@pauljasonh I just looked up Isaiah 63:17, and I would agree. I believe that , first of all, The Father had the foreknowledge of those who would believe in His Son in the first place. I believe that when you truly belong to God, He will never let you completely fall away. It sounds like God had granted His people repentance so they might seek His return I just pray that that happens for America.

There are many evil things happening out there - and it is our job to shine the Light. I think the point of this song is not to condemn America - but to worship fully our God who is so faithful.

The best version of this song I have heard! Great is Thy faithfulness to me, God...I have failed so many times, and yet you show mercy to me constantly through Christ. If you have never known His love for you or have fallen away from faith, I would urge you to seek Him. Though we may endure trials and suffering, God will never fail us!

Return to God America ,return to the God who shed His Grace on this nation!!! I see evil times coming upon this nation. I hope I'm wrong, but I doubt it. Let us return to Him and he will be faithful to us through the storm even if He chooses not to deliver us out of it!

@pauljasonh I just looked up Isaiah 63:17, and I would agree. I believe that , first of all, The Father had the foreknowledge of those who would believe in His Son in the first place. I believe that when you truly belong to God, He will never let you completely fall away. It sounds like God had granted His people repentance so they might seek His return I just pray that that happens for America.

@Bigfurry1975 It has to start with US personally, returning to Christ. It's easy to point a finger at others, telling them to straighten up - but we have to each individually do our own part! There are many evil things happening out there - and it is our job to shine the Light. I think the point of this song is not to condemn America - but to worship fully our God who is so faithful.

I feel like everyone is always foretelling dark days and that we are always in some great rejection of God. America is a place where Christians aren't persecuted and in an amazing place to live because of the great diversity. I don't think America has turned away from God. I think you need to chill out.

@jjjlllppprez This is true, however, I believe God blessed America with independence from Britain so that we might be dependent on Him. He wanted us to be a blessing to the rest of the world just as we individually should be a blessing to others. We have kind of gotten away from that though.
