mirandaugh: Good tip! I'm going to pluck in a bit and last time I did, I messed up so I watched this vid. lolz I questioned the ice thing and when you said that, it made PERFECT since! :)
im sick of the lack of description 'lift up the eyebrow for an arch effect' well, when you move your hand the arch goes. And stop saying 'look' all the time, actually describe theyre getting samey samey. Hot water before plucking.
e.l.f., you have really great products. You just need someone who can effectively communicate that and can actually DEMONSTRATE (not just DESCRIBE) application. It would have been helpful to see a model start with squirly brows.
And now for something positive: I love e.l.f. I have almost everything in every color, and a drawer of extras of my fav products. After years of spending thousands on mu, I only wear e.l.f. (except for Bobbi Brown corrector + concealer... cutting back to retire @ 40).
i agree with everyone who says ice on the brows is the opposite of what you wanna do. it closes pores. Think about it people, all those warming cleansers you can find are to open and cleanse pores thoroughly, the cooling ones are to minimize poor size and what not. If youre trying to lessen brow pain then opt for a nice warm washcloth over the brow for a little bit before you pluck, it softens the hair follicle and opens the pore.
you should NOT use ice before plucking your eyebrows. it's a common misconception that by numbing the area, it will make the process easier and less painful. it actually makes your pores contract more tightly around the hair. what you SHOULD do is take a warm washcloth and hold it to your brow to warm up the area, or pluck after having a steamy shower or bath. this will open up the pores and make the hair much easier to pluck out.
I dont get it? "You can get a clear brow gel at Sephora or Ulta" Yet they are using the ELF one?

Why did you use products from Sephora? Shouldn't you promote e.l.f. products in your e.l.f. videos?

@chaoslindsay430

Instead of using a model whose brows are already perfectly shaped, she could use someone who had less shaped eyebrows... I didn't see a difference.

you can apply ice afterward, though, if the area needs soothing

Very True. when I started tweezing my brows I just used a hot/warm towel to my brows.
less pain

Why are they promoting Sephora, Ulta, and other drugstores?
DollFaceHottie 2 years ago 34
Yeah, I was wondering that same thing.... But I guess they are trying to give us more options. Either way, ELF is way cheaper and I love that! lol
tatsudoshi65 2 years ago 7
@tatsudoshi65 yeah true that...I wondering why too, may be just their way of comparing products prices so we buy from them rather from others
