While English is a very evolved language, a lot is often lost in Japanese to English translation due to personal interpretation and the resultant blunted meanings(not to mention the sheer difference between the languages). @Disterric23 vocaloid works like every other music programme. you buy the programme, that has pre-installed instruments, such as guitar, drums, piano, etc. and a keyboard, that you attach to the computer. Using that, you have 2 ways of creating instumentals, using either the sounds the programme gives you, or the sounds the keybaord has. The voice also works that way. You match the syllable to a note and it 'sings' it. All you need is the keyboard and the programme. no other stuff is needed.
