To all that seem to think pipe smoking is as bad as ciggies etc, its a matter of the individual coping with whatever he/she does, I know too many examples of many who have mouth cancer who have never smoked a thing, and those who have smoked heavily all their lives and live til they are rip old ages, its a random thing, many things are bad for you, but if its your time to go - then it really doesn't matter what you do, you take the risk & you either cope or not, either way its a matter of choice

@beholderlt can you please give further information? i mean the lit part of the tobacco is basically touching the inside of the bowl. i can only compare it to a lit hookah-head and i really cant imagine how it is not going to get hot
@JohnomenalMagician the inside of the bowl does get quite hot indeed, but that's what the so called cake is needed for. It acts as a protective surface for the wood. The wood itself acts as an insulation material. As you're smoking the pipe, you must take care not to puff too intensively just not to overheat the pipe because it can burn or crack the wood. You really have to take your time when smoking. The pipe is going be warm to the touch, but not so hot that you can't hold it in your hand.
@JohnomenalMagician If the bowl gets too hot you should set the pipe aside and let it cool down. The difference here between ceramic bowl (hookah) and wood is that wood insulates the heat much better. Ceramics can transfer heat much better.

@TheChesney12345 That is not always the case. Just like smoking a cigar with pipe smoking you are not supposed to inhale the smoke. And in moderation (2 to 3 times a week) it is not worse for your health than walking in a polluted city.

@beholderlt can you please give further information? i mean the lit part of the tobacco is basically touching the inside of the bowl. i can only compare it to a lit hookah-head and i really cant imagine how it is not going to get hot

@JohnomenalMagician the inside of the bowl does get quite hot indeed, but that's what the so called cake is needed for. It acts as a protective surface for the wood. The wood itself acts as an insulation material. As you're smoking the pipe, you must take care not to puff too intensively just not to overheat the pipe because it can burn or crack the wood. You really have to take your time when smoking. The pipe is going be warm to the touch, but not so hot that you can't hold it in your hand.

@JohnomenalMagician If the bowl gets too hot you should set the pipe aside and let it cool down. The difference here between ceramic bowl (hookah) and wood is that wood insulates the heat much better. Ceramics can transfer heat much better.

You're a cool guy Jeff and I used to really like your channel...But as of late I haven't really enjoyed your vids, they are just not all interesting to me and they are very off track from what I originally subbed to. I don't want to unsubscribe because I do enjoy the knife/gun vids, but I hate my sub box being filled with this kind of footage. Can we expect a gun vid anytime soon?

Looking at your channel you know what ammo cost. guns and ammo are expensive his other hobbies are a little cheaper so no wonder we see more of them at this moment. Hey Cutlerylover; could you consider organizing your videos into playlists? like having all your tobacco videos in one playlist and your alcohol videos in another and so on. I think it would really help with the whiners who only wanna see one type of video and would also help with people like me who like to watch all of one type of video you've made in the past week before watching another. I really like the tobacco videos, me and my friends go out and smoke pipes and cigars on the weekend.
