I understand you want to "raise the bar" according to your comment according to reality TV, however the garfield clips are not using people all the time, thus it is difficult to simulate reality. Garfield as a comic tends to bend reality as well so its unfair to ask for more realism. I understand your point, however this detail in minor. Also it may ruin the suits image to have a hole in it just for one scene...

Well it's just that with Garfield, the authors of this piece should go to great lengths to add realism. For instance, in this scene they could have used trick photography. I would recommend that they show the full coffee cup (with steam), THEN they could pause the film, empty the cup, and then pretend to slurp it down. The way they did it seemed contrived and lazy.
