  • He's a seriously incredible role model for speaking out about his experience and the fact he qualified as a doctor whilst overcoming anorexia is just incredible!

  • I hope one day I can be as strong as this.

I'm trying. But it's so difficult. I feel like giving up every single day :(

  • I cried when he talks about overexcercising, I really really struggled with it as part of my bulimia, I really can relate. Thanks for posting

  • Tbh, hes really good looking now x

But this does prove how anorexia can easily affect boys as it affect girls.

  • I'm so glad he managed to pull himself out before he got too deep...

I love Beat's videos but it would be great if you could feature some videos on eating disorders (EDs) that arise in response to hatred/fear of the body after sexual abuse. There is so much emphasis on people developing EDs because they wish to become more attractive, or have a 'better' body, yet a number of people, me included, develop an ED (for me, anorexia) after childhood sexual abuse. I starved to block out emotions.

  • I agree. Anorexia has nothing to do with beauty. I have anorexia and Asperger's syndrome. My body has always looked wrong to me. Anorexia makes me feel in control. I was also abused as a child and my anorexia was probably caused by both the abuse and my Aspergers.

  • its great he can talk about it
