  • Only 342 more days til I get to see this on TV again :D

  • Hell I saw this only 2 weeks ago, give or take a few days.

  • I cry every time. lmao

  • @EternallyFunnyGuy Happy New Year. It warms my heart to know that there are lovely people like you out there. This film is a perpetual reminder of the power of love, family and friends. When you have that everything else is just stuff.

  • This movie has literally saved my life on more than one occasion. It's the reason I consider it the greatest film ever made. No film, no matter how good or how powerful has had the effect on me that this movie has, and I doubt any other film will be able to match it.

  • the song is old lang syne

  • 05:14 what's the name of this song? please!!!!

  • @adamdyerseve old lang syne

  • "MERRY CHRISTMAS...MERRY CHRISTMAS MOVIE HOUSE...MERRY CHRISTMAS EMPORIUM...MERRY CHRISTMAS YOU WONDERFUL....MERRY CHRISTMAS MR POTTER" has got to be one of the greatest lines in cinematic history. And one of the best scenes to. I just find it so emotional when George is crying on that bridge and then screams out in faith. I myself am an atheist but this movie can bring out the faith in all of us.

  • Cry.... 5:29

  • classic :)

  • Just watched it at Christmas evening with my friends. Such a wonderful movie. Merry Christmas everyone.

  • i get goodbumps and cry every single time. this is truly a masterpiece.

  • "Dear George,

Remember no man is a failure who has friends.

    Thanks for the wings!

    Love,

    Clarence"

gets me every time... love it

  • I am a boy, I am Jewish and every year I watch this on December 25 hold back tears in front of my family, go to my room and close my door, watch this and have a good old laugh while tears stream down my face

This is one of three movies (Jurassic Park and Super 8 being the other two) that actually brought me to tears and you can call me a pussy or a wimp or a girl, I think being able to cry is the true measure of a man so Happy Holidays and remember every life has a purpose!

  • @12345678weeds I can understand you crying at this-but Jurassic park? Which part? It's a good film but it's not sad.

  • Get the "Wonderful Life" iPhone App to play quotes from the movie

  • this and the 1951 version of a christmas carol. cant be christmas without them

  • I feel like living in the nightmare version of town these days

  • If George Bailey were real and alive today, he'd Occupy.

  • Ι watched it last evening (Christmas eve) for the first time in my life.

What a movie! And it didn't win even one Oscar!

    A real masterpiece!

  • Just finished watching this, it doesn't feel like Christmas if I don't watch this movie on Christmas eve. Merry Christmas and ... MY MOUTH'S BLEEDING BURT! MY MOUTH'S BLEEDING!

  • I'm okay throughout the enitire move until Harry says "A toast to my big brother George: The richest man in town." Then I bawl like a little girl.

  • My favorite part is probably "Merry Christmas, Mr. Potter!"

  • "A toast....to my big brother, George, the richest man in town!" I cry every time.

MERRY CHRISTMAS WE ALL HAVE A WONDERFUL LIFE!!!!!!!

  • I never do this kind of things, but, thumbs up if you are watching this in christmas :D

  • "YEA!!!" "YEA!!!"

  • My dad always used to point out that when George prays to Clarence nothing happens, but the instant he prays to God, it starts snowing...

that part makes me cry, as well as the part when Harry says "To my big brother George, the richest man in town." What a classic. Watch it every Christmas :)

  • How could anyone dislike this? We have 11 grinches. Merry Christmas everyone! :)

  • Merry Christmas!!!!

  • Its amazing how one person can change so many people where all in this world for a reason.

  • Merry Christmas, y'all.

  • Get the "Wonderful Life" iPhone App

  • I have to hug something or someone afterwards, and I'm still a pile of blubbering mush.

  • @TheTraumarama2 Your comment made me smile. I love this movie too.

  • the most wondeful film - always reduces me to a pile of tears....

  • yeah tried to watch this at a movie night at my friend's house last night...gave up halfway and put home alone on instead XP

  • 1946: This movie is a big flop in the box office.

IF it is shown in theaters today, it would be one of the higher grossing films in the month of December. Thumbs up if you agree.

  • @uncensorer it was not a flog it got nominated for oscars I think it got beat by gone with the wind it was a massive hit

  • can't watch this with dry eyes

  • I lose it as soon as Harry toasts..

  • I lose it when it starts snowing again.

  • This is the best Christmas movie ever! It has become a tradition with my family!

  • I can not believe this flopped at the Box Office. It is one of the best movies of all time. It was made forty four years before I was born and it is still one of my favorites. My friends make fun of me for liking this film so much, but it is truly incredible. It moves me every single time I watch it. If you have never seen it, watch it today. Amazing! simply AMAZING!!!

  • @joshua59771 It was made almost fifty years before I was born and I love it too. Sadly, a lot of people in my generation don't have the interest or patience for classic movies like this. A bunch of people think it's boring...

  • "To my big brother George, the richest man in town!" - gets me EVERY TIME. EVERY. TIME.

  • No matter what you do, you will never be as happy as George Bailey seeing his car in pieces.

  • I love this part! God Bless! Merry Christmas and

Peace... The Sharbohemia (Sharon) ·٠•●♥ Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ

  • I just saw this play

  • I watched this movie tonight at a local theater. The ending never fails to make me cry and give me goosebumps. A great holiday classic.

  • I always wondered if Jim Henson got the names ' Bert and Ernie ' from this movie?

  • @Longhammer37214 Yes, actually. He did.

  • I watch this every Christmas.

  • Best...Happy....Ending.....EVER!!!

  • Merry Christmas youtube!

    Merry Christmas Votebeggers!

Merry Christmas vloggers talking to no on at all!!!

    Merry CHRISSSSTMAAAASSSS!!!

  • the moral of this movie is that if you threaten to kill yourself @ christmastime everyone in town will give you money. Hee haw & merry christmas bitchez.

  • This scene, and an animated short of this last scene is what inspired me to write the fan fiction book: The Last Temptation of Clarence Odbody.

  • Love love love this movie I tears up everytime at the bridge when george asks to live again

  • I love this movie, especially the ending. However, I wish the person who posted this would've posted it in it's entirety. The part where everyone floods into the house & throws money on the table is not here. Everyone's comments about George always helping them, not there. That is my favorite part of the whole movie & it's not here! Why?? Otherwise though, thanks for posting. I LOVE this movie! Merry Christmas!

  • A wingless angel finally earns his wings! XD

  • This makes me cry every time I see it! Every life is important, even when you feel like you're insignificant and don't matter...your absence would matter and many lives would be affected by your loss.

  • Im named after the little girl Zuzu :))))

  • I can't wait for Christmas next month!

  • I'm 18 and i love this movie. This shows that it doesnt mater how old a movie is but how good it is

  • I always have tears and chills during the scene where everyone comes into help and Harry makes his toast... dang what a great scene

  • Best way to show that someone matters is to show how screwed up the world would be if they weren't born

  • When George's brother Harry says, "To my big brother George, the richest man in town..."

Tears and chills... It restores your faith in humanity. Thank you, Mr. Capra. :)

  • What makes this movie so wonderful, is that it reminds us that everyone of us, how insignificant we may feel at times, has a profound effect on those around us. Further, it shows that true wealth is not measured monetarily, but by the richness of one's charecter.

  • crying right now watching this, i used to always watch this with my dad right untill he died so its alot of memories for me

  • Just watched this movie again.

Yep, the ending never fails to make me cry :')

  • Lol seems like everybody cries when they watch this movie and titanic

    Guess I don't have emotions

  • how in gods name can anyone not like this movie? im crying just from this five minute clip

  • this movies point is flawed, He was the pillar of the community, bare in mind that when you die, no one will miss you, and you probably changed nothing during your insignificant pathetic life.

  • @redman8903 Obviously you are looking in the mirror when you are speaking of "you."

  • and then john married christmas

  • 10 people will never get their wings.

  • the 10 people have the right to their opinion.

but I feel sorry for them.

  • More than any other movie ever has or ever will, this movie brings the most beautiful kind of tears to my eyes; the tears of unbridled happiness.

  • I love this scene!! it's personally heart warming. :))

  • @029Mhelz Agreed!

  • Mr. Potter watched this 10 times.

  • Possibly one of the greatest films ever. (And greatest Christmas film, too!)

  • What a difference one life can make.

  • This is the most touching Christmas movie of all time. When I feel like crying happy tears, I watch this.

However, when I feel like laughing until I cry, I watch a Christmas Story.

  • Dedicated to the song Boots by the killers <3

  • Amazing Movie, Doesn't feel like Christmas without it!

    I love James Stewart.

  • There's a cafe in Seneca Falls,NY that's called "Zuzu Cafe" and it's visited every Christmas by Karolyn Grimes who played "Zuzu." She comes in and visits with people and signs autographs. I will visit this place this December.

  • O_o. An honest banker that "misplaced" money that brought about his downfall. Yeah, haven't heard that one before.

  • i always cry at George's facial expression when Harry says he is the richest man in town..

i adore this movie. gets me everytime i watch it lol

  • That Police officers acting is so wooden you can make a canoe out of him.

  • @FamousMovieScenes are you saying it's good or bad?

  • I had the privledge to know Todd Karns (Harry Bailey). His yougest daughter (Julie) was my best friend in the early 70's. He was a wonderful and fun father and man. I'll always have this great memory of him. Watching him in this movie every year gives me such joy and my tears mean more than most. Thank you Mr. Karns...I'll never forget you.

  • As a proud stone- cold cynic and a Jew to boot (and thus not one for Christmas movies), I have to admit that the ending to Its A Wonderful Life makes me cry uncontrollably every. single. time. Damn you, Capra.

  • this movie is my favorite movie of all time. its amazing. this ending never fails to make me cry like a baby.

    its a wonderful life <3

  • It's probably (one of) the best film ever and I hope wholeheartedly that those 7 people actually love it but made a mistake and are sorry for what they've done.

I live in France and in philosophy class, we watched this movie to illustrate the concept of happiness. Before "It's a Wonderful Life", I thought it was impossible to be so deeply upset by a film.

    Sorry for my bad English.

  • Forever alone guy just shot himself when he saw the final worlds.

  • how can anyone not start smiling at this?:)

George is btw a complete upside-down version of Charles Foster Kane.

  • Why did you edit it? I hate scenes that are edited.

  • This is quite simply the best movie ever made. It is Capra's darkest movie, it is Jimmy Stewart's darkest movie (other than his Hitchcock films). There never has been nor will there be, a movie that can bring me to tears without fail like this one does. THIS IS THE BEST MOVIE EVER!

  • I saw this movie in the 60's on BBC 2's Saturday Matinee when I were 9 years old. I said to myself I will never see a better film in my life - ever and I haven't.

  • I love this movie. In highschool everyone see's how there lives suck and many of people consider sucicide :(. The people who consider that dont realize THEY HAVE FREINDS. Most people could say they knew some one who considered or considered it. The quote at the end is just wonderful and i would love to share this video to all my friends

  • I don't really consider this a Christmas movie. Frank Cappra just had it end on Christmas to increase the charm of the wonderful ending.

It's one of my Top 10 Favorite movies of all-time.

  • LOVE IT

  • The only movies that make me cry, are the happy ones.

  • When his mouth starts bleeding, my eyes starts getting wet...

  • WOW! I CRY MY EYES OUT EVERYTIME... The best line of all time.. "To MY BIG BROTHER GEORGE, THE RICHEST MAN IN TOWN"

and what a line that shows REDEMPTION and that God (IF YOU LET HIM) can work a miracle in your life...

WOW! CANT SAY ENOUGH HOW MUCH THAT MEANS TO ME!

  • Search for "Wonderful Life" on the iPhone App store. Download the top-rated App to play sounds from the movie.

  • Oh oh, let me try one! 7 people are mister poppers employees.

  • una pelicula maravillosa....................

  • The voices in german are much better!

Just one of the best movies!

  • One of my favorites. Bit of perspective. James Stewart made this film after he returned from serving in the military during WWII. He was a B24 bomber pilot & served on numerous dangerous missions deep into Germany. He received numerous medals/decorations for his bravery during the war. After the war he was in the Reserves & retired with the rank of Brigadier General. So when you see the "tough guy" actors, here was the real deal, a true American hero. He never flaunted it. A "Wonderful" man.
