I thought that there was something going on between Michael and his younger brother: Corey Haim. I think it would be easy to see the subversive looks and body language between the 2. The story could easily be re-written about a love affair between 2 brothers, then Keifer Sutherland interlopes, and the Corey Haim character gets jealous and sends out for the boys to get his opposition. Just a thought haha. This movie is classic, one of my favorites! Just perfect with the music.

As for IwtV, I know that the director read the book as well as the others for research and one of the biggest subplots in those books is the love story between Lestat and Louis. David and Michael look like a replica of the two, David being Lestat and Michael Louis.
