When I saw the new doctor, I wasn't sure, but after watching the trailer a few times, I kinda like him. However I do still LOVE David Tennant. And his converse shoes. And his suits. And his trench coat. :P

He was picked by the new lead producer, Steven Moffat -- the writer behind Blink, Forest of the Dead, The Girl in the Fireplace -- in other words, the AMAZING episodes of the new series. He picked Matt and we have every reason to trust his judgment.

i think Matt will be a great doctor. to be honest i didnt want Tennant to leave, but Matt does look good in the trailer. By the way, to the comments and ideas about a multi doctor episode.......How fantastic would that be :D
I'm just worried that 11 will be written too similarly to 10 because 10's personality was so popular...I mean he seems quite similar in this teaser, all sort of crazy and hyper and silly... I hope Matt manages to create a distinctive difference between the two incarnations!
I think by some of these trailers that Matt Smith will be a bit reckless. He punches a man in the face, hits a dalek with a sledge hammer, and uses a gun! I think it's pretty impossible to determine what Matt will be like

Cause we all know somehow Rose is gonna come back again! (Doesn't she always?!) Does this mean David Tennant will be seen in a few episodes in the future?! Somebody reply to this and explain this to me!
unlikely as the Doctor closed the rift for good and neither the clone or Rose have any reason to return to that dimension. Also the whole paradoxy thing with two doctors in one dimension ripping time apart :P though the reincarnation may nullify it.
Yes, it's possible, maybe for 2013 which will be the 50th anniversary of Dr Who. Eccleston could also return with Tennant for a multi Doctor story, but as he obviously doesn't much care for Who he might not
@Emily1ime Nine really wasn't much anti-gun or anti-murder (Cassandra being one example.) Remember the episode with the Dalek where he tried to shoot it? Ten had a bigger aversion to guns than his predecessor; maybe 11's the other way again.
this makes no sense how the hell do the daleks and the weeping angels survive and another thing hes so violent when theres all this comotion with the doctor hating guns and u see him about to shoot somebody now
