  • I'm gonna show this to my freined with crazy curly hair-mine is more losse waves

  • lol @ her wearin a du rag

  • when i was 13 i would get out of the shower and i knew if i brushed my hair forward and wrapped a towel on it it would do the same effect i dont know i guess its just depends on the person i mean a shirt ...ill stick to my towel ,i like ur videos and ive learned alot of new things..its just funny how i didnt need someone to show me this its just common thing to know if u flip ur hair forward wrap it in a towel it binds the curls better than just letting it air dry..

  • I'm so gonna try this tomorrow before school. (:

  • what is your nationality???

  • You look like Raven from That's So Raven, haha. Pretty eyes :)

  • u look like a fatter version of dulce candy : )

  • hey I tried this from your tutorial I know you did this tutorial like 3 years ago but I just found it .. I am part black so my hair is already curly but I wanted to get my curls a little more defined and this tutorial is AMAZING! I put mousse all thru my hair then plunk it in a long sleeved shirt and sleep with it overnight. I take it off in the morning put a little more mousse and a little hair spray and it looks amazing!!! Thank you for this tutorial

  • I am going to have to try this out...

  • Wow I like how your hair came out very beautiful thanks for the video

  • i'm gonna have to try this. i have super curly and frizzy hair and my curls never look good. i've tried wearing curly hair styles for about 7 years now and haven't really liked a single one. i hope this works out. but i like the idea... just hope my husband won't make too much fun of me for wearing a t-shirt on my head lol

  • omg i love your hair its beautiful... this techniqe worked so good :)

  • at 1:19 a fly landed on your head! lol

anyhoos, your hair looks absolutely beautiful by the end! when you brought out the diffuser i cringed, but it worked so well! i have very similar hair to yours (but i get very frizzy hair at the hairline) so i can't wait to give it a go :) great vid :)

  • this technique was designed for african american textured hair, without all the products , and done on absolute wet hair

  • @workit718 so ur hair has to be soaking wet wen yu put tha tshirt over ur head?

  • @Lacubanitamasbonita yes . like immediately following your shower. its works well instead of blow drying if you dont want a afro or towel drying due to the frizz that it can lead to

  • in the morning, what do u do to control curls and stop it frizing coz mine does that ALL the time.

  • Oooh, I LOVE how this came out! Going to try it for SURE!

  • LOL that funny i practicaly do that everytime i get out of the shower but i just have naturally curly hair and yeah it does help keep it more formed but no bloe dryer for me that would scream a fro to me

  • wow, i wish i could do that with my hair :)

my hair is way way way curly, like spirrel curly, lol

and yeah your hair is wavy, lol

  • I have a suggestion, if you want more of soft hair with defined curl; I think you will loose some of the volume, but have more curls....skip the moose and spray in volumizer,,, just use gel and generous amount of leave in conditioner. Any product with a bit a alchol will kill a pretty spiral curl. I like this techine with the shirt though and will use this when I go to bed to protect my hair thanks!

  • This looks like a great technique!! I have been searching for a way to style my curly, sometimes frizzy, hair. I can't wait to try it out!!

  • it's also known as plunking

  • Wow ! Would this work with short hair too ?

  • @PruneSucree no your btttr off scrunching itt

  • Thank you =]

  • you look STUNNING!

  • I have been doing this for around a mouth, its great. I actually do it with just a tiny bit of gel on wet undried hair straight from the shower. leave it for just 5-7 min, scrunch gently then leave my hair to dry naturally, when dried naturally scrunch again to break up curl then no touching. love it!! love the vid!

  • wow you look like raven samone(sp) at the end:)

  • NICE!!

  • awesome tip. Really makes your curls pop

  • Nicely done! What is the name of the web site you reference at the end? Thanks!

  • OMG, I tried this and was getting frustrated trying to get those freaken sausage rolls... I'm going to try your method, seems MUCH easier. Thanks. :)

  • what i was spectacle but it looks like it works im going to try it thanks

  • your hair is lovely

  • love it, subscribed. thanks.

  • techniq looks rediculous in theory but the results are GREAT

  • Can you sleep in this? I don't have time in the morning to do my hair

  • GREAT result!

  • u r th best

  • nice

  • f*ck my curly hair lol

  • I've heard of this before, but as "plopping" not plunking hehe.

You use a lot of products, do you really need that many? Like do you notice a difference if you don't use one particular product?

  • omg you look like raven symone its crazy but your so beautiful! you look so pretty at the very end (well you look good the whole way thru ^^) wow i wish i had ur luckkk lol love ya!

  • Complimenti, veramente interessante, ci proverò anch'io con i miei capelli!!!!!

  • I did this and worked well enough, but it worked better for me when I put my products in when my hair was soaking wet and then immediately wrapping it in the t-shirt and leaving it over night. But my hair is really thick and very curly, if that makes a difference. So if anyone didn't get perfect results, they can mix things up a bit and do this a bit differently.

But thank you for the video :)

  • I'm so happy it worked well for you. Happy hair days!

  • I am SO going to do this tomorrow! Thanks for the tip!

  • did u say put the products in after hair is 50% dry? or put the products in and then wait for it to be 50% dry and then wrap it in a t-shirt?

  • wait until its 50% dry

  • leaving it in over night makes it amazing!

  • This was really useful thank you :)

  • It looks really good and volumey, if thats even a word lol. But, whats the point of plunking if youre still gonna difuse it at the end?

  • i have curly (not wavy) hair but i dont have many ideas on different styles..

when my hair is straight i can do anything but when its curly i cant do much..unless its dry.

im tired of the same ol same ol.

    help any one!

  • can it be any kind of T-shirt or does it have to be made of specific materials??

  • i tried this two days ago, it worked amazing no frizz what so ever, after you dry your hair use bed head after party. it made my hair soo sillky, shiny, and not frizzy. give it a try :] smells amazing too

  • Your hair is wavy... It's very pretty.

  • OMG so lovely! The difference is astonishing! The plunking really effervesced your curls! Thank you so much, I'm definitely trying this now.

  • wow interesting lol im going to try it =]

i have wavey hair and it annoys me coz i want it to be either curly or strait and its neither so i usually straighten it but i love curls!!

    thanks =]

  • this is a really weird method, never tried it, but i am now thanks a bunches

  • aha. im "pluning" right now. waiting for the results. curly hair girls do it best :)

  • you know it! :)

  • You look so great with curly hair, it looks so much better then with the "scrunching with gel" technique lol! I cant wait till my hair grows longer so i can try this.

  • i have this towel on my head, and i look like a freak lmao :D

  • haha, join the club...:)

  • can we do it without all the products? can we just use one or two of the products? Your hair is awesome!

  • oh wow it looks really nice, and i love the volume, and you look fab :) i havent washed my hair yet tonight so maybe i'll try it out. hopefully it works out just as well as it does on you considering my hair isnt as curly and flips out because of my layers

  • Great video. This is also called plopping, depending on where you learn it from :)

  • L0VE THiS TECHNiQUE!!

  • you guys are great, thanks so much! :)

  • this is beautiful on you...fabulous

  • Could you EVER look bad? LOL

You are always so beautiful. Thanks for sharing, and your hair looks absolutely gorgeous!

Do the products leave any residue (stickyness) or roughness (dryness) in the hair?

    Thank you!

  • Can you still do this if you have straight hair ? (:

  • I would give it a try with a curl activator and see what happens, you might want to sleep with it over night so your hair gets completely dry....good luck, let me know how it goes!

  • Love it. I will try it because my hair is about your hair length or a little longer and when my hair is wet it weighs down my curls making them look not curly and not straight but just blah. Yay new technique!

  • Actually my username has two R's in it... but thats cool being mentioned :)

  • sorry about that, I went ahead and fixed it

    :)

  • hi dawn its me. i love your videos and i miss you so much!

  • wow...i dont get how that tshirt thing helped but wow, thats so awesome.

does it work with really thin straight (medium length) hair??

  • AMAZiNG!! i NEED 2 TRY THAT!!

  • Awesome style!

  • LOVE IT!!!

  • Is pursebuzz going to feature this on her site? She really should! :)

  • yes she has, she's the best!

  • Im so glad that you liked this technique and made a video about it! I plunked overnight and the results were AH-mazing, in case u want to try that! I ended up not having to diffuse :)

  • i just wanna thank you for having different tips for embracing curls and waves because the ideal hair is straight but the fact is wavy/curly hair is way more fun

    so thank you

    keep the ideas coming !

  • lol the only reason straight is ideal is because so little of us have nice curly/wavy hair...we should consider ourselves very luck to have natural curls!

  • that's very sweet, thank you :)

  • I'm a little confused. I have probably the same curly/wavy hair. Couldn't you acheive the same results by just diffusing your hair? Please let me know cause I'm always looking for curly tips. Luv your vids btw! :)

  • yes you can, but I find this makes my hair less frizz for some reason!

  • Cool! Thanks! I'm going to try this! :)

  • thanks this helps. and did you put in colored contacts?

  • ah i did this from naturallycurly website! its really handy ^_^

  • coool

  • Wow that looks so cool ~ a lot easier than scrunching :)

  • nice :)
