Is it true what they say about this bike being a pain in the ass to start in cold weather?

I have zero problems with this bike (Belgium)

always starts instantly. I suppose it's the older bikes that cause all those problems

GS500F is perfect :)

'k zou zeggen, zeker de F versie kopen, kost tegenwoordig (sinds de komst van de gsx650f) maar 4000€ meer (-1500€ op een paar maand)

@krizla4 Een GS500F is echt super. Prijs/kwaliteit zijn er echt geen betere.

Ik heb nu een gsx650f, die is heel wat krachtiger, maar kost ook pakken meer in onderhoud.

Hey man really cool bike. I was wondering what your opinion on this machine was as far as a first bike is concerned. I want a bike that is not too slow but not a squid bike. Is this the one? You seem to know alot about it so I would really appreciate any input from you...post a reply please, Thanks and nice vids.

It's a splendid bike if you ask me. Quite low costs, (mine eats tires, but depends how you drive it) very comfortable and good handling.

If you want a racer with a lot of power, you're better off with a GSX-R. But a normal car just can't keep up with it, even with my 25kw one.

I'm glad I have mine, and if I crash it before I get 21, I'll buy a GS500F again, 100% sure :)

i have 06 gs500f dark blue front and white ...looks sick BUT it just reminds me of the freaking GSXR 600 and makes ME JEALOUS....i cant wait until i upgrade to gsxr 600 04-07.

Mine too, read about it In Cycle World or Sport Rider not long ago. Lots of people thought it was a GSXR, but it's actually an affordable "cousin". "F" classification is a lot less expensive (insurance wise) than the "R", and a 650 is nothing to be embarrassed about :)

kool video< looking to maybe buy one for a busy New Jersey because of the cost $I am 160 lbs this bike is for some one who's under 5'10" under 200lbs for sure.but this bike is so nimbel you can do something you can't do on a 600 because of the tire size less power keeps you out of trouble you have a great track with plant break a ways fomer dirt racer

First of all, the yellow one rocks as well! :) very nice bike m8

And for the wheelie part;

The GS has only 48hp(mine way less atm, it only has 25kw => +-34hp) that's not enough for a power wheelie. I don't do anything "special" I just use the clutch.

hellow mate i was wondering your body type because in some of the pics you look extra small (no offense) lol and i was just wondering wether it was the bike being extra big or what. thanks alot!

Well, the bike is 100% standard, and I wouldn't describe myself as extra small :-)

I'm about 1.74m long and I'm about 86kg, so, yeah... :p

Thing is, my vids are taken with different cams, maybe that's the prob?

i have an '04 yellow gs500f. i can never come close to pulling a wheelie cause of the weight and it being under 650. anything special you do?
