  • thanks for uploading mate

  • wow, over 1,650 likes, and only 8 dislikes.

not that that really matter,s but you know you're pleasing people when that's the case for your song

  • Radiohead forever !

  • do you want to collaborate with me?

  • do you want to collaborate with me?

  • Looks like Jonny is showing off his left handed guitar skills.

  • brilliant track, amazing band. and the red head at the back...also great

  • As one of the many that was initially discouraged by KOL's lack of tracks, I will say this: Each one of those tracks has a quality about them which is so unique and wonderful that it does not really bother me anymore. That being said, I don't think this song would have fit on KOL musically. This song is so vastly different from what they were doing on KOL that it deserved a single release. Now Staircase.... that song should have been on KOL.

  • Ooh hoo they've gone back to some roots I see ^.^

  • @ztikmaen I feel like they transgressed through a lot of their previous albums' sounds through this song alone.

  • they just have composed another orgasm

  • WOW this song is KILLLLLER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. It would have been a treat if it was on KOL!

  • i love how this builds to a crescendo. will these boys ever stop improving?

  • Charles Mingus would be proud.

  • First time seeing this I was all like, "What?? Jonny, Colin and Ed aren't all lefties!" Then i remembered the video's mirrored.

  • 8 people didn't receive their daily mail.

  • @Hierodp One person is a little bit of an idiot.

  • @Hierodp

    1 person is derivative

  • Simply Amazing. This song sounds like they threw their old material and new material into a blender and out came a masterpiece. The Daily Mail tops every track from KOL in my opinion.

  • @rbriggs89

agreed. to be honest i wish they had put this song on kol -would have made it less disappointing (imo)

  • I love how the tempo keeps building! Like a fucking orgasm!

  • This is sick fuckin fantastic!

  • Fuck the people who take down videos like this. I bought KoL From the Basement after seeing these videos, and even though I own the DVD, I still want to listen to this song sometimes when I don't have my iPod or laptop with me. Youtube and filesharing are the new radio!

  • what type of microphone is Thom using? Anyone know? So crispy

  • @feardoubtdisbelief

I think its a vintage Neumann U-boat 69. I had one once, and it did have a very crisp response. Unfortunately I damaged it after using the diaphragm as a contraceptive, having confused the term with birth control method which goes by the same name. It also did not help that I later attempted using the empty housing as a condom. Needless to say I unintentionally became a father, but it turned out well as the trombone player in this video is my son :)

  • Drooling at 3:00

  • @oblivionmaster77 I was drooling also.

  • i matched up this version with the studio version on my itunes, and they sound exactly alike in every single way. Almost no differences at all in singing, or tempo or anything. So idk if they sound exactly like their studio recording in every way or if this version is fake or somtin,

  • @EyEsEnBeRg they didnt release a studio version, there isnt one yet. they released the recording of this performance

  • @omardipset Really? I've heard this on satellite radio. So this is the recording I'm hearing?

  • @ZwienerZ yh its the live from the basement recording

  • @omardipset I hate to be that guy, but the version they released is a studio version because this is a studio version. Just because everyone in the band is tracking live doesn't mean it isn't a studio version. Just throwing that out there...

  • @tonywolfe16 lol dont lie to yourself you love being that guy

  • @omardipset Haha. Touche, good sir. Touche. You got me...

  • I love everything in this song

  • The first two seconds sound like "Pray for rain" by Massive Attack.

  • @Tralalala00 Except this is a million times better.

  • makes my ears turn into 2 clits that have been tickled too much

  • There's something overwhelmingly badass about the look in Yorke's face at the end of this.

  • coldplay, take notes.

  • @WeWontEscape

I really don't know how to tell you to get it, but for me the 'key' to the whole album was either Bloom or Feral. Once you can like those, you can like them all. Kind of like how the 'key' for my liking Kid A was Idioteque and Morning Bell, and for Amnesiac it was Pulk/Pull Revolving Doors. It just takes that one song, that one moment where something clicks and you get it.

  • these lyrics :)

the bso of a generation; thanks Radiohead.

  • damn, he slobbered all over that mic

  • Without everyone jumping down my throat... I have yet to appreciate KOL. I loved every thing Radiohead has done except that album. I hear the depth and art of it. I just don't find it good. Someone help me understand PLEASE! I know ill get a lot of negative comments but I am looking for just one person to help change my view of the album. Ok? Start.....

  • @WeWontEscape try not to listen them with your ears, if you really know them you need no person to convince you ~s

  • @WeWontEscape If you don't get it, don't beat yourself over it. Pink Floyd are one of my most treasured bands yet I don't get everything they've ever done (ex: Ummagumma and half of the Wall).

  • @123Cynical I'm not sure if the entire band was really in the same head for those projects either, if you know what I mean. Ummagumma was sort of a collage and Roger Water's steered the band into his own storms.

  • @WeWontEscape All I can say without trying to weigh in on the album itself is, the From the Basement version of this album is by far superior to the original recording. Id watch that first to begin your transition lol.

  • What a masterpiece! this song instills a new energy in all his listeners!

  • I evol siht gnos..

  • @wesxila6 em oot

  • Thom sounds a lot like Lennon at 1:41 as well as at 2:28

  • wow pure euphoria on colins face 2:09 :)

  • @Tsuta Well, Go to Sleep live is rocky, Bodysnatchers, of course Paranoid Android, And foremost Electioneering. And these are just the ones that came to my mind immediately.

  • I kind of miss this Radiohead to be honest. They didn't make a song that hard rocking since The Bends really.

  • @Tsuta I hope you have heard Bodysnatchers :) Myxomatosis, 2+2=5 and the very underrated song, Airbag might all be called quite rocky.

  • @Gringinn try maquiladora...or polyethylene..or electioneering...or paranoid android...or bangers and mash...the trickster...there's always atleast 1 per album

  • @Tsuta Since the bends? WTF? Have you listened to any of their albums?

  • @Tsuta whole heartedly agree. Airbag and paranoid android were definitely the shit though.

  • nunca la habia escuchado, son los mejores.

  • It took me a couple of times through it to recognize the genius.... that's my history with every music I've loved.

  • You can get this on kingoflimbs . com now as a single, comes with Staircase. Nice album art too :) This should be in the description or thumbsed up at least!

  • Radiohead back to their best.

  • @noahwayne back? they've never been gone

  • I sometimes think that I'm one lucky person for absolutely adoring every song I've ever heard Radiohead produce. I'm not just saying that either. I see so many "fans" listing their least favorite albums and stuff, but I really love everything this band has done together. Next to The Beatles and The Doors, Radiohead is my favorite band.

  • Thank you Radiohead!<3

  • I wish they had put this on tkol!

  • Charles Mingus would be proud

  • No way this is ever leaving my head.

  • Wow. That breakdown is so heavy, reminiscent of We Suck Young Blood off of HttT.

  • Pure emotion...reminds me of jeff buckley...rip

  • Look their all playing Left handed lol!!

  • I´ve never seen Ed playing the Les Paul before... It´s weird

  • Fuck thats great

  • a ribbed microphone

  • radiohead, never stop impressing me, and this tune just blew my fucking head off

  • buatyful song.

I feel like a rising sun.

  • this song is about ron paul.

  • Seeing them perform these songs live on Colbert, and then listening to these glorious sessions gave me an appreciation I never thought possible for the King of Limbs... it's quickly becoming one of my favorite Radiohead albums...

  • The best band ever <33

  • Watch and learn shit musicians of the world.

  • the ending is so beatles-esque with the final chord.

  • 2:40...sickkkk

  • Wow.

  • 0:33 for the start of the song.

  • this song hurts my heart so good.

  • I kept thinking of global warming when listening ...

  • it was king of limbs that let me whatch and enjoy treme.horny music is cool

  • btw, i dont really understand what the problem with the album of 'king of limb', and i dont like to judge other, come one who we are nw that we can judge other simply.

bt as a fan of RADIOHEAD, i should be proud, even i was bit of disapointed to them at first when i heard this latest album.

    BUT

when u keep listen thoroughly, u can dig out many many surprises and being more admire, fanatic to them. they are trying to do something new and different, to venture the new idea of music.

  • wow

  • e = mc2 Thom = bloody genius

  • @weg1967 I'm not that sure about E=mc2 compared to the second statement

  • @weg1967 what about Ed, Colin, Jonny and Phil? We talk about the band, not the members.

  • @verloqueeseterno True history.. Johnny and Ed are The best guitarrist of a generation, Colin was a good person too and Phil is a best in their drums

  • I don't think Thom liked the fade out

  • Straight from the Beatles White Album

  • Top two comments are some right back-handed compliments

  • Wow. I didnt know there are songs that werent released. This is AMAZING. This is the Radiohead that i like. TKOL.. i havent gotten used to the sound yet.

  • @Radiohead420DJ This song was just released as a double single with Staircase.

  • I dont understand why everyone is annoyed with the King of Limbs. Radiohead just keep getting better in my opinion, TKOL, In Rainbows, KID A and OK COMPUTER are amongst the best albums I've ever heard. I think They are the Beatles of our Generation.

  • @JamesPurcellie No, they're completely different to the beatles. Both are just incredible bands but you shouldn't really compare them imo.

  • @JamesPurcellie Are people annoyed with the king of limbs?

  • @JamesPurcellie I thought the King of Limbs was by far one of the worst albums I have ever heard and I love Radiohead, I was especially shocked because I thought In Rainbows was one of the greatest albums ever written.

  • @TheJamieRockwells

I'm the other way around - I felt like most of In Rainbows was very bland and unoriginal (though not bad by any means), but The King of Limbs was a true work of art.

  • @etb513 Idk for me there isn't a single song on KoL that matches up to the raw emotion in Tom's voice in Jigsaw Falling Into Place...though I do kinda like Lotus Flower a bit

  • @JamesPurcellie right! in my opinion TKOL is the best music album of all times

  • @JamesPurcellie amnesiac

  • Comment removed

  • @JamesPurcellie there'll always be dipshits that hate on any group they experiment with/change their sound at all.

  • @JamesPurcellie

I was just thinking the same thing. Better than the Beatles no question.

  • @JamesPurcellie king of limbs cant be compared to kid a, ok computer. Im sorry. but. NEVER!

  • @JamesPurcellie was TKOL really an album or just a remix album?

  • @WantsToSleep everything is a remix, google it.

  • @JamesPurcellie agreed. I think in rainbows is a better album then TKOL, but TKOL is still great. The daily mail and staircase are fantastic too.

  • @JamesPurcellie The Beatles will be the Radiohead of their generation.

  • @memetherapy Correction, Radiohead IS The Beatles of their generation :)

  • @MrXipetotec79 You kind of missed the joke lol

  • @semperfidelis3100 I guess I didn't realize it was a joke...oh well...I'm half Canadian, forgive me

  • @MrXipetotec79 LOL HALF CANADIAN. i like you.

  • Une bourrasque emmenant tout sur son passage. D'une subtilité enivrante ! They write the music history

  • Gives me goosebumps every time I hear it. First time was on Colbert, I nearly creamed myself. Brilliant.

  • This sounds like You and Whose Army 'cause the structure of the song

  • fucking masterpiece

  • Why wasn't this on King Of Limbs? This track alone is better than the whole album. What a waste.

  • @domcruise Not awaste at all. This is connected to the meaning of the king of limbs. New limbs comes, and they're f*****g amazing.

  • @domcruise S'what I thought as well.

  • @domcruise you can buy it now, its a single

  • the beginning of this song gives me chills.

  • this is well good.

  • oooooohhehehehe i like this, not much of a fan of king of limbs, except the bass greenwood plays at the start of this, but wow, its good good and good

  • Another brilliant track. Radiohead never cease to amaze me.

  • thing is people say this sounds like old radiohead, but radiohead never ever sounded this much like old style big band sound except for MAYBE Life in a Glasshouse. That's it.

  • @TheTelepathicKid It's less of the big band style and more of the raw energy in this song people are talking about. You're right about the big band sound though, Life in a Glass House is their only other similar song. But this captures the The Bends/Ok Computer-esque fire that seems to have dimmed on their last album.

  • this is amazing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! =)

  • does anyone else get how amazing this is?

  • @smcneece625 i agree so much. the piano kills me around 2:12

  • This actually isn't the real performance, or there is some major lag. 3:36, he never hits the snare but you hear it anyways.

  • @jakeatollah That's because they have two drummers during this performance. Look at 3:10.

  • Comment removed

  • Sounds exactly as the fucking studio version!! Jesus Christ, so good.

  • @Skrubybrother ...I don't think there *is* a studio recording :P

  • @sundinDT182 Yeah man!:D Check it out, they just released it on iTunes..along with Staircase..

  • @Skrubybrother the new recording released is the recording of the live from basement :) that's why it sounds 'identical' :D

  • @hsw950210 Ohhh lol..that could be it..

  • *except 2+2=5, that song is still incredibly awesome

  • The only bad thing with this song is that it makes all other songs suck. I have never heard anything like this. SO FUCKING GREAT!!!!

  • six are high on glue

  • Six people missed the like button by accident.

  • why cant i ever be dissapointed with them?

  • Obviously 6 people buy The Daily Mail...

  • Why are the subtitles inveretd ? Was this recorded from the other side of the tele ?

  • @ksbg247 to avoid copyright

  • this is what i call talent..

  • we don't want the loonies taking over

  • @Mr5AMU3L they have taken over a long time ago...

  • colin is playing bloom at 0:11 love it :), i wish he didn't stop

  • God I wish this was on the King of Limbs. Much as I already love that album.

  • words! its awesome middle 4 what?

  • This is a single from the 19th on I guess

  • The song structure feels a lot like You and Whose Army which is why I think this is a B-Side instead of on The King of Limbs. They make some pretty awesome B-Sides like Palo Alto, Pearly, Cuttooth, Kinetic, etc. This one is no diferent :)

  • this track is superb

  • Yes,, I've been pissed off since OK Computer, sought help and this is what I've been missing.

  • @mondospectre in rainbows was their best album in my opinion

  • This sounds like the Radiohead i have missed since the 90s

  • @qwer8907 What, you didn't like any of their albums in the 2000s?

  • Skin of hen! =D!

  • I'll say it again.. Take that Coldplay! These guys can get more out of a 90 second bridge/outro than Oldplay could ever imagine

  • @bakshay Lol, Coldplay have always acknowledged that, search, Chris Martin said he'd give his left testicle to write anything as good as OK Computer.

  • anyone know when this song was written? Sounds kind of like an In Rainbows b-side

  • @houseofcards613 more recent than that. they hadnt recorded it when i watched them at glasto
