Ahhhh... the beatdown at 3:49 brings back some memories. God I loved this game. It was the high water mark for FPS IMHO.

Teams like Imperial Elite, Z2, Vacas, Oxy, PoE, u238, Sticks, the competitive-as-hell CTF ladder tourney on OGL, hanging out all day on the Tribes IRC server, the TW forums etc etc.

There's never been anything else as awesome as was Tribes in 1999, 2000.

TRIBES was a great game, especially Shifter mod. This brings back memories. This was best played with a graphics card using 3dfx Glide, but 3dfx went out of business. I liked that there were geometric buildings, but also vast exteriors with evocative names like Houses of the Holy.
