I love my N-Gage and Gizmondo :U

The N-Gage is a really neat phone , I could emulate both GameBoy , NES and C64 on it (it has suport for more , but I had a small memory-card)

And the Gizmondo is just a really great HomeBrew platform , especially for Augmented Reality (seriously , if you haven't seen it , search "Gizmondo Augmented Reality")

I'm guessing though that you base your definition of "Failed System" on marketing and sales ... but nonetheless most of these systems are great :)
