Lions were not hungry, and the lizard is no threat or competitor. Makes sense they wouldnt want to get a nasty bite over such meagre pickings

dont thumbs down him, he's right...the bacteria in the lizards mouth would cause infection in the lions leg or where he/she bit it and kill the lion or it would starve

@antichatboot0 you have a point but although most monitor lizards have venom including nile and savanah monitors it can be hardly considered lethal to a small animal.The bite itself of course is an uncommonly painfull expiience which almost every animal whould try to avoid.And for those who still think that lions are the top rulers of the grassland you should be informed that in truth they are quit cowrdly when confronted whith something new that does not try rubn away from them but fights back

These are fully grown lions from the Marsh Pride that just killed a zebra. I love to read lion lovers excuses, it really amuses me.
