  • fuel consumption ?

  • Anybody has a 9-3 from this generation? I would really like some advice about this car. I mean, I 've noticed that on the display you can see an average fuel consumption but not an instant one. Is it possible to see the instant fuel consumption on this car?

  • @hakewyt the 03s and 04s have some electrical grimlins + they may have some problems with the heating and A?C, but overall in general its a great car if you get an 05 and up.

  • does this car save gas??? is it a god car??

  • LMAO finally found this vid again, I have quoted the part you say "I just hate that Shit!" in the same style you do a lot since I watched this vid last yr lol

  • How much did the BSR upgrade cost?

  • amazing video bro wa looking for a descent video of this car ad fnlly found it :)

  • I knew i recognized the bridge and then you said st.louis i was like ayyyee...im from COMO haha

  • What year is the car?

  • Hey man i have the same car what website did you go to for all your BSR upgrades??

  • Same car and i love it too!!!!

  • I HAVE THE SAME CAR AND I LOVE IT

  • Just to let you know, the boost is a lot higher on the stage 1, the reason why the boost gauge on the saab does not show much of a difference between stock and stage 1 is because the tune also modifies the gauge to show the new boost.

  • hey, thats not a 2.0t... they havent got a turbo-gauge

  • he is CUTE!

  • boost is an addiction bro. I was looking at these saabs before I got my car. Might look at one again in the future.

  • what did you do to get you blow off valve and turbo to be soo loud cause it sounds really good, could you let me know what all you have done to your 9-3

  • man ur tank is full!

  • nice car... Does that V6 really get 34mpg??? I'm just startign to look at saabs, oh and if you want to get rid of the brake dust you have to get the really good metallic pads, they are like twice the price of regular pads but they perform better, last longer and you will have no brake dust.

  • sell that car, buy another 9-3 turbo with a standard transmission

  • Comment removed

  • your a funny dude LLOL, I love the narrating jajajaja....sweet ride dude I fukin LOVE SAAB, I had an OLD 99 turbo with a Cage, nice seats, momo wheel and HELLA's up front with just a cheap suspension with H&R Progressive springs and some KYB Gas shocks, and the old waste gate trick... maaan oh man I miss that lil car!! throw some Blizzacks on and hit the hills, thing was a HOOOwT ta drive man I tell ya, the handling is the best part about SAAB STILL..haha now that they are a subaru AWD..LAME

  • did your mpg go up when you got the bsr b.c my 9-3 2.0T only averages 21mpg

  • Is there a difference between the 9-3 Aero and the "9-3 Aero SS" or is that something you added in??? Because i am about to buy an 05 Aero and add that Intake in it........

  • @Newpoint2 all 2003+ linears and aero's are SS (sport sedan)

  • Someone in a 9-3 passed me on page a few weeks ago lol I thought I was gonna see myself. I live right off 270 and page I knew it looked familiar. Nice car

  • I don't like the 9-3 so much. I was riding in one for about 1 year ago and i hated it. So damn small inside. :S The seat was really small and hurted my back. :P Saab 9-5 <3

  • Lake of the Ozarks, i like about 30 min from there! haha

  • America is so vast!

  • nice vid, clear, concise, informative.

  • i love my saab 93 its a 2007 runs great

  • на дебила похож )))

  • hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaaa thats hilarious!!!

  • Hey thanks for posting this vid. I am selling my 04 Audi A4 3.0 to buy a Saab 9-3 Arc. Some may say its a 'downgrade' but the Audi was killing me in maintenance and parts kept braking. You should post a vid of it in idle + revving from outside the car.

  • i hate to tell you, but the saab is going to just as much a pain in the ass as your audi... Not to mention saab is going to close its doors...

  • Lol retard.....

Saab was bought mounths ago by Spyker.......

And saabs are only secont Mercedes in the field of Reliability....

I dont know what you're talking about.

you would know this if you had one...

  • dude, i have had to take my saab to the shop atleats once every other month. right now my headlights keep blowing for no reason. my e brake locked up for no reason a few months ago. ive seen pages and pages of problems saab has. hell the dealership cant even program my headlight to turn off...i know all about saab, and it saab got bought out by 2 dif companies. i would like to know where you came up with that therory, every list i have seen does not have saab on top of reliability behind benz.

  • wow guess i was wrong, they got bought out by just that one company you said. but if you live in the states that means gm is closing the saab dealerships, so owning one wouldnt be too smart.i cant wait to get rid of mine for a new camaro or evo.

  • @Howie262 u are moron go fuck ur self merc is the shitties car in the word i rather drive kia then a benz

  • Is there something wrong with my Saab? I drive a 2003 Saab 9-3 Linear, and this guy is saying he was DOWN on MPG when he was at 29 mpg! I average, overall, 18 mpg, usually driving half the time city, half the time highway. I might as well be driving a Jeep Grand Cherokee V8 lmao. I do have a lead foot, but still, 18 mpg in an I4 sedan? Cmon!

  • your gauge may be off. do you dod the numbers your self? i travel on highways all day. put prob 100+ miles per day on my saab. All with well over 70mph driving and my car is getting me avg 27 mpg...

  • I have an 05 linear, I usually get 28-30. Though I drive almost all highway. If I mix some city in there it goes down to 25. I think EPA was something bad like 20 city.

  • with only city driving, i'm at something like that too, but when u do highways it drops to about 27mpg too.

also, if you drive on a cold engine alot, it's also alot higher

the downside on these things are... you want to feel the torque and hear the turbo :)

  • just replace the intake with an aftermarket one. this wont really add performance since its turbocharged, so the same amount of air is still going to be sucked in, but it does allow you to hear the turbo more.

  • Yep

    got the optiflow intake :)

it does feel like it spools up faster in lower revs with the optiflow

  • where are the paddle shifters

  • haha same reason I bought it, for luxury (and performance) I recon there the best all round car around, I wanna put stage 3 Nordic package in my 9-5 (and change the instrument cluster speedo to 2007 9-5)

  • is it fullpreasure or light preasure turbo?

  • get brake dust colored rims

  • can you put your other vids on here, i can't find them anywhere

  • i agree with you with the brake dust. i really find it annoying on my 99 saab 9-5

  • yeah I agree too, (got the same car and year as yours) Im gonna get Ceramic brake pads as there supposed to be low dust,

  • ur hot

  • Yea my 03 9-3 vector 2.0t is VERY bad with brake dust mostly on the front wheels, i can clean them, then drive 15 miles to work and i can already tell the dust building up it sucks if you like keeping a clean car

  • @bowlinmaster89 I hate that! My rims, after being cleaned, look amazing! The Chrome shininess is just awesome. Then, a day later, and theyre a dull charcoal color, covered in brake dust...

  • What an ugly town ! Nice GM car indeed...

  • your going down hill u creep!!!!!!

  • wierd ass sepdometer, but damn she can fly haha

  • Heh... we have a Saab 93 2.0t sport chipped (220hp). No extra text on the rear end of the car, just 93 no turbo text. Hehe its nice to piss off ordinary people who thinks their car goes faster :)

  • In this price range, there are a lot of choices, and going Saab is definitely being unique. I am debating between a new A4, 325i, 9-3 for luxury performance, or an Evo or STi for more performance less luxury. And then you can always just go Mazdaspeed 3. So it's a tough choice.

  • Buy the saab.

  • you gotta love the whine of the turbo. i have a 1999 saab 9-5 SE, sweet car for a 16 year old HAHA

  • Awesome vid bro, I really enjoyed it!

  • keep up the work dude, stage 1 is only the beginning. whats ur sn on saablink, im on there too? keep in touch!

  • funny thing i don't have a turbo gauge on my 93 saab

  • cause its not turbocharged...

  • Good luck finding a 93 without a turbo.. :)

  • o really, 99-02 saab made a 2.3l non turbo 9-3

  • the 1.8i 122hp

  • 2.0T is def. turbo charged

  • sorry i meant clutches***

  • it is Saab decided not to put a turbo logo on the back 2.3L non turbo, 2.0 turbo. I saw your video drag racing and you suck ass never say to someone Adios Amigo when you did not win the Race yet. Good Outrun!

  • Thats not my video. Did you not see who was the orginal poster of that vid? I just got it as my fav. thats not my race clip dude, i drive a 04 stage 6 9-3 and dont have any clips on the web. And saab made non-turbo 9-3 models.

  • 2.20 You go trough a red lights! If i saw right...

And oh my god i love that sound!

Theres lot of air moving on there!

    Nice Vid!

(Sorry for my bad english, im from finland)

  • right turn on red is legal

  • okay. In Finland is illegal

  • Cool vid.

  • Saint Louis, Missouri. Its in the states

  • haha yeah i just wasn't sure because i've never heard an accent like yours before. im from los angeles

  • where are u from?

  • Saint Charles, suburb of STL

  • whats stl?

  • st louis

  • so this is the 2.0T not the t

the version with the high-pressure turbo?

i've got a 9-3SS 1.8t 03 and would i be able to get that turbo-gauge on my dash?

  • Correct, but it is a High Output. This is the Mitisubushi T15 turbo vs the smaller one that comes on the 2.0t model. To get the turbo guage you have to cut the vaccuum line by the air box, and put a T-splicer in its place. You will then add the extra vaccuum line by the steering collum, through the firewall, and mount it to the back of the gauge. Add power then mount the guage and you are finished.

  • Aero 2.0T's have Mitsubishi TD04's, not T15's. It's the same turbo as used in the WRX STi.

    Your optiflow sounds great btw.

  • i have a 99 9-3 convert 2.0t i love driving that fucker to work and in the city i get 25-27 in the city and on the highway from 65-70

its any where from 35 to 30 and between 110-135 it gets about 27.9 and down mind you thats a stock saab but work on gm vechicals will own nothing other than a saab

  • I believe your car has the lower output turbo and pushing 8lbs of boost as Ive got the HO turbo and running 10-14lbs.

  • hi there, I recently adquired a 9-3 2003, Im looking for a blow off valvle, what is your recomendation?

where I can find an ECU upgrade?

how many psi of boost have the stock and how many yours?

  • im sure the turbo loves those cold temps :D

  • You got it! Its perfect temps right now, been out playin the last few nights

  • Thinking of buying an 03 to 05 saab 9-3 for my first car next year when I get my official license? what do you think? They are pretty cheap, and I heard most of the 9-3's that had problems were the linear trim.

  • Hey bud, great car but DO NOT purchase an 03. Thats the first year of the new body style with all the new technology and thye have a hoard of problems. And pretty cheap, whats your budget? lol

  • Yea, I was a bit skeptical with the 2003's, ever since I read some reviews about them. My price range is under 12k. lol. I found some 04's and a few 05's in the price range.

  • Well they are a great car! But a little more expensive to fix so if something goes wrong or you get in an accident. Either way, have fun car shopping! Remember just be happy with any car, many poeple arent fortunate enough to get one when they're 16, so respect what ya get. Take it easy

  • yea figures, since its a european car, but I'd rather pay more than look the same like everyone else on the road with the camrys. How much is it just to do routine maintenance? Yea, but I'm turning 17 next year so I'd have a bit more experience.

  • I have a 9-3 arc 2003 6Speed (Fully load and 1k shy of the aero) I know what you meant about spinnning out.... Now and aays I just use 1st gear to start the car after I hit 2nd gear there far behins I love Saabs, especialy around curves.... They take off after the 2nd gear.... But if the clutch is hit right theb Bam...the is a rocket....

2+ year owner of the 9-3 arc "Steal grey metalic"

  • i always burnout in my saab from red lights too! the first day i had my 93 i spun out form a red light and i was so suprised. u captured all the great features of saabs in this video...including that awful brake dust

  • i loved this car...

  • Great video. I have the 6sp manual BSR stage 1...3rd gear is a lot of fun on the manual too !! Whher can I find parts 1 and 2 to your video ?

  • Thanks for the comment, fun car isnt it! My links to the other videos are posted in the comments section just a little ways up under the "2 weeks ago" replies. Enjoy!

  • iam glad to see that u like our swedish great cars ;) saab and volvo is the shit :P i haveing a older modell of the 900 from 96 whit 325 hp on the wheelis and it keep me saticefied :D.. but i was planing to get one like yours anyway man relly relly nice car keep it swedish ;)

  • Could you give the link to the other movies you posted on saabcentral, because i can't find them. I would like to see those too. Fun car!

  • I cant post links in the comments section but go to dailymotion and search by User "Pbballer21". The 5 bids I made were condinsed into 2 vids posted on this site. Enjoy!

  • dude i am about to get me a 2005 Saab 9-3 i'm psyched about it. I've had a 96 Honda Accord since i was 16, and i'm 20 now. So i'm deffinatley looking foward to getting one of these babies. You got any suggestions or info you'd wanna share when making this purchase?

  • Congrats on the upgrade! Make sure you get a good deal and that the car wasnt abused. Carfax EVERYTHING you are thinking about buying, so ask the dealer for a carfax report. Enjoy the ride!

  • gotchya got the carfax the other day everything looks straight. Its about 3 hrs away up in chicago so i am thinkin of takin a train up there and driving her back. I might get around to posting a vid of it. Btw i appreciate your video, i also checked out your longer ones on daily motion. So i just wanted to say thanks, you deffinatley persuaded my decision alot more with these vids.

  • I'm thinking about getting a 2004 Saab 93. Do you think its a good car? Everything I read either says Saabs are the best cars and they will never buy anything but Saab again, or they say they are the worst cars ever. Thanks for any help!!

  • i have 9-3 and is gr8 car with ilegal exhaust pipe and it sounds as hell

  • Saabs are like Volvos ... you either like them or hate them. Mainly because Saabs and Volvos aren't that sporty when compared to say BMW 3-series, Audi A4, or even the Ford Focus ST. From my experience these cars are more of a great daily drive with a bit of punch. Take notice of the mid-range torque in these cars, it's amazing. Any Volvo T5 you just punch the gas, and it goes like hell :)

  • I personally love the car! With the tuning, it really wakes the car up so you can have some fun. Plus....I love to be unique, and this is one UNIQUE car! Make sure you get an aero because the suspension and HO turbo are WELL worth it

  • hey man, i just bought the same exact saab... where did u get ur aftermarket parts?

  • Hey bud, I got all my parts from Nick down at Geniune Saab. I cant post websites so go to google and search Geniune Saab. Enjoy!

  • get a volvo you tool

  • damn i didn't know saabs was this fast

  • Great car..

    I have one!

  • thanks

  • i have a question...when you turn the key to the "on" position does the speedometer cycle through all the way to redline and then go all the way back to 0 mph.... i was just wondering and i cant seem to find this answer anywhere...please help!!

  • Ya know, thats a good one....haha. I have no idea but when I leave today ill check it out and ket you know.

  • hey i just got a saab 9-3 03 and just wanted a few tips obviously I am looking at a bsr intake but what more???

  • Nice car man... I just bought an '03 9-3 linear, BSR intake will definitely be my first purchase :D

  • Smart move and congrats with the purchase!

  • yes my experince with my car handling is Amazing although my tires a by 8 my car will out handle just about any front wheel drive car. for example i can take a corner at 43mph with no tire squeal! i have not been able to do that in any other car i have driven and i have driven alot of cars!!

  • is the ecp on?

  • hi! ..nice car! thanks for posting this! is that only bsr stage 1 tuning + optiflow? and nothing else!? because i would like that wastedump sound in my car! so i need to know how to get it! ...

  • How does it handle?

  • The car handles extremely well. If you purchasing a Saab, better get the Aero package which includes the sport suspension. The rest is just sloppy

  • Nice video dude. I love these cars. I just happened to buy a SAAB 9-3, 2.0T 2006 and I love driving it. Just a question buddy. You know there are two signs (a man in seatbelt and airbag and the next one is man on seat belt with airbag having a cross on it). When we don't have the seatbelts on, the sign with the cross on the airbag is on which is understandable, but when we do have the seatbelts on, the sign with little man and airbag illuminates. Is it suppose to be coming? Thank you

  • also how in the hell to you get 25+ mpg i can get mine above 18.5??

  • You tell me....lol. Just filled up on Saturday, mpg for all city driving was 24.3 and I know I was screwing around a few times.

  • i put drilled and slotted discs on mine and ceramic pads also and i have NO brake dust and NO brake fade!!

  • ceramic brake pads stop dust

  • If you get caught speeding you don't stop "playing around" you get a laser and radar detector. I have a Valentine 1 and it works PERFECTLY, detects signals from far away for advanced warning, it's great! you've got to get one!

  • cool videom, I't considering the intake, oh yeah black wheels = no brake dust problems

  • 27/34 MPG, thats pretty good, I have manual and it does 24, same spec with stg 1. I get some boost cut sometimes, usually in higher gears/lower revs, new sparks made it a lot better but it still does it occasionally, anyone else had this with the BSR, I asked BSR, their UK dealer did not return my emails. Otherwise it works well as standard the Aero is a bit dissapointing, the BSR give it some guts as standard it didnt feel a whole lot quicker than my old 9-3 LPT !

  • the PPC stage 1 doesn't mess with the auto does it?

  • Our Auto transmitions are incredible. When I met the Swedish people at Genuine Saab last week, they said our trannys are bulletproof. Easily handle Stage 3.

  • really? for some reason(i dont know if it was related to our car specifically) i heard they had problems shifting gears in automatic... but yea they are great transmissions... i have an 07 2.0T myself...

  • The manual Tranny is very sloppy. Going to Stage 1 requires a clutch. That to stage 3, slippage. You going Stage 1 soon?

  • haha yeah the brake dust is a killer but it gives me more reason to wash mine :)

  • nice vid!

my 9-3 got the same BSR mod: 247hp with dual exhaust

significantly faster than stock and nice to have the 120km warning beep gone!
