A couple of months ago I started listening to all the lost music and when I heard this I really wanted it to be the last song in the finale, im very glad it was (different arrangement), it fitted wonderfully. Im very sad to see my favourite show go, what a journey though.

Jack was always letting his emotions get in the way and was too impulsive in making decisions.. Even Sawyer saw that when Sawyer was running DI security. Hugo saw it much earlier. If you go back to the episode where Hugo tricks James (Sawyer) into assuming leadership by telling him the remaining castaways were going to vote Sawyer to banishment.

I love all LOST seasons, they are inspiration to me. I cannot hate any episode cause all got something that shocked me & wants me to see more. LOST is almost done (they finished filming days ago), & the only thing that worries me is that when this show ends...I will not feel the same. Great actors, great places, great stories, all done & soon gone...Michael Giacchino's music...the talent behind it...*sad* PD: This song is as good as Life & Death & John Locke's Theme :)

Anyhow, the song stops playing when Hugo realize that the batteries are out. The song came from the band of Hugo's. Then perhaps before they found the hatch? The music is so captave of Hugo. Especially the balance of him, that fine line that he never crosses of being such a fun-loving happy person, yet being so unlucky and having such horrible things happen to him. Why, in the scene where Charlie tells him he's "too sodding fat" to fit in the boat, I would have lost it, but Hurley just shurgs it off and hugs him. It's that. All of that comes out in the music and it's wonderful.
