How to set a mole trap - spring loaded or spike style mole trap

does spike traps are not good! manny times the mole dies from the pain, and not a snapping neck or so. I also kill moles, but only use traps that kills right on the hit!!!

I killed 42 moles in my yard in 98 and only 4 with a knife. The rest with this trap. Listen to what he says apout having preexisting holes for the needles. IF the mole digs under the trap you can drop a rock in the hole instead of pressing it down. The mole will always push the rock up to the trigger and try to get it out of their hole .About the size of a pingpong ball. And use gloves so they don't smell you. Then I bought a Rodenator when they all came back.
