@EternallyFunnyGuy Happy New Year. It warms my heart to know that there are lovely people like you out there. This film is a perpetual reminder of the power of love, family and friends. When you have that everything else is just stuff.
This movie has literally saved my life on more than one occasion. It's the reason I consider it the greatest film ever made. No film, no matter how good or how powerful has had the effect on me that this movie has, and I doubt any other film will be able to match it.
"MERRY CHRISTMAS...MERRY CHRISTMAS MOVIE HOUSE...MERRY CHRISTMAS EMPORIUM...MERRY CHRISTMAS YOU WONDERFUL....MERRY CHRISTMAS MR POTTER" has got to be one of the greatest lines in cinematic history. And one of the best scenes to. I just find it so emotional when George is crying on that bridge and then screams out in faith. I myself am an atheist but this movie can bring out the faith in all of us.
I am a boy, I am Jewish and every year I watch this on December 25 hold back tears in front of my family, go to my room and close my door, watch this and have a good old laugh while tears stream down my face
This is one of three movies (Jurassic Park and Super 8 being the other two) that actually brought me to tears and you can call me a pussy or a wimp or a girl, I think being able to cry is the true measure of a man so Happy Holidays and remember every life has a purpose!
Just finished watching this, it doesn't feel like Christmas if I don't watch this movie on Christmas eve. Merry Christmas and ... MY MOUTH'S BLEEDING BURT! MY MOUTH'S BLEEDING!
My dad always used to point out that when George prays to Clarence nothing happens, but the instant he prays to God, it starts snowing...
that part makes me cry, as well as the part when Harry says "To my big brother George, the richest man in town." What a classic. Watch it every Christmas :)
I can not believe this flopped at the Box Office. It is one of the best movies of all time. It was made forty four years before I was born and it is still one of my favorites. My friends make fun of me for liking this film so much, but it is truly incredible. It moves me every single time I watch it. If you have never seen it, watch it today. Amazing! simply AMAZING!!!
@joshua59771 It was made almost fifty years before I was born and I love it too. Sadly, a lot of people in my generation don't have the interest or patience for classic movies like this. A bunch of people think it's boring...

I love this movie, especially the ending. However, I wish the person who posted this would've posted it in it's entirety. The part where everyone floods into the house & throws money on the table is not here. Everyone's comments about George always helping them, not there. That is my favorite part of the whole movie & it's not here! Why?? Otherwise though, thanks for posting. I LOVE this movie! Merry Christmas!
This makes me cry every time I see it! Every life is important, even when you feel like you're insignificant and don't matter...your absence would matter and many lives would be affected by your loss.
What makes this movie so wonderful, is that it reminds us that everyone of us, how insignificant we may feel at times, has a profound effect on those around us. Further, it shows that true wealth is not measured monetarily, but by the richness of one's charecter.
this movies point is flawed, He was the pillar of the community, bare in mind that when you die, no one will miss you, and you probably changed nothing during your insignificant pathetic life.
There's a cafe in Seneca Falls,NY that's called "Zuzu Cafe" and it's visited every Christmas by Karolyn Grimes who played "Zuzu." She comes in and visits with people and signs autographs. I will visit this place this December.

I had the privledge to know Todd Karns (Harry Bailey). His yougest daughter (Julie) was my best friend in the early 70's. He was a wonderful and fun father and man. I'll always have this great memory of him. Watching him in this movie every year gives me such joy and my tears mean more than most. Thank you Mr. Karns...I'll never forget you.
As a proud stone- cold cynic and a Jew to boot (and thus not one for Christmas movies), I have to admit that the ending to Its A Wonderful Life makes me cry uncontrollably every. single. time. Damn you, Capra.
It's probably (one of) the best film ever and I hope wholeheartedly that those 7 people actually love it but made a mistake and are sorry for what they've done.
I live in France and in philosophy class, we watched this movie to illustrate the concept of happiness. Before "It's a Wonderful Life", I thought it was impossible to be so deeply upset by a film.

I saw this movie in the 60's on BBC 2's Saturday Matinee when I were 9 years old. I said to myself I will never see a better film in my life - ever and I haven't.
I love this movie. In highschool everyone see's how there lives suck and many of people consider sucicide :(. The people who consider that dont realize THEY HAVE FREINDS. Most people could say they knew some one who considered or considered it. The quote at the end is just wonderful and i would love to share this video to all my friends

One of my favorites. Bit of perspective. James Stewart made this film after he returned from serving in the military during WWII. He was a B24 bomber pilot & served on numerous dangerous missions deep into Germany. He received numerous medals/decorations for his bravery during the war. After the war he was in the Reserves & retired with the rank of Brigadier General. So when you see the "tough guy" actors, here was the real deal, a true American hero. He never flaunted it. A "Wonderful" man.
I really love this movie and this ending, such a timeless classic that shows the worth of a single human life.
One of my favorite scenes which makes me laugh no matter how many times I see it, is how he kisses the lose knob on the banister as he goes up the stairs.
Just saw it on christmas eve last night, and I absolutely loved it, it's amazing how timeless it remain, and the ending made me cry. no wonder this movie became a christmas tv tradition

I really love this movie and this ending, such a timeless classic that shows the worth of a single human life.
One of my favorite scenes which makes me laugh no matter how many times I see it, is how he kisses the lose knob on the banister as he goes up the stairs.
