  • so amazing

  • Telepresense will be simpler and cheaper.. at one point the room will be obsolete.

  • Just wanted to show off some of the other TelePresence Systems out there.

One thing that the Cisco Systems do not offer is "True eye to eye contact "

TelePresence Tech Offers systems that have a sense of 3D presence and has a patented Eye Contact Solution.

You can view us on the web at telepresencetech com

Also Grahamh68 I can do 1080p@30fps Full HD at about 2MBs on any other system.

  • Guys, remember this is 4 years old...

  • Thats the future

  • "the technology before you has been my life for the past 2 years"

    followed byy HAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.

    funny joke i guess?

  • A youtube video of course doesn't do it justice.

Each 65" screen is full HD, 1080p@30fps - it's a very natural experience.

As for network bandwidth, at full resolution each screen/camera is using about 5-5.5Mbps which is pretty amazing for Full HD!

  • sooo... they spend all this money for fancy tvs and a webcam...seems like a waste

  • looks like tv?

  • After using it just twice, it gets tiresome. Just give me a simple phone, it's more personal and I can be more persuasive than sitting in that uncomfortable room. The system is too expensive and hard to use.

  • Cisco telepresence requires 15mb per video screen.

  • amazing technology.

    cisco is innovative

  • I had the opportunity of being at a telepresence demo presentation at Cisco last summer. Although the cost is high, it's an amazing solution.

  • I thought that "telepresence" was holographic? This looks more like "television"...

  • How much bandwith does it need!!!!!????

  • over about 6 mpbs for 3 screens..

  • around 10

  • remarkable really i have been the fan of cisco .

  • that is awesome

even though I knew of Ciscos Telepresence

it still took me a moment to clue in that the 4 were on screens

  • COOL.

  • system specs please?

  • system specs please?

  • WOW!!YOU MADE A GIANT WEBCAM!!!!

  • iphone is not, in esence, very different from Apple Newton PDA. The "much sofisticated way" may be the key here. There are many "good ideas", that simply don't take off, because their implementation falls short of actually solvoing a problem..

  • Cisco is really leading the industry - the world - in communication. It is amazing to see what they are doing. I have experienced telepresence, and it is truly amazing - like being there in person. I can't wait until they have a consumer version so that I can be closely in touch with my family in friends 3000 miles away!

  • I think this is fail technology , It is nothing more than a video conferencing in much more sophisticated way.

  • Ones you've been in such a meeting room you will think different. It's a great! 10 times better then expected!

  • This is not a simple video conference. The resolution is great, and there is no noticable latency. It truly is remarkable.

  • Smiddog obviously hasn't seen everything that is out there. "Telepresence" has been around for decades. Cisco has just decided to market the heck out of it.

  • finally it shows what telepresence is all about .. more like .. round-table video conference ..

  • That is so freaking cool!

  • I've just attended a few of Cisco Unified communications workshop/ design days. I've been a network engineer for about 11 years, and all I can say is...WOW. Cisco is definitely on their game, way ahead of the curve.

  • amazing!!!
