I would not call the movie "great", but I'd say it's unusual and for Patton fans, perhaps worth a view out of curiosity. Mike doesn't stick around long enough in the movie as David in my opinion. More Patton as David I say! David was creepy but the scenes with him were just so short, few and far between to get a proper feel for that particular character (which I think could have really drawn the viewer in). The black and white was really effective too - what a pity there wasn't more of it.

thats definitely a good synopsis of what was so amazing about Pattons performance in this film. Which was easily the highlight. But I really loved his role as Frank too.

I've seen the movie. I found it unusual and kind of surreal and for me, somewhat strange/disjointed and cut off. I'd like to have seen more of the black and white parts with David (Patton), interacting with the family - not just the carnival scenes. His acting wasn't "bad" for somebody who is new to this, but it was strained at times. He could be good with experience as he's got the charisma, the unusual good looks (which can look creepy) - but it seems his life and interest is music.

patton's amazing always. but firecracker just plain sucked. just my opinion. and i actually saw it in a theatre. and the colors, oh the colors...were vividly flaming.

this movie was great , i wanted to love it but went into it expecting the worse, i was pleasantly surprised. black and patton were magnificent , and the movie was unique to say the least. at the end when sandra ran free and how the colors were used , everything about it. i think this will be looked back upon as a great underground movie once people start realizing how good it is.. but like everything of patton's it's slightly ahead of it's time.

I wouldn't even go near rap and I listen to shitloads of music. Bungle420, by the sound of it, actually knows some good rap groups. I know they're out there..
