Lake Malawi African Cichlids Tank

Hey I have a cichlid tank with some unknown cichlids im pretty sure theyre from Lake Malawi can you help name them please? Check my channel for the videos.

but wait. all i do when i clean my tank is like take everything out, syphon the gravel, take 6 gallons out, put 6 gallons in, and add this salt thing. they grew real big and stuff. none died. i've had it for like a year and a half. am i supposed to have that sand thing you said?

are cichlid saltwater or tropical?

saltwater and tropical are the same thing.

african cichlids are freshwater, but you have to mix this special salt to create the environment of the african lake they thrive in.

Tropical refers to freshwater fish. Tap water with a african cichlid sand can come really close to the right water parameters. The salt just adjusts alkalinity and ph.

Those were real plants when we had that tank setup.

nice cichlids, nice set up. You know that the rock dwellers are vegitarians and they eat plants when they get a little bigger.

well, i prefer just rock in cichlids tanks, but ur tank is cool anyway
