Don't believe the bad reviews. For Rock, Blues, Jazz, and even some Metal the Nomad Rocks!! I have a Nomad 100 Head and it rivals my Matchless. The overdrive in these actually reminds me of my Matchless and my old Music Man. There are some seriously great tones hidden in these amps. Super versatile amp that changes your tone with the slightest knob twist . If you're having tone trouble READ THE OWNERS MANUAL...SERIOUSLY. There are some great tone tips in there and you"ll benefit greatly.

Scoop out that EQ when switching to the higher Gain Channels. Sounds shit when you switched the channel to Hi Gain. This amp is way more capable of Kicking ASS, and getting Super Boogie tone. It just goes to show how the operator of anything can sometimes Ruin a good thing.

The amp is too loud. That's why it sounds so shitty and grainy. The amp is too loud for the camera's crappy microphone to handle so it sounds blown out.

Ive had my Nomad for 2 years now and am currently gigging with it. Mine is a 100/50 watt wide body. I agree you have to work with each channel to round the sound out. But overall the amp is one of the best ive ever played through. I made the mistake of putting russian Sovek tubes in and am not happy with the sound im going back to mesa tubes. If this Amp ever fell of the back of a truck it would wipe out 10 cars at a time these things are heavy and built like tanks.

I agree with you on the tube choice as i did the same, ive owned my nomad 100 since 2002 and have to say wasnt that happy wiv it at first, however since getting to grips with the monster i wouldnt be without it, its an awesom little box of tricks with so much versatile tones, and bloody loud ! also have the dual rec but that is really a one trick pony in comparision, and also a 22+, boogies are arse kickers of the valve amp world... rock on

I have had my Nomad since 2001. It has a great sound but my only complaint is that the reverb is way too weak!

wow..no offense.anyone who plays has got balls..but I have been playing my Les Paul through my my nomad head with a different Cabs...and this video does not give a good demo of what that amp can do..dude needs to learn how to EQ it and round out the channels ..BUMMER

not surprised it sounds like shit!!! look how he has the e.q set, ive had my nomad for 6 years its a power house of tone and very versatile, mine is a 100 watt widebody, and would have to go a long way to find a better amp.

I own this amp and this does NOT do it justice. What the hell are you using for settings? I'd have to TRY to get it that bad. I don't typically rag on people's vids, but this one made some people think I own crap.

I own this Amp and for the most part im pretty happy but be prepared to tweak the hell out of this baby to get the tones you want. Its not just a plug in and play type of amp. Once you find the sweet spot in each channel its a great sounding amp. Tell you what its built like a frigging tank and not alot of fun to pack around but over all its a great amp just not for everyone. Note you may want to use a noise reduction pedal to quiet the tubes down thats always a big deal with the sound guys.
