to attack the turks by saying they changed religion and so on.
A man called Lawrence , got support from many arabians, and then they attacked the Ottoman Empire.
later the arabians realised they were lied by the english.
England is proud of it, still today.

Well. If we won the war why did we loose Iraq, Palestine, Mecca and medina.
I am Turkish.
In WWl we did a everything we could to protect the empire, and we did it Very well.
But in the end we lost. Ottoman Empire was the country who had the largest causalties.
There were so few soldiers left, that even young turks from the universities and highschool joined the army ( age from 16 - 20 ).
