You'll find such techniques are used in Souten no Ken prequel.

It explains later in another remake that Kenshiro eventually reaches the strength Toki would have had had Toki not gotten sick, meaning.... Kenshiro became pretty damn powerful, too much for Raoh to handle.

Nah, Raoh crippled himself by not killing Yuria and thus his Musō Tensei was not as strong as it shoulda been plus he gave part of his life to Yuria making himself even weaker. Ken even tells Kaioh that Kaioh could not beat Raoh. Toki sacraficed himself to save those children even if the new movies rob him of this honor and its meaning by saying he was already sick before that. Ken was good but not Toki good, they just justified him being uber later by introducting the main Hokuto family crap.

How did he give his life to her from 30 feet away?! Watch the original show, episode 108, 11:30, the old general explains that, "Perhaps Raoh pressed Lady Yuria's pressure point, which temporarily renders a person in a coma, while delaying the effects of the illness. Killing Lady Yuria would have made Raoh's Musou Tensei perfect. Sadness and Lady Yuria's Love, have instead made Raoh's Musou Tensei weak." Thus he weakened himself!

Kenshiro defeated Raoh because his Musou Tensei was powered by the friends he had fought with and against. Raoh even says as much, and then adds that his only friend was Toki.

His giving Yuria life-force has nothing to do with it. Yuria even corrects Kenshiro when he makes this same assumption.

Thats incorrect, Yuria was speaking metaphorically about Raoh secretly accepting defeat to Kenshiro's view on a peaceful world as opposed to his world controlled by fear NOT on the fact that the life transfer itself weaken Raoh. Kenshiro is a master of Hokuto no Ken not Yuria, and if he point blank says that he "could have lost if Raoh did not give some of his power to Yuria" I belive him.

You're misunderstood. Raoh states the very reason why he lost to Kenshiro - "You lived all this time on the edge of death, which you learned from the great fights with your friends." In other words that made the difference between Kenshiro's Musou Tensei and Raoh's.

Musou Tensei is powered by sadness. Raoh denied himself true sadness, his Musou Tensei was incomplete because he failed to kill the woman he loved (Yuria). Had he killed Yuria, his technique would have been perfect, but his sympathy for her condition ultimately (when added to the lost of power gifted to Yuria) made him inferior to Kenshiro. The two were equal fighters (as per their first duel when Raoh wounded Rei), but because of these things Raoh made it a less then even fight.

Ah then we are in agreement. I thought you were arguing the common misconception that Raoh was weakened because he used his power to extend Yuria's life - when the truth is he failure to kill her bereft him of the sadness required to overcome Kenshiro.

It is true that Kenshiro says that in the tv anime.But in the source material (in the manga) he doesn't.The tv producers must have found out about Raoh's popularity and decided to place that line there to explain his defeat at the hands of his little brother.And that line comes in contradiction with everything that was known about Hokuto Shin Ken:when striking a pressure point you don't give your opponent your life energy (ki); because that's what Raoh did: he pressed Yuria's neck point.

Raoh pressed Yuria's neck pressure point the same way that Toki pressed Rei's back point (Hiko Shin Rei Dai) and granted him a half of day extra to live. Did Toki gave Rei any of his spirit to prolong his life after he hit that point? No he did not.
