  • Awesome job! This is definitely a professional-quality production. Well done, sirs!

  • Great work, mate!

  • amazing. thanks for taking the time to do this, it really adds to the immersion of the comic when i read through again.

  • Absolutely incredible. Fit the mood for Penny Arcade so well, and the beating rhythm at the end... Loved it.

  • ooo the music at the end

  • I had flash backs of BioShock for a moment there. Amazing work dude!

  • Some dickjob stole your video, it's in the related links. Who the hell does that?

  • I liked dickjob but I now realize I should have said junkslut. That's my favorite insult I ever heard, and I heard it on Penny Arcade. lol I forget what strip it was.

  • Excellent job on this video!

  • Stunning work! Kudos. I especially like the treatment of the song at the end. Something I hadn't expected, but an excellent presentation...

  • Very well done sir. That is what I say, stick it to those bloody wind-ups!

  • That was fantastic, well played.

  • We need to see a movie or something about this, they've created a world which works on so many different levels, Penny Arcade have done games, now they need to get into feature length films, even as a viral

  • an excellent piece of work

  • exceptionally well done! Its Pro, bro! Great delivery and every character really stands out on their own.

  • This was awesome. I love Penny Arcade's recent work with Automata, and this captures it perfectly.

  • props. I love it.

  • Great job

  • Amazing!

  • Very well done sir. You nailed the feeling and atmosphere of the conversation perfectly.

  • You did a great job, fella!

  • So awesome. My one single and only criticism is the radio host. I imagined him with a deeper and more raspy voice, to come off a bit older, but I can easily see why it was done this way, and it's extremely appreciated.

  • wow nice job, even liked the creepy ending

  • Wow, that is amazing, frankly amazing work. It nails the feeling of the comic right on the mark, and realy adds to the world [in my opinion]. It would be great if you could do more of these :P Mabey contact Jerry and propose to make more, that would be awsome :D

  • Wow, that's excellent work. Really nails the feeling I got from the comic. Great job!

  • Thanks for making this, it really adds to the universe - as little as there is yet, and already very evocative.

  • That was wonderful, really authentic. I think that you nailed the mood just right.

  • Good show BaneLou, jolly good show! This will be right straight entertainment for when I have to catch the consarned autogyro in the morning!

  • Funny that PA said the transcript happened on my birthdate 64 years ago. XD

  • I approve tremendously of what you put together and also of the Automata story arc.

  • Great job man!

  • way better myspace/rigidus

  • Awesome, quality work!

Although, I think in 1927 they'd redact much softer stuff than "fucking shit". At least in my head, I envisioned "goddamn Christmas crap" being censored. That's just an opinion though, and does not detract from the excellent production quality.

  • While that's no doubt true, I thought it worked - in the same way that Deadwood features modern day swearing because the idea of "God damn" being offensive is so ridiculous now that if you don't kick it up a gear the impact is lost.

Damn good stuff though, BaneLou! I relly enjoyed that.

  • Fantastic Job! Got me thinking I was back playing Bioshock halfway through. Kudos to you!!

  • High quality shit! Nicely done.

  • Awesome job!!!

And Automata has potential to be a great epic story! If only PA followed up on it some more...

  • amazing job dude

  • The Automata stuff is, I swear to God, some of the finest written work with some of the best concepts I have ever encountered.

  • Sweet lord that was awesome.

  • Holy crap. The bit at the end seriously creeped me out.

I really hope PA keeps up the Automata transcripts so you can keep making stuff like this.

  • You, sir, win the internet.

  • Excellent job, and the music at the end fit perfectly.

  • Ding! Fan-bloody-tastic.

  • Incredible. I couldn't bring it to life this much as I read it...

  • Absolutely fantastic! Well done, and fast too. Holy crap.

  • This is without a doubt fantastic. The little artistic freedoms taken really add positiviely to the whole.

Five stars, and let us all hope it doesn't end here!

  • What amazes me the most is how you managed to throw this whole production together in under 12 hours.

    Dude...

  • Gotdamn that was good. Bravo...

  • Absolutely stellar. Excellent work.

  • I need more of this in my life *nods*

  • Like bioshock..

  • This is Great, and the part at the end with thumping sound was creepy... in a good way!

  • Whats awesome is that you're English. As I was listening, I thought to myself "The other stuff is good, but the english accent sounds rushed." Touche, good sir. Touche. Awesome job.

  • Very well done. You can kinda tell all the voices are from the same person. You captured the tone I read in the transcript perfectly.

  • The music is a very nice touch- gives you a feel for the setting for sure

  • Great stuff! His voice kind of reminds me of David Cross.

  • What to say... ...very futuramaistic... ;)

    I like it!

  • Great job, sir. I know the only complaint people have is with the degree of the cursing, but I honestly filled in the blanks with the exact words you did here.

I want them to just start an Automata comic book. These guys have a knack for creating a rich universe with apparent ease.

  • Outstanding workmanship, because like generations that passed unmet before me, I have never been as glued to the speaker, watching a world coalesce around me from sound alone. And the speed at which you went from script to exceedingly authentic production: just outstanding. I salute you, BaneLu! Thanks for adding one more dimension to this rich world that Tycho and Gabe are taking us to; it was fascinating before by picture and words alone, but your recent addition adds an all new reality to it!

  • Fantastic job! Creators made it reaaaly quickly too, within 12-24 hours or what? I'm loving the Automata stuff. Long live PA (or its Automata arc anyway)

  • That. Was wonderful.

  • I'll echo everyone else and say GREAT job! I'm British too, and thought you were American. About that end music though: I have the Blade Runner soundtrack and listen to it fregularly, but I don't recognize that ambient stuff. How did you get it? Is it incidental during the movie, and if so, what scene?

  • Also curious about the ambient music at the end, anyone got a name for that track?

    Excellent job.

  • Really enjoyed this. I wasn't fully into the Automata experience until now. Now I'm kinda thinking I would watch a movie about this stuff.

  • Top notch. Even the video was well produced, and it was simply a static image with some visual effects. i really enjoyed this :)

  • Great job. Glad to see so many fans.

  • Great job, man. Seriously, well done.

  • "(redacted)" probably should have been recorded as "damn" than as the f-bomb.

"Damn" was probably the worser curse in the 20s.

    Good job though. Professional sounding.

  • You're probably right, but this is an alternate reality of sorts. They weren't using any distinct 1920s lingo in the comics either. A good point regardless, I wouldn't have even thought of that.

  • Yeah, I had the same reaction.. I was actually filling in "damned" or "damnable" while I was reading the transcript, so the cursing immediately broke me out of the mold a bit, but it was still excellent overall.

  • Well done! Here's hoping for a few more!

  • Very nice! I could tell you're either British or it was water-downed, but my step dad is a Scouser. But you did freaking GREAT on it. Missed a couple lines, but the voices were freaking amazing for the characters!

  • That ambient music at the end, can I download that somewhere?

  • This is fabulous! Enhancing the Automata experience for all of us.

  • Phenomenal work.

  • Great job with the accents, I'm American, and I wouldn't have known you were British if you hadn't said so here. Masterfully done overall.

  • Really loved it, but I'm pretty sure it's "Hat-racks" no "ha-tracks."

  • Perfect in every way from the cheery background music to the scratchy overlay overy the Automata icon. You have brought out the spirit of the 20s beautifully.

  • This was really spectacular. Thanks for doing this :)

  • Wow, great job.

  • Very cool! Had a kind of "Bioshock" vibe to it, which I mean as a compliment. Really liked the ending; kind of expected the "O" to turn red there. :)

  • Really impressive, adds tremendously to the already fantastic Automata world they have running.

  • Really cool, you did a great job on this. I especially like atmosphere you created with the music that slowly builds up at the end.

  • This is great, how long did it take you to make?

  • Great job! That was quite entertaining.

  • Great job! ^_^

  • Absolutely outstanding, not surprised at all that Gabe and Tycho thought so. I hope that they do their 'revisit' of Automata before too long after page 5 shows up.

  • Full graphic novel! Full graphic novel!

Man, I'm all jacked up on that idea.. and Wheatimax! Mmm mmm, taste the nutrients!

  • Well done, sir! Well done indeed!

Excuse me, I have to go eat a bowl of Wheatimax.

  • Very well done.

  • Yeah I'm English. So yeah, the American accent is faked. I wasn't completely satisfied with it, so that's a nice compliment, thanks.

  • This is really, really good.

  • Good job, sir.

  • This is completely excellent.

  • Just awesome.. Well done :D

  • You're pretty damn talented. You do good voices. If there's ever a bigger project I could lend some voice-overs. People tell me I'm good at voicing. That'd be fun, and I've been a huge PA fan for years.. Automata is one of Tycho and Gabe's better ideas, I felt it was much better than that Mary Blaire lookin Lookouts stuff.. I like Gabe's art, but the guest artist I wasn't happy with.. I read PA for their shared writing and ideas, comedy, and GABE's art. Anyway, automata is a great idea.

  • Holy shit.

  • Damn fine job you did here, sir. You even managed a feminine voice outstandingly. Your profile says you're in the UK, if your American accents were fake, they were very well done.

  • Great stuff.

  • The music at the end is from the bladerunner soundtrack.

Someone mentioned being commissioned. Yes please any media people watching :P

Thanks for the kind comments everyone.

I'm still very surprised I got on the front page of PA. I wasn't even expecting Gabe or Tycho to see it.

  • Very nice work. Congrats on the front-page mention.

  • Awesome, simply awesome. Nicely done.

  • An amazing job if you had taken a week to make it. Given the time you did it in, this is nothing short of extraordinary. Someone should commission you to do radio serials.

  • Well done :)

  • Stellar work.

Out of curiosity - why did you omit that one line and its reply?

  • You are made of awesome!

  • Man, that was absolutely excellent. Kudos on a job VERY well done!

  • Out-motherfucking-standing. Odd little aside, when I listened to it, my headphones went out momentarily. I don't know what I was hearing, it seemed to be just the background noise of the video coming through, but for a moment, it sounded a bit... Clickwise...

  • This is incredibly well done. From the voices, to the music, the introduction, the ad, everything. I also like how eerie the ending is.

  • Nice! well done. I can't wait to read the rest of the comic either. I was a little upset they went ahead with the story about the kids first :(

  • That is extremely cool! Great production!

  • Great audio work. The way the music changes at the end...creepy.

  • Awesome job. 5 stars from me.

  • Can you please link to the end music used after the transcript is read? The trance track.

  • That's fucking awesome. Good job!

  • Very well done.

  • amazing! good job!

  • Good job, slick. Great voices, and great production.
