It's actually pretty obvious what they did. The first player hits a real, yellow/tan baseball out of the court. What returns to him is white and slightly smaller. It's a whiffle ball. Simple misdirection.

This cannot be real. It's a clever idea, but the strength they are hitting the ball with each time would clear it at least over the court. The sheer speed that the ball is travelling at would be frightening - it's a bloody rock-hard baseball! If they used a tennis ball it might have been actually possible.

I'm sure there is someone out there with the focus and coordination to actually pull this off. I can't wait for that video to surface.

it's not real, good editing though. I would believe it if they were both hitting from the baseline, but one is taking full swings at mid court. To be able to have the timing/anticipation for the ball's direction that close and to be able to take a full swing is crazy.
