@ludoraper I believe it had a whole lot to deal with dissenting concepts to people. I think what happened here is that the joke they were making out it to be, people began to think. Maybe they didn't want people to think too much of what really could be going on in labs. Since MK Ultra, if only people could imagine what else is being conducted. Games like Resident Evil poked ridicule of such thought; Kyle XY made it seem convincing. Also, the series gave subliminal message of the "truth."
