Hi! Your dog is beautiful! I have two, 4 month old Siberians & we don't have a fenced in yard. I was wondering how you keep your dog from running off. He seems pretty well behaved. Help? lol
@RacingIsFun48 -My Malamute is 116 lbs. and would destroy this chump Kaiser. Satan is big, mean as hell, and loyal to death. e beastifies everything in his immediate vicinity. Kaiser wouldn't stand the flimsiest of chances. Get Pwned !!!
this video is awesome. i have the same hand signals and same words for my husky. huskies are known for being hard to train but mine was fairly easy. get them at a young age...i had mine since he was 3 months he is now 2 years. they have TONS of energy. I need to get a video up of my husky now. Similar markings as Kaiser. just not as dark in the black fur area. he is black and gray.
As for buying puppies, I would look online. Try to avoid the "free puppy ads" and be very careful. A lot of those ads are scams. I would look for a Husky pup for sale that you could drive to and pick up, instead of having it shipped to you as its a lot more expensive. hipping a puppy depends on its weight and size and can be 100 to 400 dollars on top of the price of the pup. Find a local breeder near you, its the safest way to go. I'm going to pick up my husky pup this sunday. :)
Hey, my husky looks just like urs, he's still quite a bit smaller tho. I just put up a video of him if ya wanna see. So ur from Ky? I'm from Breathitt.
dont buy a puppy, adopt one. There are puppies that really need you and have a chance of dying if you dont adopt them. I adopted my siberian husky and he is sweet and easy to train so dont buy a dog when there are some (far less expensive) that really need a home.
He was relatively easy to train. I have a Golden Retriever puppy now and I can't believe how obedient he is. I'll try to get some vids of him up soon.
Did Kaiser like to bite a lot when he was younger? My Bella is 6.5 weeks old and gnaws me and my girlfriend! We give her lots of toys to play with but she loves to clamp on to our arms and hands!
@ownagesoldier You should adopt a dog from petfinder i'm sure there are many huskies in your area oh and dont for get the dot com at the end petfinder is a great way to find lots of beautiful great dogs up for adoption not only do you get a great friend but you save a life as well ;D
@ownagesoldier thier usually more sold up north btw this isn't a husky it's a different breed but of the husky's class but if u live near or around the equator they're not rlly recommended
Buy the book, The Other End of the Leash, by Patricia McConnell(spelling). Its great insight to dog behavior and will surely help you become a better dog owner. Just research training, theres tons of methods that work, use positive reinforcement and not negative.
yeah one question because i might be buying a husky how obediant are they when you first buy them what food do they normally lyk incase i buy him some food he hates
its like, not 'lyk'. theres dogfood for every kind of dog, whenever we buy food for our goldenretriever, the bag with food says what kind of dogs its good for.
hello. i have always wanted a husky and i was never able to find one. i love animals and i would ruch rather get one from a shelter and save its life rather than buy one. For some apparent reason, i can never find one. I only go for puppies as they are much easier to teach as they grow on you
I am not sure how many KORHS race I will get to this year, it just for fun now. Go to the kydirt. com forum and photo gallery or email me stu @ microwizard. com
Wow, I'm so impressed at how obedient he is!! I've heard from so many husky owners that they'll run at the first chance they get, but he looks like he's doing a really great job outside and not leashed. How'd you get him so well trained?
I am still in a fenced in yard. If were were outside of the yard he would definitely be on a leash. Thanks anyway though. He does pretty good off leash though, I just make sure I'm a long way from the nearest road before letting him off leash, like when we go hiking.
He is pretty obedient when doing tricks, if I have treats. The time he's not obedient is when I dont have treats and want him to come to me. If he feels like it he does, but were working on that. Its really hard for me to train him right now outside because its been so cold and rainy. But i've been doing as much as i can with him inside. Thanks for the info.
I kwow that Kaiser goes to other dogs while practicing. You should maybe when ever he goes to other dogs call him and show him the food. If he comes reward him with bigger food. If he doent's obey and does the next command just reward him with the regular food. I don't hAVE A HUSKY BUT do that with another dog. The dog's name is shadow. She only obeys like 1 time 1 day!Any way it is your own way you want to do things with him.
what method do you use to train him? He is very well trained.
Xaiano 5 months ago
@Xaiano Just positive reinforcement. No clicker or anything like that.

xXDyingDarknessXx 2 years ago
There is a gate. I let him off leash sometimes outside. Husky's to tend to want to roam though so I have to keep a close eye on him.

I would like to know, did you know he was going to stay black and not dark grey when he was a puppy?
Did you ask for a very dark Husky?
I'm planing to get a Husky as soon as I can and I would really like to have one with that color.
I just wanted to know if it was rare and if I could possibly get one like this
