To add to the situation further..listening to these narrations have made me want to purchase this book and the Rev's complete collection and it won't be long before I have his son's complete collection so I don't really think it ruins sells at all. It makes me want to own a copy and read it myself.

Again, this is copyright infringement. I'm sure you mean well, and if it was the tv series I wouldn't care, but it is very important that sales of this book are as high as possible - this won't help it! More than likely the people who hassled you to put it up won't bother to buy the book themselves (you can order it on Amazon if you live outside the UK - I did). Or at the very least consider taking it down for a year or so. Nothing personal man.

@Brendambranch If it was "copyright infringement," then a third party would have removed it by now, and his channel would be gone. Egmont doesn't care about this. Neither does Awdry. Seriously, are you new here or something? That's like saying all of us are infringing copyright for making remakes or narrating a story, or Hell, even filming with Trainz or MSTS.

@SodorProductionsII Yep he's just another user getting involved in something that has nothing to do with them. The Railway Series will sell well no matter what. Thomas is so popular that the videos ain't gonna put even the slightest dent in the immense popularity and sales of official merchandise; so basically he's making a big deal over nothing. RWS stuff has been on this site for years and have things went down in sales? Nope; they still sell fast.

Well, technically those other things would fall under copyright infringement, but I'm not worried about them. But the reason I'm concerned in this case is that Egmont in the past have claimed that there isn't a great market for the Railway Series. Thus it's important that people buy the book, if they can just look at the pictures online and hear the story some may not bother to do this. At least wait a few months and then put it back. Egmont may not be aware that this up.

Maybe Sharon Miller should have watched some episodes of Fireman Sam before she wrote Fiery Flynn (the Classic Fireman Sam series I should add).
