It doesn't matter who she duetted with, it doesn't change the fact if you go to a show by her, or any over-polished celebrity, they do tend to use things like lip-synching, auto-tuner, etc. It's because they want things to sound and look the best they can be, without putting the time and effort in being they best they can be.
@Crashilicious I've seen her live, albeit unintentionally. She did sing, but she also used auto-tune and there was a backing track with her pre-recorded voice on it, to support her stage voice. And no, Bon Jovi were not manufactured in the same way as pop stars are now. There was no polishing and over-producing on their early work. They always played their own instruments, wrote their own songs, sang and played live, and never used auto-tune.

I was a huge Bon Jovi fan, 'till last night. He gave us a really bad concert. He played only a half set and none of the good songs like runaway. He also did this 'speech'. His speech ends with "you know what will last? You're looking at it!" I agree, to be honest, but insulting other people to blow his own trumpet, ain't that the height of arrogance? And I for one know he doesn't know these artist at all, because I myself dislike Bieber, but he can play guitar, that not even a case of opinion.

As for Gaga and Bieber, they have their fan base. And although all the literal good music that MADE music today, and the inspiration that inspired artists today (Gaga and Bieber are in there) is gone, it doesn't make the new generations music bad. Britney has held charts and Gaga's going up there. I doubt they will make any nation anthems like Jovi or Leppard (etc.), but their music is out there and good, and we gotta embrace it. How long they'll last, who knows.

alright, you know what. I personally don't give a shit what you all think. It is my personal belief that Bon Jovi is, and always will be, one of the best bands that ever existed. And on a side note, they actually use real instruments! I think Lady Gaga has a good voice in comparison to other contemporary artists, but there is no real instrumentation.

Modern marketing can bring up an artist in days. Youtube, Twitter, the web, tv, the ipods... weren't existing in the early Bonjovi days. I remember my friend at school rewinding their tape player just to make me listen to one song of their favorite artist. And you had to listen the whole album before criticizing it. These days, you can get an whole music album or a single song in 5 minutes through the web. Anyway, it is 2 different generations and it is impossible to compare.

@Crashilicious I've seen her live, albeit unintentionally. She did sing, but she also used auto-tune and there was a backing track with her pre-recorded voice on it, to support her stage voice. And no, Bon Jovi were not manufactured in the same way as pop stars are now. There was no polishing and over-producing on their early work. They always played their own instruments, wrote their own songs, sang and played live, and never used auto-tune.

I was a huge Bon Jovi fan, 'till last night. He gave us a really bad concert. He played only a half set and none of the good songs like runaway. He also did this 'speech'. His speech ends with "you know what will last? You're looking at it!" I agree, to be honest, but insulting other people to blow his own trumpet, ain't that the height of arrogance? And I for one know he doesn't know these artist at all, because I myself dislike Bieber, but he can play guitar, that not even a case of opinion.

And although all the literal good music that MADE music today, and the inspiration that inspired artists today (Gaga and Bieber are in there) is gone, it doesn't make the new generations music bad. Modern marketing can bring up an artist in days. Youtube, Twitter, the web, tv, the ipods... weren't existing in the early Bonjovi days. I remember my friend at school rewinding their tape player just to make me listen to one song of their favorite artist. And you had to listen the whole album before criticizing it. These days, you can get an whole music album or a single song in 5 minutes through the web. Anyway, it is 2 different generations and it is impossible to compare.

i'm a huge BJ fan, i love them to death, but as i hate the ppl who criticize their music without evem listen to it; i don't like it when JBJ say stuff like that. Justin Bieber knows how to play giutar. i dislike his music, but i'm sure it's the record company choice, and i'm pretty sure he is a very telented kid. Lady gaga definitely knows how to play and write songs. I think that there is room for everybody, and i expect JBJ to be be a little more mature when talking about those things.
