  • Best Teacher on the subject of Dogs.

Thanks for the knowledge Zak. =)

  • I can't wait to try this with my pit bull! Thanks, you are my dog training hero

  • I am sorry you talk to much rather than show the way to do things, please just show me.

  • Thank you for this awesome advice! Im planning on getting a American Eskimo... Keep making videos! There awesome and the best!

  • I have a question: I still go to university now but I love Border Collies and would love to have one later. But I assume I would be working full time in the future. Is it still possible to raise a Border Collie while working full time? I would think of walking about 30-60 minutes in the morning and about 2 hours in the evening. And I know they should be exercised mentally and physically. I love dogs, so I have enough devotion, but would it be enough time to spend with them?

  • Wow, how pathetic..

  • @bestdogtrainer2 what your life?

  • @IAoKIGonzo Yes your life and your amateur ways..hehe

  • @bestdogtrainer2 go kill yourself loser. get a life instead of sitting in your mothers basement talking shit on youtube videos. I checked your channel to see you dog training videos since you claim to be the second best dog trainer, to my surprise you have none. Which in turn makes you a over weight virgin who lives a fantasy life on the internet. Your father shouldve used a condom.

  • If you can make your dog to do backflips, then I'll believe that you can teach your dogs anything :D

  • Alpha Centauri is my favorite of Zak's dogs :)

  • @MsZoraZ The more videos I watch, the more I start loving his dogs too... But I gotta say, the personality of Nova just makes me laugh every time. :) But they're all sweeties.

  • @Marxism5 I like Nova, but he seems a bit pushy at times...Alpha is more mellow and easy to please, it seems.

But they are all so lovable! The voice-overs match perfectly :)

  • I'm wondering, Zak, did you ever have any complaint from your neighbour because of your dogs? Like their sounds or odour, for example. And how did you solve it?

Please help, cuz I'm at lost for the odour part. I've tried to clean my dogs' poo and pee every times, but the smells seems won't came off. I'm worried if I use chemical cuz its toxic, do you have any suggestion?

  • @co5nut I would recommend taking them to a dog groomer. The good ones will often give you good tips on how to keep them clean, fresh and pretty when you can't take them somewhere to get cleaned.

  • Timing is everything! Once again I comment & refer to Pavlov.

  • Who let the dogs out?! Oh wait now I know!

  • What type of frisbees are you using? Please answer.

    Thanks,

    Zachary

  • @ZacharyBrunoMusic Zak gets his frisbees from dtworld.com. You can use the coupon code "Zak" for a discount.

  • I love my high energy working Springer Spaniels, in the gundog world it's steadyness and retrieves. we've just purchased two discs to give that a whirl as I like to give them lots of different skills and hobbies :)

keep up the good videos @zakgeorge21

  • You've trained a border collie- one of the most intellegent breeds! Haha, lets see you train a bull dog and show me the same results! lol

  • Hi,3 months ago i got a border collie and his name is ikker, I found out that hes very dominant and kinda "angry" (i dont know the word in english) so hes not a easy dog to train, I love him and I feel very frustated because hes not easy to work with. Hes at the age of chewing everything, so sometimes he takes some of my stuff like socks and clothes so everytime i try to take them away from him he growls me and today he tried to bite me.Im so frustrated please help me

  • Love some tips someday on LOW energy dogs... how do I get a fat lazy bum to get up and RUN? hah...

  • I would love to have a park like that to play with my dog! But it is forbiden here to walk without a leash and people are so scared that it is very complicated. Worse if my dog jumps on them!

  • @MestreJonas2000 It might help to get a Canine Good Citizen Certification for your dog and introduce your dog to those in charge of enforcing those rules. May not change anything, but still worth it.

  • @Keiko8383 Canine Good Citizen Certification?! where do I get this in Brazil?

  • @MestreJonas2000 Shoot...that may not be possible. The Canine Good Citizen Program is part of the AKC (American Kennel Club). Even if you were able to get your dog certified, the meaning may not be honored by your local law-enforcement. You'd have to check and see if there's anything similar in your country. I have no idea what's available in Brazil, sorry. :(

  • TheTooawesome1: you teach leave it and use get it as an alternitive, he has a video on leave it look it up :)

  • I have a question...How do u teach your dog to get it? He stays but when i say get it he still stays.

  • Lol...do more voice overs like that!

  • Thanks! Very good video.

  • So that was a video for proofing stay?

  • can smaller dogs do frisbee sports? i wanna teach my jack russel to do the superstar and other stuff like that..

  • What camera do you use on this video?

  • This makes so much sense... I've mainly been using half of my dog's dinner as his training reward, but if I can use his Frisbee/ball/tug as well that makes SO MUCH SENSE. Thanks, Zak. This is one of my favourite videos so far.

  • Awesome video . Alpha is soo cute .

  • how long can u do that lie down-get up part? xD pls pls take a video where he does that for like 5 minutes he's just too adorable. love u and your dogs ^^

  • Great intro, editing and that all-important: common sense! Thanks!

  • Good editing :D

  • To teach stay for a puppy, use a long leash and back away further. Reward. Back further. Reward. And so on. Pick a release command like "OK!" or "yes!" And stick with it.

  • Very good information !

  • Thanks this was a much needed video for me and I agree you should write a book.

  • Love your videos, can I ask what breed of dog is the brown one that was in the video for only a second or two here and there?

  • @zakgeorge21 So which dog would you recommend for a first time dog owner (I have done over half a year of research on training and care of dogs)? Belgian Malinois, Australian Shepherd, Border Collie or German Shepherd (All working lines). Thanks.

  • @ChocBlurr

Get a mix. You can usually find purebred border collies and collie or shepherd mixes at the local SPCA or rescue org. My dog is a Border Collie, Shepherd husky mix. He is very smart and well mannered.

  • @ChocBlurr

    ps,

Mixes tend to have less health problems, though this is just a generalization.

  • loved it ! alpha is so sweet and adorable =)

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAA AT THE ALPHA VOICE OVER

  • what I like to do sometimes when I am reinforcing commands is I tell him stay, throw the toy, make him look at me, wait a little, and then the reward is him fetching the toy. I have a Golden Retriever, they love to fetch ummm I really don't have a park where I can practice with him so instead of frisbees, which I love" I use balls, which he loves :)

  • You should write a book

  • @IloveIbanez thats what i was thinking.

  • @IloveIbanez I would buy it.

  • That is very instructive Thanks Zak

  • Great video! Thanks for sharing Zak. It's amazing how much your relationship with your dog can grow through play. My high-energy dog will learn new behaviors with treats and praise, but I just don't seem to get the same amount of relationship building as I do when I add play and training together.

  • Alpha voice over! -3...great tips!

  • Loved the voice over bit. I am attempting the use play most of the time as a reward for my mastiff. Your videos have helped with that a lot, thanks =)

  • How would one train their dog to stay with them/play outside without a fence or a leash?

  • lie down, get up, lie down, get up, BEEGG...... HAHAHAHA!

  • I appreciate the emails and the advice, these have really helped me communicate with my dog

  • Great video Zak! :) I'm in africa right now so I'm taking time to watch some of your newer videos to see how I can improve my dog and myself as a master. Thanks for this video and it'll definitely be something we work on when I get home! :)

  • this is perfect for my shepherd collie mix, he is hyper and a half...

  • Hahahaha the voice over part for Alpha had me cracking up!

  • 2st

  • nice intro!!!
