This has always bugged me. After going down an almost endless stairwell, jumping down a bunch of holes in the ground, going down a long elevator ride, and then finally going down another short staircase how the heck did James end up on ground level again without going up some stairs or an elevator?
You don't know how much I was freaked out when I was younger when I first saw the scene where you tried to rescue Maria from the cell. I used to hear the music play in my head and couldn't sleep sometimes at night, lol.
Hmm...despite all the screwed-up things in this part, I just can't get past the fact that Eddie has such an old-fashioned and unwieldy gun. A long-barreled revolver? Really?
(Hunh. So Firefox recognizes "unwieldy" but not "unwieldly"? What.)
@MusicoftheDamned hmm? You realize that a long barrel makes a gun stronger, right? Granted, Eddies IS old, but long barreled guns are still used for good reason. I shall now point you to the most powerful by far production handgun ever made. Just google "smith and wesson 500", and click on the wikipedia link.
@williamcharlie04: Ah, I had admittedly forgotten that about long-barrels given that I generally couldn't care less about guns. I don't imagine my sentiments will ever change unless I'm researching them for fiction, though I'll have to keep it in mind. Thanks for the information.
For the record, my original comment was more about the oddity of it being a revolver than it being long-barreled. Like I said, it just seems oddly old-timey/"Spaghetti Western" and contrary to Eddie's design otherwise.
1: *grabs plank* Eddie: Wait, what are you gonna do with that? James: Time for a good old spanking *Spanks Eddie until he ran crying to the second room.
2: OMG I KILLED A HUMAN BEING, WHYYYYYYYYYEEEE!!! *CRYS*............Oh cool a revolver.... crap, no ammo.
So eddy broke a guys leg, then killed a dog, then killed the dogs owner in self defence, and then just killed a guy for picking on him. Or did I loose track?
@nojkoor1584 Nope I got it wrong. Killed a dog, shot a guy in the leg, killed someone cause he had it coming either in defence or for picking on him, and last kill was defenently because he was being picked on
So you have to go down to go up. I recall Willy Wonka once saying something like that in "Willy Wonka and the chocolate factory". Though yay Silent Hill has nothing to do with that I am sure
Well, It looks like James went so far down that he came out on the other side of the earth... in an identical town, probably infested by the same monsters. Just bad luck, I guess!
Also, poor Eddie. It's not his fault he went completely insane! I liked him when he wasn't acting like a psycho!
Eddie really reminds me of a psycopath from Dead Rising. The cut scene before both fights is very similar. Also, he takes an inhuman amount of punishment to kill.
Apparently, the Bottomless Dungeon has the same spatial anomolies as Nowhere. Also, every time someone dies, James' thoughts go to Mary. I guess James DOES have the same one-track mind as Harry.
You know, Im glad you pointed out in the description how well James takes all the things in Silent Hill. I was talking to my friend just today about how thats the one thing that bothers me about Silent Hill. Harry and James both take things pretty well. They never freak out about the monsters. They just kinda go "Oh, monsters....*smack*
@ModelJames13 check his channel for the first game. i'm not sure whether he plans to do the others, but so far he seems to like doing entire series, so i wouldn't be surprised if he does.
I played through this game numerous times and I heard you can see more sightings of Pyramid Head besides on the Main Storyline...which I don't think is true...but is it?
I do feel sorry for Eddie. He didn't look like he ever understood the implications of what he did, and he has indeed been a punching bag through his life - I'm not sure how one can be genuinely mad at him.
were in the catacombs of the catacombs of the catacombs of the catacombs of the catacombs of the catacombs of the catacombs of the basement of the basement of the historical soceity?
The funny part, if you can call it such, is that its all avoidable, for the most part. I don't know much about Angela, but Eddie's figure could of made him a highschool football star. Sure, he's a little porky and short, but after a while he'd probably became a dwarf. Short, kinda big, and completely immovable.
So, Angela, Eddie and James are dead? As for Maria, don't worry James I'm sure you'll be seeing her again later.......... I think.
As for picking or making fun of people, it's not really something one needs to do. What I've seen and experinced, yeah, that can really happen. Sad to say
While it's possible, it's not really a good option against him. It's too easy to get knocked out of the attack due to how slow James is with the Great Knife, and how quick Eddie is to shoot or punch you and knock you out of the attack.
@RoahmMythril I was able to dispatch Eddie with the Great Knife fairly easily. When hes aiming his first shot, run up to him, and smack him with an overhead attack with the Great Knife. It can be a little tricky, but once you get the timing right, its always a one hit kill.
You know, the more I play this game and the more I watch people play it, the more I realize why this happens to be my favorite Silent Hill game in the series. I can relate to Angela and Eddie. Those two, well lets just say I know what they've gone through personally and know the kind of pain they feel from those experiences.
Behold the power of Silent Hill; bringing out your deepest fears by threatening you with baggage handling again, then killing them off just to toy with your emotions! BE AFRAID!!!
Oh...uh...I mean poor James! He had to watch her die twice! How awful! D=
I was sincerely hoping you would use the Great Knife on Eddie. Oh well. Maybe we could see every boss (after you get it of course) being killed by the Great Knife in the bonus episodes?
Hm..... I can try... It's really not a good option against Eddie. The timing to use the Great Knife on him, it's next to impossible to actually get the attack in before he punches you or shoots you to knock you out of the attack.
Well. Eddie should've stayed in the mental hospital. And not to insult him, but he must be really FAT to take more than a couple of shots. *shot* It's weird that in Silent Hill human beings seem more durable than the "standard" undead people.
I think it CAN work, but it's extremely difficult to get the timing right, i.e., being able to hit Eddie with it before he can shoot or punch you to knock you out of the attack.
I half expected Maria to jump up from the deathbed and try to throttle you or something equally startling and creepy. This game is not for the faint of heart.
This has always bugged me. After going down an almost endless stairwell, jumping down a bunch of holes in the ground, going down a long elevator ride, and then finally going down another short staircase how the heck did James end up on ground level again without going up some stairs or an elevator?

Learn a lesson from Eddie, kids, don't bully others... because they could become a highly homicidal nut-job.
