This is the worst camera I have ever encountered, I bought it a year ago, and I barely decided to use it today, I try to turn it on and nothing happens, I contacted their support and they will do nothing about it since it's out of warranty, it's ridiculous how I have never used this product and it does not work.

Yes, I have both cameras on 720p with the lighing similar I have just been playing around with them both, but the Flip Ultra HD is the best one :) You should also try a Kodak Z18 they are also very good :)

aznpandafood I want to reply to your reply to my post. They were great and sent a new one back. They do have great customer service. I did sell it though. I think the internal mic is great and the picture quality is super, but I got the Kodak Zi8 mainly because I can add a mic to it. Not super hi end but I really like that option. I love the flip too. I actual would like to have one of each, Kodak Zi8 and a flip mino hd Great mic! The zi8 just has a few more options.

It depends. First I would like to say that hands down, the quality is way up there and for a very affordable price. Now it depends, if you just want a camcorder for random here and there videos, maybe get the Ultra. If you actually do something with your videos such as share them on YT or use videos to make movies, maybe invest in a Mino.

There are two models made. One is a Flip Mino and a Flip Mino HD. One does not shoot HD quality while the other does shoot HD quality. Since yours does not say HD, your Mino does not shoot HD quality. But being a Flip Mino, it should be slightly improved in all aspects versus a Flip Ultra.

The only way I am aware of is to point the camcorder at the screen the Xbox is playing on and record. If you want literal recording of the screen, I believe there may be a video capture car you can buy (totally unrelated to the Flip).

Like Albert said, once you stick the Mino into your computer, it opens it just like a memory stick. Just drag and drop the video from yoru Mino to your computer (I personally wouldn't want to leave the camcorder plugged in while editing) and edit the video like any other video.

Not to disrespect your father but I have been a proud user of a Dlip camcorder and I tell you, it is well worth your money. As to your question, to the best of my knowledge, the Flip Mino comes with a 60 min. internal memory to record, but the Flip Mino HD comes in a 60 min. and a 120 min. record time.

Both claim to record HD quality. Just keep in mind that the Mino model is a more recent model then the Ultra, and with all new things, there is a good chance there were some improvements. Besides that, the Flip Ultra will be slightly bigger (and weight slightly heavier) then the Mino while the Mino is smaller and lighter.

While it does not actually have a camera feature, it has built in software where when its connected, you can isolate any part of a video you have taken and create an image from the selected time slot and save that image as a picture.

I have not payed much focus to the focus but (owning only a Flip Ultra 1st Gen), there were never any remarkable problems with focus, or something enough for me to remmeber. So I believe that if my model has no problem, neither should this improved model. Just don't asume though that it has some sort of macro feature like a camera.

Yes. When you plug in your Flip Mino into your computer, your computer reconizes your Flip Mino as a simple "memory stick" if you were to put it. All you do is simply place your videos from your Flip onto your computer (not required), and open up your WMM and select your video like any other.

I highly reocmmend this Flip, or any Flip, product. Although I personally do not know, I think Flip started the portable camcorder craze. Although I own a Flip Ultra 1st Gen, I heavly use it to record videos as delicate as vlogs. My younger brother has also borrowed my Flip to record his drumming as well. It pickes up video and sound very nicely. This Flip Mino should be even better it being a newer model them mine.
