I remember I was waiting in the line for this, but it broke down and they had to have everyone leave, so we decided to go on the tomorrowland transit authority people mover, and we got to see Space Mountain with all the lights on and it was so cool!!! Lol!

In 2007 i was on this moneral type ride and it goes in space moutian, and the lights were on!

We then got our camera and went back on the ride, but space mountian was fixed so we didn't get i caught on film...

but then later that night we were in line for the roller coaster, and we waited for 4 hours cuz it broke... AGAIN!

I'm glad you took it so well. Some people freak out when their Disney experience is ruined. It probably broke down due to a sensor violation. Sometimes this happens just randomly, like when a person drops something into a laser sensor or there is a low pressure violation or too much vibration. They are so safe with a lot of sensors, but they have false alarms A LOT.

The sheer complexity of the engineering is staggering to say the least. I wouldn't recommend the ride for anyone over 6 feet tall because of how tight the spacing is. And certainly no "hands over head" on that one unless you want your new nick-name to be "hooks"...

We got stuck once, like this and ended up just sitting around awhile. Finally a CM came around to us and one of the guys in the back of our car, trying to be funny, asked the CM "what are you gonna do, push us the rest of the way?" ...And the CM gave him a funny look, worked with the car for a second and gave it a big push and we sailed the rest of the way back around. It was really humorous...more because the guy was trying to be funny and ended up just looking like an idiot. Haha

That really sucks out the fun because they put the lights on which reveals the ride's structure and the "stars" that were lights. I feel really bad you got stuck in the ride. Especially since you were like really high.

My friend and I got right to the front of the line on Pinocchio in Disneyland and then the ride broke down right when we got up there. LOL

I got back from disney a couple days ago and space mountain broke down and so when we came up we saw it we were like there goes all that time cause we had a fast pass and so then right when we turned around it opened back up! We dicided to go in the normal lane instead of the fast pass lane and it was awesome!!! no waiting!!! so when we got off the ride we went in the fastpass lane!!! and still no waiting!! it was the best!
