Fellow Vermonter here. Good deal. Yeah, it's real and we DO have them here in the Green Mountains. I think that because of the way our demeanor is here, that most of the happenings go unreported. Been a deer hunter since the age of nine and when I was about 15, while hunting with my dad, I can tell you that we saw something bi-pedal and it wasn't a man, nor was it a bear. It just wasn't. I KNOW that ground, and no man or bear can cross that terrain in those few strides. It's just fact.
Interesting footage :) I would suggest you explore other possible explanations, before calling a thermal image a hand or fist, just because once that is said people will see what you suggest. The footprint footage is very compelling. Did you take casts? I assume that was your daughter in the video, I hope she becomes a BF scientist. :)
A man in south east Ohio also heard a Squatch speaking apparent English saying his name "mark rock rock" after hen and his buddy mocked calls to themselves earlier. Freaky.
Nice set of tracks! You present some compelling things here.
However, I would urge you to be extremely skeptical when differentiating "stick structures" vs. just goofy natural breaks and falls. My woods are chock full of criss-crossed limbs and broken trunks that don't seem to make sense. And I've never seen or heard anything to make me think BF are in my local area. I'm sure you DO find anomalous stuff (like the missing bark at wood-knock height), but nature makes weird stuff too.
Thanks for the comment, allenjgraves, though it doesn't make sense that a) it would be the last living Sasquatch, when people see them throughout North America, or b) that they would tag it in BC and find that it lives in Nevada.
This is amazing footage! Scientists in British Columbia have actually trapped and tagged what is thought to be the last Sasquatch livinbg today. Due to radar tracking devices they can tell that the Sasquatch lives in the deserts of Nevada. They now know they are able to shed for climate control and think it may also be pregnant! Amazing stuff!
gary wrote to you and contributed as well, never heard back. i am having knocks from a 5 mile area in jersey pa they are moving on the shad run the key is when and where and i have that pinned down for a expo with a ranger who knows where and has had the knocks as well ,on recently when i took a roll of moss carpet on my shoulder out of the woods it was close but i could not see anything and it was 4 in the afternoon. my only problem is getting a good enough thermal camera .
creepy stuff man reminds me of a story my dad told me. In the late 80s he bought 100 acres of property on top of a remote mountain and built his cabin along a game trail. One night during the winter something started banging on his cabin circling while continuing to bang. Needless to say he got his 30-06 and sat in a corner facing the door with the rifle on rock and roll until it went away for a few hours. The next day he investigated around his property and found large tracks leadn to the wood
dear sirs. it is highly unlikely you will catch much from sasquatch. they smell you miles away and fear you. your cameras stink, your clothes. everything. just so you know why its hard to find them.
By the way. I hear that their eyes glow red in the light and that they supposedly have six fingers on each hand. Reflective eyes are characteristic to better night vision. I think that some aliens have 4 fingers per hand. I wouldn't be surprised if we were hybrids between them and aliens. But now I'm just talking crazy ;-)
There are odd stories of Sasquatch. One lady claims that a tribe of them has visited her family for years and the patriarch speaks English. Rather odd. I don't doubt their intelligence. I would attempt to communicate with one if I saw one, though I would doubt that it would answer me in English, if at all. It would probably just throw a rock toward me to show its distain of my hairlessness and lack of harmony with nature.
I love your videos. I am not sure Bigfoot are as subtle as you maintain them to be. In the summer of 1977 my Grandfather and his partner were working for the NJ Dept of Fish and Game. Sasquatch just walked up on them as it was traversing Shaytown Swamp at a distance of maybe 30 feet in broad daylight.
I live in virginia on a farm, this one night the cows were mooing in rapid and odd ways and we could hear our gates clanging. Well, i went out with my flashlight and a pistol. Well i walked around for about an estimate of 20 minutes, and i saw this big human like dark figure. I thought at first it may have been my neighbor (he has been causing a lot of trouble) But it moved to a tree, climbed up it and stayed there. I couldn't see it while it was in the tree. It was, i'd say about 7 feet tall.
This is quite intriguing stuff. I myself had a close encounter with that loud banging. I was out in the woods with my dog when I saw a tree that had nearly identical sratch marks as the one in the video. But it was much fresher, after a while I walked maybe 100 feet from the tree and heard the same banging noise just like the banging in this video. I am buying a camera soon, perhaps I will try to capture it for you.
@zeldaman2008 Thanks for the comment, zeldaman2008. Even if it was, perhaps, made by deer originally, I think the Sasquatch probably knock there, because why wouldn't they. Barkless areas on trees sound much better than knocking on bark, and the many knocks I recorded that night do not sound like they were struck against bark, which muffles the sound.
@bassproboy17 Trail cameras have been tried in hundreds of likely spots in North America, and are widely known not to work. For some reason, the subject knows how to avoid them, probably because A) their large brains are able to memorize every contour of their territory and can immediately see an anomaly, B) their highly sensitive ears can hear the electronic tones of the cameras...or both.
So we have a bigfoot here on Camels Hump is what you're saying? Sweet.. I've been watching video's for about an hour. Only one I found in Vermont. Going to check your websites, keep up the good work..
@FishEaster You don't. The strength of any evidence, though, is its repeatability. If you or anyone does their homework, finds an "active" area, and does what I have done, they will find stick and tree structures, occasionally hear wood knocks, and experience encounters.
Interesting video, but that tree didn't come down because of termites...NO it had a bit of help! Did you look at the base of the tree to see any rot or how it was broken off?
Don't wish to alarm you but that was big enough that it could have killed you!!!
The area in which you're investigating, does it get much in the way of human traffic at all? Yes I believe in BF, I also watch TJSJrbigfoot as well; you had a very close call, be careful out there...take a mate out with you! Cheers.
Look between about 5:30 and 5:36 and watch for 2 eyes briefly. Listen to your words and it's as your mentioning that it may have been behind a screen of leaves. I THINK FLIR will show brighter with the eyes if i recall correctly. You'll have to watch it several times to see it probably. it only shows up for about a second. you have the original so I'll let you evaluate the better quality film rather than use this one for a judgment call. let us know what you see.

I believe in sasquatch and have down extensive reserach on him/her as far as i can tell almost all culteres of the americas have reports of "Hairy Man" in their legends. Coincedence i think not. Keep up the good work
I spent some time in the Kiamichi Mountains in Oklahoma. My colleagues and I heard the high pitched screams, which I was able to compare with a tree hyrax (when I in Africa) several years later. We also found footprints, and the same almost-identical tree branches and saplings bent over into criss-cross patterns.
@mrsouthwest303 Yes, I do. I like to sleep in the woods with no lights or campfire, make occasional wood knocks, and wait to be approached. 98% of the time, they don't come near, or at least I am not aware that they are near. It's the 2% that I live for.
Wow a tree falling means Bigfoot? Boy the "evidence" for Bigfoot gets more generic all the time. Greene video is authentic if by authentic you mean its a real human in front of the camera. Thermal imaging is just the latest bigfoot scam-no costume needed,no debate over details of body structure just a blob on film--perfect for the Bigfooter willing to believe anything without a speck of proof.
How can you say the M Greene video is authentic?.....What proof do you have? I don't see the M Greene video publishes even remotely as much as the PGF??? Why do we think this is the "holy grail" because it is thermal?....I am not looking to cause any issues within the Bigfoot community, but you have some GREAT footprint evidence, but your video is mostly based on a "tree that fell down"?
@damic actually sasquatch is native american for "giant hairy man of the woods", the name Bigfoot was given to sasquatch when people found it's footprints which are large and they nicknamed it "bigfoot" and the name stuck. Also Bigfoot is the name of a native american chief.
@sandonovan23 yeah I kew that just the list of names he has been given is soo freaking long, theres like 100+ names for him and they all basiclly translate into hairy man t or a wild man of the woods/plains/mountain. Its guys like this who will be one of the first to get good footage cause he's building up face time with the creatures, as he's showing he's not a threat he'll get lucky, plus with the known ideas that Bigfoot has a fasination with kids that could also help.
So you say the M Greene video is authentic??...Why would a skeptic believe this video is authentic? Authentic means "it happened" Scientifically can you elaborate on the video? I want to believe in Bigfoot, but there are too many "open" issues/questions?
I think your investigation is interesting. I was wondering if you have seen the M. Greene thermal video that he is selling for two dollars? Do you have any opinions? IMO, the thermal that you percieve to be a Bigfoot at the end of the video appears not to be moving. If that is a Bigfoot, it's hard to believe that a creature of that size did not make any noise for those few seconds?...it is only my opinion. Keep up the good work I hope you find what you are looking for...."a lot of people do"!
I was just wondering if you saw the Mike Greene thermal video from April 2009? Do you have any opinions? I think you are quite brave to do what you are doing...I hope some day to see this "phenomenon" hopefully one that is 'alive".
first off,,you have balls,,man if i was out there all bymyself,,and a tree was pushed over by something,,,i would runn the hel lout of the woods like a school girl,,that was scary
Thank Heaven For Little GIrls. I have a 7 year old. Pretty cool to share this with her. Interesting video! But I wonder if that tree going down was a warning and how many more you will get before something worse happens. Be careful.
@jimmye6669 Dude, no! They don't have hair on the bottom of their feet! And the hair they have on the sides of their feet doesn't tend to come off when they step in the mud...
I'm not trying to say it didn't happen, im a huge bigfoot believer. It just seems weird that a bigfoot managed to get 6 feet behind you, push down a big tree, and you didn't notice until the tree hit the ground.
@impossiblevisits I can understand that. Even though I would love to see a bigfoot myself, I personally don't think I would have the guts to sit out in the woods at nighht like that in bigfoot country. Maybe if i had about 5 other people with me :P
@impossiblevisits, is it just me hearing something that wasn't on the video? Or right before the tree started being pushed down, was there some sort of snarling, growling kind of sound, just seconds before the tree started down? Also, as big as a Sasquatch appears to be, having been that close, wouldn't the recorded have picked up the sound of it walking away? Just asking?
@GBeret83 That "snarl" was me snoring. I think that after the tree fell, he "hit the deck" and froze still for a while, till I went back to sleep. It's very common, from eyewitness reports, for these primates to avoid detection by getting down on the ground and staying absolutely still.
Why would you take an infant child into a location where you highly suspect these unknown creatures are?
The creatures were able to creep into camp unnoticed, while you were completely asleep. Native americans told stories of how at night, they would put their children in the middle of teepee's because these animals would sometimes take their young.
What makes you think I would ever take her into these areas at night? Every once in a while, she accompanies me in broad daylight, and I never take her off trail. Also, she's not an "infant."
Right before the tree fell was that you snoring or something growling? awesome video...I don't think I would have stayed as calm as you when the tree fell lololol
That was me snoring. Yeah, I know, in retrospect I wonder why I was so calm. I think the secret is always keeping the fascination level a little higher than the fear level...
Have you ever come across a Bigfoot and threatened it? At the house of a friends I once saw and heard a strange, loud, big creature, and jokingly we said "it must be Bigfoot". We started throwing rocks towards where it stopped, then quickly stopped doing so once we heard a very violent, very fast bashing of a stick onto a tree. I immediately stopped throwing rocks. I had known of this primate to smash sticks to trees as a warning. Ever had it happen?
Hey I'm interested in the bigfoot phenomenon too but my main focus is the sasquatch's use of infra and possibly ultrasound to stun possible prey or threats. Have you ever felt like depression, sleppyness, or even sickness while out in the woods when there was a suspected bigfoot around you?
Thanks for the question, playaninja1. I haven't felt the typical symptoms of being "infra-blasted," but one time I was walking to a spot above where the tree (weeks later) crashed beside me and suddenly felt "prevented" from proceeding by a distinct tighness in the chest. Now, I've never experienced cardiac symptoms before or since; nor was this particular hike very strenuous. Many animals produce "infrasound"; lions, for instance, have been documented to disable gazelle in this manner.
No, I didn't cast the tracks. On the one hand, of course, I wish that I had. On the other hand, though, my stance is that there are already thousands of convincing track casts in existence, and that a few more will not significantly add to the preponderance of evidence. My main interest in locating tracks and other signs is to determine where the Sasquatch are operating in my area, so that I can best position myself to obtain footage.
I wonder if the bark removal phenomenon is a result of impact when two pieces of wood are knocked for communication. I imagine that Bigfoot is immensely strong.
i just found your video and subscribed. very interesting. ive never seen a bigfoot and im not even sure i believe in them but i have been interested in them since i was young. so i have been watching researchers on youtube. by the way......your daughter seems very smart. good to see a kid outside instead of being numbed by a computer. thanks for the video and i will look at your other vids.
Blind, see Meldrum's comments, linked at the BFRO home page. What he doesn't mention, though, but what he does include in his book SASQUATCH: LEGEND MEETS SCIENCE, is that until 2005, zero fossilized chimp bones were found in Africa, and to this day, no gorilla fossils have been unearthed. In terms of more recent remains, think of this: There are probably far more bears in North America than Sasquatches, and people almost never come across bear carcasses, because nature takes care of them.
EXACTLY Skeptics don't take those things into account! If a Bigfoot dies in the deep forest then it would only take about a couple weeks actually for it to fully decay including it's bones. Just look at murder cases if a killer dumps a body and leaves it there for just a few days in the open it only takes days for the body to decay to the point where you cant tell who was killed. Also little known fact.....a scientist from the U.S said it was impossible for the Patterson footage to be faked.
Despite the popular superstition that there's no proof of Ol' Mr. Stinky's existence, most people don't know that biased eggheads in academia ignore solid evidence and foster that misinformed belief.
Wildlife and forestry pros, police officers, clergymen, hunters and others with sterling reps and outstanding character wouldn't expose themselves to ridicule for no reason.
The official govt position is, "Sasquatch? Naw, it was a weather balloon!"..or something like that...
Great work, but through a lot of the video it's extremely difficult to hear what you're saying. I had to use headphones as my laptop wasn't loud enough.
Good point, Cats. The trouble lies in interpretation. The tree was, indeed, weak, but one can't know whether it was chosen BECAUSE it was weak. (If they know anything, these creatures know trees.) September 15 was absolutely still, and if the tree was going to fall on its own, I'd assume it would have done so in a previous windstorm. Also, the audio includes a thumping on the ground, so there was definite animal involvement in the tipping, but no sounds of climbing, as of bear or raccoon.
And if that hapens again, next time please shoot detailed video of the section of tree that snapped, so others can tell whether it was pushed over or was rotten and simply chose that moment to fall.
I listened again for the growl just before he pushes the tree down. Freaky. I admire your courage to go out there again & again after an encounter like that. My own encounters with Squatch were very frightening as well but not to that degree. It yelled at me from about 20 ft away & I had to run right by it to get to the car. It yelled again as we ran by it & the sound of the yell felt as if it was going to knock me over. The guys I was with that night & myself will never forget that scream.
Is there any chance Sasquatch could be semi-arboreal? It would make sense, since they are able disappear so quickly. Not sure if this is covered in your book or other vids but if not it might be intresting to look into
Respect man, They are there, we just haven't looked in to the places we find dangerous. I have heard this "thing" and seen it briefly. This is good audio but for more solid proof you need at least thirty to forty-five seconds of good, full proof footage. This being does create a heavy odor and is big, known for breaking large limbs and branches. Like I said before, respect, not many people actually believe they are there until they see it with their own eyes. AM
It strikes me that the issue scotty is attempting to raise, below, is the ethical one--that is, why continue to pursue knowledge of Sasquatch when it seems that this creature just wants to be left alone? I've tried to address this question in new text under "info" in the upper right-hand corner of this page. It's too long to post here in the comments sections, but please respond with any thoughts.
Not sure of the motivation behind your comment, scotty, or why you seem hostile. Do you really expect me to tell the world where my research site is located? I'm just trying to learn more about these fascinating beings. Anyone is free to research this subject and to post whatever information they choose, in the hopes that it will possess some quality and might shed more light on this lesser-known corner of our world, without compromising the safety of any group of Sasquatches.
So what location is this and are you serious about proving the exsistance of a new crature without disturbing its habitat and to be respectful of the territory without the desire of financial gain, what is your purpose why do you want to edit your film so that the reason is not explained thouroughly, Who are you and what is the purpose of this video? Mabye you shouldnt hide in the closet.
Luckily, whether or not my imagination plays tricks on me out there doesn't matter, because the goal is documenting the experiences, and using logic. I recognize the sounds of most run-of-the-mill animals, and know the odds of one of them pushing a tree down right next to me. Also, I don't carry a weapon, of course, because that would defeat the whole approach of passive receptivity.
Not to be a pessimist, but I would think that being alone in the woods would also heighten your imagination. Especially in predator country, where a sound could mean you are being stalked. I would find it hard to separate my natural good sense fear, from my desire for an encounter. Do I grab my microphone, or my pistol, in other words.
Yeah, I find that my fascination tends to outweigh my fear. And I think that being alone with no fire or lights maximizes your chances of an encounter, because you pose less of a threat. It helps, too, if you occasionally make some provocative sounds--trying to imitate their sounds and thus elicit curiosity--such as wood knocks or whoops.
I find your description of just what kind of creature sasquatch is to be right on the money. I have been studying this subject for nearly a decade, reading all the encounter reports and a dozen books. I prefer not to use the name Bigfoot or the term 'monster' because I see them just as you do. I'll be looking forward to more of your videos. Such a good idea to bring your daughter along. WC
Finally a competent video and a good one, I know that with a flir it will be the only way to get good video just watch for rocks being thrown like what happened to my father in the 70s on the hudson bay....
There is no video sequence before the event, because I had the camera lying down next to me. My theory is that if I am entirely passive--not in "capture mode" of any kind--and without light, and sleeping, they might feel safe enough to come close. I picked up the camera only after the tree came down.
Amazingly scary the growl just before the tree falls next to you , Did you hear anything walk up on you? Also is there any chance to view the entire sequence uncut for youtube. I would really like to study the entire video sequence not just the exciting parts. You got guts to do this alone with trees being pushed down right next to you.. Wow
Can very much relate to the downed tree but not nearly as close as that one. They definitely wanted to scoot you out of there. Obviously not trying to hurt you
The knocking was the most impressive I've ever, ever heard. If you "listen" you can literally "hear the strength" in the arms that swung the log or rock to make that knocking. Your work, in my opinion, is pure genius. You are researching and finding the information regarding bigfoot that we desperately need.
Why don't you get a trail cam and some food like fruit and see if you can capture a photo of one???

dear sirs. it is highly unlikely you will catch much from sasquatch. they smell you miles away and fear you. your cameras stink, your clothes. everything. just so you know why its hard to find them.
craigmancool 11 months ago
GeoGarcia10 11 months ago
There are odd stories of Sasquatch. One lady claims that a tribe of them has visited her family for years and the patriarch speaks English. Rather odd. I don't doubt their intelligence. I would attempt to communicate with one if I saw one, though I would doubt that it would answer me in English, if at all. It would probably just throw a rock toward me to show its distain of my hairlessness and lack of harmony with nature.
GeoGarcia10 11 months ago
You must've been pretty brave to sleep out in the woods at night without a tent. O:
I know I wouldnt've made it, especially if I heard a tree falling meters away from me!
AndreaBigfootfan 1 year ago

Barkless areas on trees sound much better than knocking on bark, and the many knocks I recorded that night do not sound like they were struck against bark, which muffles the sound.

get some trailcameras
bassproboy17 1 year ago
@bassproboy17 Trail cameras have been tried in hundreds of likely spots in North America, and are widely known not to work. For some reason, the subject knows how to avoid them, probably because A) their large brains are able to memorize every contour of their territory and can immediately see an anomaly, B) their highly sensitive ears can hear the electronic tones of the cameras...or both.

@impossiblevisits
I'm not trying to say it didn't happen, im a huge bigfoot believer. It just seems weird that a bigfoot managed to get 6 feet behind you, push down a big tree, and you didn't notice until the tree hit the ground.
Morphicc 1 year ago
I noticed while it was starting to fall, as you can tell from the audio on the video. Honestly, I was sort of frozen in place!
impossiblevisits 1 year ago
@impossiblevisits I can understand that. Even though I would love to see a bigfoot myself, I personally don't think I would have the guts to sit out in the woods at nighht like that in bigfoot country. Maybe if i had about 5 other people with me :P
Morphicc 1 year ago
@impossiblevisits, is it just me hearing something that wasn't on the video? Or right before the tree started being pushed down, was there some sort of snarling, growling kind of sound, just seconds before the tree started down? Also, as big as a Sasquatch appears to be, having been that close, wouldn't the recorded have picked up the sound of it walking away? Just asking?
GBeret83 1 year ago
@GBeret83 That "snarl" was me snoring. I think that after the tree fell, he "hit the deck" and froze still for a while, till I went back to sleep. It's very common, from eyewitness reports, for these primates to avoid detection by getting down on the ground and staying absolutely still.
impossiblevisits 1 year ago
Why would you take an infant child into a location where you highly suspect these unknown creatures are?
The creatures were able to creep into camp unnoticed, while you were completely asleep. Native americans told stories of how at night, they would put their children in the middle of teepee's because these animals would sometimes take their young.
AzBirdDog 1 year ago

Have you ever felt like depression, sleppyness, or even sickness while out in the woods when there was a suspected bigfoot around you?
playaninja1 1 year ago
Thanks for the question, playaninja1. I haven't felt the typical symptoms of being "infra-blasted," but one time I was walking to a spot above where the tree (weeks later) crashed beside me and suddenly felt "prevented" from proceeding by a distinct tighness in the chest. Now, I've never experienced cardiac symptoms before or since; nor was this particular hike very strenuous. Many animals produce "infrasound"; lions, for instance, have been documented to disable gazelle in this manner.

Sounds possible that you were hit by a small amount, thanks for answerin!

My bet is that they remove the bark first, knowing that a thick layer muffles the sound and is therefore not good for communication.
impossiblevisits 2 years ago
No, I didn't cast the tracks. On the one hand, of course, I wish that I had. On the other hand, though, my stance is that there are already thousands of convincing track casts in existence, and that a few more will not significantly add to the preponderance of evidence. My main interest in locating tracks and other signs is to determine where the Sasquatch are operating in my area, so that I can best position myself to obtain footage.
impossiblevisits 2 years ago
I wonder if the bark removal phenomenon is a result of impact when two pieces of wood are knocked for communication. I imagine that Bigfoot is immensely strong.

In terms of more recent remains, think of this: There are probably far more bears in North America than Sasquatches, and people almost never come across bear carcasses, because nature takes care of them.
impossiblevisits 2 years ago
EXACTLY Skeptics don't take those things into account! If a Bigfoot dies in the deep forest then it would only take about a couple weeks actually for it to fully decay including it's bones. Just look at murder cases if a killer dumps a body and leaves it there for just a few days in the open it only takes days for the body to decay to the point where you cant tell who was killed. Also little known fact.....a scientist from the U.S said it was impossible for the Patterson footage to be faked.

PrivateIrishmayne 2 years ago
Good point, Cats. The trouble lies in interpretation. The tree was, indeed, weak, but one can't know whether it was chosen BECAUSE it was weak. (If they know anything, these creatures know trees.) September 15 was absolutely still, and if the tree was going to fall on its own, I'd assume it would have done so in a previous windstorm. Also, the audio includes a thumping on the ground, so there was definite animal involvement in the tipping, but no sounds of climbing, as of bear or raccoon.
impossiblevisits 2 years ago

@impossiblevisits, 5:25 - if you look back to 5:20-5:21 is part of a tree.

It's too long to post here in the comments sections, but please respond with any thoughts.

chubychuk 2 years ago
Luckily, whether or not my imagination plays tricks on me out there doesn't matter, because the goal is documenting the experiences, and using logic. I recognize the sounds of most run-of-the-mill animals, and know the odds of one of them pushing a tree down right next to me. Also, I don't carry a weapon, of course, because that would defeat the whole approach of passive receptivity.
impossiblevisits 2 years ago
Not to be a pessimist, but I would think that being alone in the woods would also heighten your imagination. Especially in predator country, where a sound could mean you are being stalked. I would find it hard to separate my natural good sense fear, from my desire for an encounter. Do I grab my microphone, or my pistol, in other words.
FatDaddy4Fun 2 years ago
Yeah, I find that my fascination tends to outweigh my fear. And I think that being alone with no fire or lights maximizes your chances of an encounter, because you pose less of a threat. It helps, too, if you occasionally make some provocative sounds--trying to imitate their sounds and thus elicit curiosity--such as wood knocks or whoops.

There is no video sequence before the event, because I had the camera lying down next to me. I picked up the camera only after the tree came down.
