  • Maybe it's just me but.....It looks like he's done this once or twice before?!

  • we know, of course, plenty of country musicians who sing well, and we know plenty of country guys who play an instrument well. How many can sing beautifully and play 4 instruments brilliantly? There's talent worth its weight in platinum.

  • Love the split screens. It's like the opening credits to the Brady Bunch, except there's REAL talent here!

  • cool!

  • 0:37 where the hell am i?? awesome musician

  • Roy Clark mastered country music by himself, top it someone and I will bow to you

  • Now here's Roy.

    And here.

  • Anybody that knows anything about stringed instruments (especially guitar) knows that Roy Clark is in the top 5 ever.

  • best to play one instrument good, then a bunch of instruments half-assed?

  • whats cooler the fact he can play all thoose instruments or that he can sing

  • The Jack of All Trades, Master of None

  • Absolutely one of the best!

  • -Roy Clark is the man!!! Go vols!

  • Roy Clark is great but I can't stand that Big Orange song....lol Roll Tide!

  • Love that Roy Clark. Hee Haw was the best show ever

  • is there ne thing roy clark can't play

  • @cappsoutlaw he's one of the last of a dying breed

  • @cappsoutlaw He said once that he'd play this on the piano, but he couldn't hold one under his chin long enough to halfway finish. :)

  • @cappsoutlaw I don't think so. Any instrument with strings he seems to be the master of. Excellent musician who doesn't get the credit he deserves.

  • @cappsoutlaw not if it has strings.

  • @cappsoutlaw the trumpet? heeheehee

  • @cappsoutlaw yea trumpet lol

  • @cappsoutlaw apparently, the trumpet ;)

  • @cappsoutlaw That trumpet. LOL.

    It didn't have any strings.

  • @cappsoutlaw I bet he'd suck at CoD.. This man's a genius lol.

  • @cappsoutlaw yeah the trumpet didn't ya hear

  • Roy is always awesome and I've been a Muppets fan since the beginning. Bless Roy and bless Jim Henson.

  • A lot of people thought that The Muppets was a children's show, but they forget about all these great performances that you wouldn't see on any other "Children's Show". Alice Cooper, Roy Clark, etc.

  • Amazing!

  • holy shit

  • i was fortunate enough to sit front and center one afternoon in the roy clark celebrity theatre at branson while vacationing there. It made chills go down my spine to sit so close and listen to this legendary entertainer do what he does best. He is so AWESOME!!!!! THANKS ROY:):):): LOVED THE SHOW!!!!!

  • The Clogging National Anthem played by a legend!

  • Roy Clark is Genius on a banjo, guitar, and the rest of the whole nine yards...

  • Roy is great. But you can tell that they supplied all the instruments. He would never perform on that junk on his own. But he can make about anything sound great.

  • Whatever happened to our good country music

  • I have to agree with you it was good back before all the rock and pop stuff now it isn't like say back in the 50 or even 60 or 70's that was the good old days of country.

  • @emt2977 I agree what we have nowadays is pitiful

  • @emt2977 rap crap killed it

  • @emt2977 Same thing as Rock and Roll, its all pop now.

  • @emt2977 Bluegrass aint the same as country there fella

  • @murphmacmanus47 yeah, but unfortunately Hank Jr. messed up country music. This is NOT blue grass music.

  • @emt2977 Nashville

  • @emt2977 They all started bluegrass bands

  • music today does not have the skill or drive it once had its too easy for people trying to express themselves to make a record..dont blame the musicians...its the companies and the producers greedy for that next dollar..if you truely are a musician...you will trace back and find who influenced your hero...and then who influenced them...so simple but no one get it...and not to many people can open up their preconceived notions about music to accept something different....and Im talking bout ROOTS

  • I believe I saw this guy on the Hee Haw show and yeah I was just a kid.

  • Roy Clark looks like a mini Andre the Giant

  • I was thinking of a mini Hoss Cartright! :-D

  • I love Roy Clark...I have watched him play since I was a little girl and he is fabulous...Now, that I am 43 he is still just as fabulous....none of the people that call themselves musicians have even a once of his ablility...if it were not for computer augmentation to the music most would not even be in tune. We, need more music these days with more sole....

  • Another fun one to watch is Barbara Mandrell. That lady can play it all!!!

  • is there an instrument he dosent play

  • Yeah, they killed on the theme from Shaft, too.

  • Roy Clark was just as good-if not better at boxing than he was at playing music. He gave up a professional career on a chance.... good choice.

  • what ever happened to hee haw???

  • This is cool.

  • It was said at one time he could play about 19 different instruments. Yes, the Odd Couple episode is somewhere on here too.

  • Not to sure about this video..but dang, Roy could play the hell out of just about dang near any string instrument.

  • The man is awesome, no doubt. I'm not even a big country music fan, but this guy? Awesome. :)

  • I want to find a video of him playing on the Odd couple. Fastest guitar player I have ever seen!

  • So, is there anything he didn't play?

  • Comment removed

  • I've never been incredibly fond of Roy's voice, but his instrumental talents are amazing.

  • is that a mandolin?

  • yes

  • @DarkOsirisRose you betchum - I'd like to see it closer - those bowl-backs are a booger to play and keep from rotating on ya.

  • good old rocky top go vols!

  • Thats one talented sumbitch

  • Ok was donst he play ? That was awesome.

  • Go Vols!!!

  • this is what you call "talent"

  • I remember watching this as a kid brings back the good days!!!

  • Ditto!

  • This is my favorite version of "Rocky Top". No disrespect to the Osborne Brothers, but Roy sings the song in a key I can actually sing in. :)

  • Roy is STILL the man.

  • Roy Clark Shits the dixey chicks out in his stool.

  • are you kidding? he's be more than happy to play with them. that's what sets Roy over people like you.

  • Guy is awesome!

  • Way Cool performace!

  • What's that banjo he's playing? Looks like an oldie.

  • Sooooooooo much talent ! A LOT of musicians owe a LOT of thanks to people like Roy, Chet, Jerry Reed, etc.

  • Afro? You must be blind as well as deaf and DUMB! Roy Clark leaves more talent in one of his turds than all the combined dick-see chicks will ever amount to as long as they live. You must be a tree-hugging communist to make a remark like that. Certainly not an American....

  • though we disagree with Rheems, he has every right to say what he wants or be a communist aswell. That's america and as americans we shouldn't put stipulations on what that means.

  • Roy Clark is a banjo/guitar/mandolin picking genius. But, you are a hateful som-bitch, and you have no idea what being American means.

  • That is flat out incredible that one person has that much talent....Rock On!!!

  • 1978 appearance- today inducted into the country music hall of fame

  • Roy Clark is really in now??

  • I prefer muppets to republicans.

  • nice trumpet solo

  • I am in heaven too - this is great!!!

  • Roy Clark is a genius when it comes to stringed instruments. He can play more than what was shown here.

  • is roy clark dead?someone please tell me

  • no, he is still alive (*1933)

  • I don't remember this episode. but I think I've died and gone to heaven.

  • chuck norris thought it was roy clark

  • Thats Talent!!!!

  • anyone who says chuck norris is an actor obviously has never seen an actor

  • this rules

  • I LOVED IT!!!!!!!!!

  • The days of Heehaw and the songs that will always be and have a special place in America Culture and That is why We miss shows that Like that!!

  • It amazes me how many songs that I pick that the muppets sing along. Whooooh.
