It depends on how you compare art. It's like if you uploaded your film on Youtube and I said "I don't like it because it doesn't fits the Bozzetto standards". What kind of critique is that?

P.S. BTW, I'd be really curious to see that little animation of yours that people liked so much, you should indeed put it on your channel. Maybe we got another genius here.

If you dont like it thats ok, Its a matter of personal taste. I dont like most of BB's recent work.

But you made a comparison between different authors and thats wrong. Again, you obviously have never done any animation or you wouldnt say that skills & creativity make the difference. Without the right resources you cant express your talent. Just because a short looks "simple" it doesnt mean that its been done with scarce resources. You made the same mistake with BB's "squares & rounds" films.

Not fair because in animation more budget & resources = more quality. Animation is expensive. It's not like writing where all you need is ideas and some paper. So these kind of comparisons don't make any sense: it would be like saying that a Ferrari is better then a Smart. BB had a lot of resources since the beginning because he comes from a wealthy family, read his biography.

P.S. This film shows up next to BB's because his name is in the description on the right. That's how it works on YT.

kilocubo, i really don't know why you are taking this all so personal it seems. i wrote that because yes, his name was on there, it was in a festival he supported and organized and so it has a link, right? so that's how the comparison ended up. your critique wouldn't fit my video because it has nothing to do with bozzetto and i never wrote something about it:). i never said i'm a genius, i only said people liked it. i'm sure you also did something arty that people ended up liking. so why not?

You obviously have never done any animation. Those films with "only squares and rounds" may look simple, but they are not done with little resources. For one thing B. has his own recording studio and musicians. The soundtrack makes a huge difference in animation. And he has done it for 50+ years, most people can be that good if they work with the same medium for so long. Again, not a fair comparison.

Of course it does. I compare it because when searching for bozzetto things on youtube this video shows up. Thats why I made the link in the first place. I dont talk about the quality the cow is drawn very very good, the visuals are great and more complex than the small videos of bozzetto. But bozzetto, if you mention little resources, shows that you can manage a huge great piece of art with only squares and rounds. Hes just a genius.
