  • Keep up the good work PatriotNurse. If you carry something that pokes holes you should carry something to patch them and have the skills to use it.

Great video that makes an often overlooked point.

  • @mandibles123 I was looking for that video as well. I already watched it and I saw she posted another video concerning the vaccine video, but when I went back to view it both vids were gone!

  • can you tell me how to see the vid ,why this nurse won.t vaccinate it ,private video, thank you,i love your shows

  • Really helpful info. Sub'd

  • I love the "Patriot Nurse" emblem at the end of the video! Thanks for doing what you do!

  • If anyone is in the Nashville area Zombie Squad Nashville is hosting Paul Gomez at the Rei brentwood location Feb 11th 12-4.

  • Nearly two years ago a young 20 year old hispanic woman Maria O'Connor was shot near the shop I work at. I was on my lunch break and hear shots fired. It was a drive by shooting. The innocent victim was about 200 feet away.I went to assist. She was not moving, nor breathing. Her two girl friends where screaming. The victim was on her side and a trickle of blood was coming out her nose. I didn't know what to do, no one else was approaching the victim. the police arrived and told me to get back.Sad.

  • @rootboy60 how horrible. and the apathy is horrible as well... but did she survive?

  • i disagree...

  • take a red hot iron & seal up the wound. probably will not feel so good : )

    but they may not die.

  • Gypsy love. Feeling it

  • PN you two worked great together! Asking each other questions and seeming like you were bouncing the conversation off of each other made for a really good video. You should do more together, if you can.

  • Who would you recommend in the MD/DC/VA metro area for such training because I'd love to have it under my belt.

  • wow...you two could be brother and sister

  • JUST SIGN UP FOR YOUR LOCAL C.E.R.T. (Community Emergency Response Team), THE COURSE IS FREE!

There are over 2400 C.E.R.T programs in the USA. Here in Washington DC we have them every month and you can take them a every month if you choose (like myself) and it's free! It covers everything you need to survive. After your training you get to test it out with live drills in your area and around the nation if you choose to travel. Oh, you get a great swag bag as well, I have about 10 now.

    Slick!

  • Are there ANY of these classes near Northeastern North Dakota?

  • Excellent video. Unfortunately, none of the training firms listed are at a reasonable driving distance from where I live (Southern Georgia). Can you suggest some firms where I can get such training that are located in the metropolitan Atlanta area?

  • Great Stuff. Training is good.

  • Great info. Thank you both.

  • How can I find a class here in San Antonio?

  • Great stuff. I think you are correct in the assertion that people tend to get hung up on hardware issues and neglect the software issues. Thanks for bringing up these very valid points.

  • If SHTF and someone gets shot there will be no EMS! Police will not show up.Then what?

  • Now correct me if I am wrong, When I got my CCW in Tennessee, I was told that after you shoot to eliminate the threat and there is no longer any threat of immanent danger to you or others, you are supposed to render aid. If let them bleed out you can be in trouble, I am an licensed EMT,I assume that it is within my scope of practice to have to render aid to the victim. If you are not licensed and you do something outside your scope of practice and you cause further damage you can get sued.

  • Your making a VERY BIG impact on young women (15 - 25). Thank you

  • I'm pretty sure the point of the video was to drive home the need for medical training to be able to take care of yourself &/or someone you care about, i.e. your spouse, child, etc if they were to be injured in an exchange of gunfire with some n'er do well.

  • The maturity level of those posting is pathetic. I appreciate the info she puts out. If I am involved in a shooting, like it or not somewhere down the line the county attorney will be making armchair decisions as to whether or not to charge me. If I can demonstrate that my desire was to only stop the threat and not kill the perp by doing those things that are within my skill level after I have deemed a threat no longer exits, it increases my odds of no legal action later on.

  • Great advise you two!

  • great info please keep up the great work

  • Well, in a state like california, if you shoot someone in defense, save their lives, you can very easily be sued, lol, so, I understand collateral damage, but still...

  • any resources for san diego?

  • This dude was on the One Man Army show on discovery

  • Thankyou for all the work you do for us all. Im from Canada and we are considering flying down for the conference.

  • Great message!

  • Strongly agree. Thanks for the reminder. You are doing wonderful work.

  • However, the figures themselves are astounding for Brits used to around 600 murders per year. In 2010 - the latest year for which detailed statistics are available - there were 12,996 murders in the US. Of those, 8,775 were caused by firearms here try this if you won't do it yourself..

  • @eaglehill6 I like how you cherry pick numbers... and don't account for population density Or correlate with other stats such as violent crime or robbery. Yes the US has as much as nearly 3 times the number of homicides per 100K people. But for total Crime the UK is actually NEAR THE TOP of the WORST most dangerous nations.

Depending on the year America might have 5.5 homicides per 100K, while the UK might be as low as 1.6. While the UK has as many as 13+ VIOLENT crimes per 100K

  • @eaglehill6 What should also be troubling is that Prevalent violent Crime (which the UK has) is more expensive and more damaging to communities than the US's Homicide rate is.

You are also not taking into account of how many crimes are stopped because of a gun vs the UK or any other nation.

REMEMBER the TOTAL # of violent Crimes in the UK DWARFS the US almost 3 to 1. 13+ per 100K people. Compared to US 5+ per 100K.

  • @eaglehill6 Lastly, consider the differences between the two nations in what constitutes a crime, how it is reported, and the expectations of law enforcement to handle the situation.

If you don't like guns, that's OK, I can respect that, but I feel differently, I understand my constitution and why the 2nd amendment is important. It goes beyond just crime statistics.

Even if the homicide rate is higher, I am more free in a 2nd amendment nation. I choose freedom over safety.

  • I took a medical training course and it wasn't what I expected. 8 hours and $350 basically taught me to tie off the wound, pack it (quick clot), and wrap it. I felt jipped.

  • That's logo is dope.

  • 5B's

    Bullets is the area clear/safe.

    Breathing cpr if needed

Blood - bleeding alot or a little.

Bandage - bandage here or somewhere safer.

Body ambulatory or need to transport.

  • can you send the links to us would like to do this is it on line

  • Great advise, I'm trained in basic 1st aid, CPR & AED. The job requires it.

  • LOL,, Great advice but really people,, only in the Great US of A, carry a gun, become a doctor and then what ?? Better to just get rid of all those guns !!!

  • @eaglehill6 Only problem with that is that guns are a lot like drugs in that regard. People who want them will find ways to get them, especially if they're criminals.

  • @hoax4254 That is true but it's a proven fact, the less guns on the street the less gun crime you have no matter who's carrying them. Just check the stats.

  • @eaglehill6 Show us the stats... There are more law abiding citizens who own guns now than in anytime in our history and wow guess what.... crime is down

Just saying... if your going to tell us to check the stats you should provide the stats

  • @stevemccollum2011 Compared to what ? Just google up gun crime and see how the US compares with other countries that do have gun control,,

  • @eaglehill6 So you have no stats to show...

  • @stevemccollum2011

15th February 2011 Wow. America ranked 4th in murders due to firearms! That says a lot. That does not seem very civilized to me. And just above us are like 3rd world countries with no laws or order. They just shoot whomever they please. We need to get serious about our gun laws.

  • @eaglehill6 America is very serious about guns, we even made it the 2nd Admin.LOL Really, so you think that you can sprout a few stats that every Liberal seems to think serves their agenda, and somehow change anyone's mind? If you want to serve your liberal Agenda come up with something different and not the same old tired Liberal tripe.

  • @stevemccollum2011 LOL,, this has nothing to do with liberal/conservative or whatever, This has to do with the deterioration of your society and the fact that the US is moving backward, so far back that you "think" you are first. And yes lets throw in your second amendment so that you can justify your idiocy. That's the famous excuse that you use to never address the real problem.Well better run along now and get your medical degree !!

  • @eaglehill6 Also the less guns on the street the more knife and blunt force trauma goes up.

Not many guns in 3rd world crap holes but a lot of Machete chopping going on. Do you think that is related.

  • @john762x39 I would sooner take my chances with someone with a knife, I know what it feels like to be stabbed(self inflicted by accident, former butcher) than I would a gun. Unless of course I had the knife then not so happy for the other person.

  • when seconds count, help is only minutes away......

  • Patriot Nurse: I don't know if you are aware of this but your looks give your feelings away everytime you look at Jeff - just FYI. Oh yes, this was a good report! Great to have Jeff on for this segment! While I don't advacating shooting anyone unless it is aboslutely necessary; I am of the opinion to kill the individual(s). Now if I or a friend (yes, even a by-stander) got shot, then you most certainly will need the training. In other words; I agree with you! Thanks for the post. Peace.

  • @hopenchrist777 yes she does (looking at Jeff)... :)

  • @SnakeDoctor33 Glad someone else noticed it. lol :)

  • @hopenchrist777 well jeff is openly gay so i think she's SOL

  • @trenttyre No kidding? I didn't see that in the video and don't know him from anywhere else. But if it's true, you're absolutely correct - she's SOL.

  • @hopenchrist777 (WorlWideWeb)(DOT)out(DOT)com/entertainment/television/2011/07/19/need-know-one-man-armys-jeff-bloovman

  • @hopenchrist777 PN isn't in love with Jeff. She was happy because we dropped by unexpectedly, and they hadn't seen each other in quite some time.

  • @SmashM3thod Well, I can tell this is getting out of hand. Sorry about that. It's really none of our business. I jsut thought it was cute how she was looking at Jeff - not knowing any better. Thank you for the response. Peace my friend.

  • ITS BLOODOG!

  • Everyone should have at least CPR and Basic first aid. Advanced first aid is better. EMT school is even better!

  • hah, if someone endangers my life im not giving them medical attention. if i put a round in his chest or neck hes going to bleed out because im not going to give him any compassion.

  • I take this to be more about saving your loved ones life than an attacker. Just sayin...the flag says, "Don't tread on Me" it never shows the rest of it, "But if you do, prepare to meet your maker!"

  • Just Remember - When Seconds Count , the Police are just Minutes Away - or if You live in Kansas Just Hours Away ! LOL Great Info. Thank You !

  • Is that a hat for Harvard Sportsman's Club?

  • Why would you try to save the person you shot? Medical training is good to have no matter what, but I am not going to worry about someone that was trying to kill/hurt me (or my family). If that person dies it is just less people that he/she could hurt in the future. Like I said medical training is great, but not just because you carry a gun.

  • @jay420365 How are they going to sue you in the liberal court system if you don't save them?

  • @theothertoolbox The family or estate just might. I've had some experience with this and it is; of course, ridiculous but it can happen - Just FYI. As indicated previously in my comments, it will fair better for anyone if they just kill the individual - but only if it is justified (in the eyes of the "Law" - and I use that term loosely). Most of the time you are correct though. Thanks for letting me chime in on this reply! Peace my friend! :)

  • @hopenchrist777 True...I was really just poking fun. I know they can sue, the next of kin can sue, their babysitter can sue...and on and on. This country's legal system is a effing joke.

  • @theothertoolbox Their next of kin can sue.

  • @jay420365 I know bro. I know.

  • @jay420365 Because when the family sues you or you have to go to court or the DAs office it looks real good if it appears that you tried. I'm not saying i agree but thats the way the world is

  • @jay420365 -- I'm pretty sure they were talking about having skills to render self-aid & aid to someone you are responsible for, like a spouse, child, etc.

  • Great Video and information: I have a few questions I hope you can help me with... The ONLY medical training I have ever taken was a CPR Class (Many years ago and I know I keep to take refresher course on this) I would love to take the courses mentioned in the video but the money is not there at this time. I live in North Texas, can you suggest some low or no cost training I can take in my area? My ultimate goal as a prepper is to be able to cope with minor and Major trauma (gun shot wounds)

  • @stevemccollum2011 send me a PM

  • @stevemccollum2011 I am in a similar situation, so I'd appreciate any correspondence between you two!

  • ...and if they deserved it, it is advisable to let 'em bleed. Sorry, but if you break into my home, I am NOT going to apply pressure to a sucking chest wound after I shoot you.

  • @tangledweb79 think the point you missed is what if you hit your spouse, kid, friend or someone else you didnt want to kill or murder?

  • @Prep4SurvivingMe Did I miss the point? They weren't very clear. =/

  • @tangledweb79 No, no, no, after you shoot the bad guy in the chest, you need to give him CPR and pump him dry...

  • Agreed. Luckily I got all my medical training for FREE!!!! In the Army. :S

  • @Highjak86

My friend, if you were in the Army, or any military service, you paid a quite a price for that training.

    thank you for your service.
